The magical thing about this song is that it doesn't feel much personal to a lotta young people but with the course of life experiences, they realize that this song is super deep and honestly personal. I'm just glad, that I learned to appreciate good music since my very early days. *Thank you, Eric!*
Life in 12 Bars its on my DVR. He wanted to explain himself before he passes I think it could be a mini series its just a tidbit of Eric. I also have 6 String Stories a book by Eric. I have all the Crossroads DVD,s but 2023 its not out yet. I was fortunate to be there. ❤ Forever Fan❤
@@kathif17 I've been a longtime fan, and I've read the book about his life (so far). Movie might be a little premature, but when it does happen (and after he's gone) , it will be EPIC!!
When I first heard this song 40 years ago, I liked it but I didn't love it. Now with 40 more years of life experiences I can really appreciaate the simple, uncomplicated lyrics and their powerful messages. "It's all wrong, but it's alright" is genius. Thank you, Eric, for all these years of music.
It still blows my mind that a guy who looks like an accountant or a priest can have legendary voice, talent, and a voice like this man. God bless Eric Clapton.
Let's not forget Bobby Whitlocks contribution to not only Bell Bottom Blues but near every song on the Album bar Layla Duane Allman made a good song Great with his superb slide playing.
here i am again.. listening to him. i get such a nostalgic feeling when i listen to this, but i like that feeling and it's quite familiar :) He is an absolutely, totaly, completely perfect musician. hard to find music this good these days
My first boyfriend, Danny, would play this to me while we sat on his electric blue charger. Always brings a smile to my face. Sadly, he passed away at age 31. We will surely meet again in heaven.
Im 55 years Old and grew up with this song, I remember being 15 and my first love was 18. It was the song that always reminds me of him. I married that guy when I was 18 and had a daughter at 19. He passed in 2001.....I love this song
If you perrish standing with me promised is life rewarded then with me. I was also told that I should never compromise my vision that is a just telling
I had front row seats to a show on this tour, Clapton was at the top of his game then, unbelievable . And the big bonus was getting to see Billy Preston live , even played one of his hits , Will it Go Round in circles. ( Preston passed away at 59 yrs old about a year after this tour ended)
Honestly I love Clapton. Not only can he play different genres from rock to country to blues and reggae, he takes songs hes already done and does the slowhand/acoustic version and it can end up just as good if not better. I also love the addition of an organ (Synth organ) because you dont hear too much organ playing unless you go to church or something. Lot of blues music doesnt have an organ, same with rock. I love a good organ playing
Eric is one of my all time favs of all time.and guitarist also.Wonderful Tinight was the first song I learned to play.and it's always requested for me to sing also.Eric can play anything and make it sing so damn good
I will never forget in 1967 listening to a bootleg album of Cream when I lived in the Village NYC We call The God on guitar...am 68years old and still love him♥️🌈♥️
Preston also does an incredible job in the "Concert for George" when they do "Isn't it a pity" Of course Billy does an excellent job whenever his fingers touch those keys.
So many times I missed his local gigs, as a young lad. When his recent Austin 2021 schedule was announced, I went all in and lucked out on an 8th row seat on the floor. He and Doyle Jr on backup were just great. I noticed Eric aka "Slow Clap" eating lunch out on the sidewalk at an outdoor downtown ATX eatery, a couple of days before the concert. Was gonna give a shout out, but didnt want to interrupt his sandwich. Was great to see Jimmie Vaughn .......another great performer..... and his band, out on stage as the opener, too.
Am just literally on the floor buzzing with this perfection..so glad to know l was around for the first version of this phenom..old is not so bad when you know loving Eric never needs to stop..🇨🇦
Nada mais emocionante e maravilhoso do que ouvir as músicas deste fenómeno mundial que é Erick Clapton. Obrigada Waner Records, por me proporcionar tamanha riqueza. Obrigada pelo carinho e atenção! 👑🏆💎👏🌟🎸🎶❤️🌷🍷
@Eric Clapton, You're my favorite Guitarist with Stevie Ray Vaughan. I like blues, as Lucky Peterson said "Blues is life". I also listen Fingerstyles like Andy Mac Kee, Calum Graham, Trevor Gordon Hall because I like so much Guitars, Acoustic, Electric, I dream to have an Electric Guitar I often listen your Songs, Leila, Wonderful to night, Knocking on heaven Doors your playing of this song is the best playing. Pretending, my Father's eyes, Bad love, Cocaïne, you're my picture of Blues and rock with Stevie. I hope I could see you playing one day in Marseilles or Paris, in France, or I had to go to England, I know only Ireland and Canada. Have a nice week-end. Take care of you and family.
Learning this song.14,....76ish helped me realize such beauty in a guitar..eric has never disappointed..amazingly consistent in his offerings of broader rock and roll...thnx too Duane..masters touch.
Not much of a Clapton fan, but this song gives me goose flesh. Lyrics so raw and honest. Nobody wants to fade away in the mind and heart of someone who truly moved us. For years I didn’t know this song’s name nor the artist. Thanks to the Shazam app I now do.
I can not understand how anyone could dislike this beautiful and touching song.
I used to hate this song, and then I saw this version. This is beautiful
The dislikes cos the song ended
I agree
Maybe they know Pattie Boyd...the song is about her..
@@MikkaZKitkanot sure why that would make them hate the song. Tribute to her, he knew he couldn't have her but...
Those fills of Preston just elevated this song...RIP sir
Look at his face. Look how happy he is playing and singing, after 45+ years of performing. Talent + Enthusiasm = Awesome.
I would consider Eric on the top of musical geniuses of all time
The magical thing about this song is that it doesn't feel much personal to a lotta young people but with the course of life experiences, they realize that this song is super deep and honestly personal.

