As a Hispanic person watching this even years later it stings and it’s so true how democrats take the Latino vote for granted.
The Democrats use anything they can then after elected what have they done? Southern wealthy Democrats would actually tell poor whites that black people took their jobs just to get votes from them, even though it was the wealthy democrats who were responsible for the poverty wages. My wife, a Latina, thought Democrats were gold when she first came here. After 20 years she's learned the truth. Alexandria, Virginia is a wealthy place to live. When a group of Mexican workers pooled their money together to rent in the same neighborhood they had to work in the neighbors blew a gasket. We'll take your vote but NIMBY. They feed on misery. I'm from Baltimore originally, they did the sane thing to blacks there. Promises never kept and the city looks like a war zone.

Not one anti Trump joke was said . I thought it ironic . So this year I watched him on Memorial Day . Same thing no anti Trump jokes . I then realized that on both occasions the audience was totally military . Now sense it is pretty much a no brainer that the military is prominently republican do you think there was a connection ?

It was that HOURLY realization, how it just slowly materialized. How we were certain that a sociopathic racist who brags about assaulting women would NEVER win. We were ready for our first female president. Dave and Chris have been around long enough to know that there's some serious disconnect when it comes to equality and justice. This was a perfect reminder.

The best part about this to me, watching years later, is the fact that it’s their friends and families who work at HuffPost, Slate, CBS… it’s like they’re oblivious that it’s people like them in these positions who had been telling them what was going on, who everyone was going to vote for, etc… while ignoring everyone not living in their city bubbles. News stations are run in cities. Cities are blue. Makes sense.

Funny thing is that the Latino vote in Florida isn't really all that reliably Democrat. A large portion of the Cuban community has been voting Republican for many decades. Trump didn't do all that well, only getting 35% (still 7 points higher than he got nationally), but Rick Scott and Ron DeSantos got 45 and 44% of the Latino vote respectively last year.