Quite powerful 40 years down the road!!
Nailed it! 🎶❤️
It's so comforting playing guitar along to this fantastic tune
I think Eric Clapton deserves a movie biography about his life and songs .
Yes with Gary Oldman playing him
Definitely!

Not really
Pure talent no gimmicks just a regular guy doing what he loves to do
Billy Preston on keys, Nathan East on bass make this a super group.
Don’t forget “ Godd “ on drums and long time Clapton sideman the hugely talented Andy Fairweather Low on guitar 👍😀😀
Man I've loved this tune since the moment I heard decades ago. It's always fresh.
Me too❤🎸
This song is definitely a 10/10 in any version! Just perfect!

Thank you Mr. Clapton for your wonderful.contribution to the world of music.
My Husband and my song 40 years ago. Still is
When I heard my dad sing it before he died,, I cried,he loved this song.
I hear you...same here...
Sweet song now thats a talented man!!!!
Anyone who has a certain person in the back of their mind that has always been there can relate to this song. Eric is a master.
Everything Mr. Clapton does is great but this is special and your right his vocals are excellent and consistent unlike many so called great vocalist!
Best ever performance of this song, so emotional and passionate .
This song, album and man has changed my life forever
I absolutely love Eric Clapton . He a amazing musician. And he has been growing every day. Always pushing himself to perfection!!!
"It's all wrong, but it's all right."
I will never get over the genius of this lyric. What a legendary performance!!
@Eric Clapton love to you from Mississippi Bell bottom blues ...GOD BLESS YOU
It still blows my mind that a guy who looks like an accountant or a priest can have legendary voice, talent, and a voice like this man. God bless Eric Clapton.
Look into his early days he was the definition of cool ,everyone use to be groovy. Iwant bell bottoms to come back...
Ever since his sons sad death hes focused on composing and now age hes heartbroken and not groovy...
You're exactly right on the priest thing.
This song never gets old.
I agree.
Amazing version! Love Billy Preston' work on organ and Nathan East' bass lines, simply amazing.
Don't worry Clapton.
You never fade away.
This is actually my favorite version of this song.
It is just phenomenal and very emotional.
Wesley Schulz from the lumineers has just released a cover version and damn its almost as good as the original worth a listen 😁
@@bastianhohnkemusic6781 thanks heaps for the recommendation, that was chill-inducing
I'm on board with that. Really solid
I agree. The mix on the original studio recording was thin and narrow. It drained the life out of a beautiful song. This is much better.
@@pgmorrow 100pc. i stumbled on this first then checked the album version... i was very surprised! that said, what can beat this arrangement!
"I don't want to fade away...You won't find a better loser..." How many of us can relate to lost love with the lyrics from this most lovely song?
Clapton is like wine, he gets better and better as time goes on
His voice is silk
Never gets old. Reminiscing those good ole days.
Just when you think there are no more tears, this wrings out any remaining !
😢
It makes me so melancholy.. so vaclemped... .😢
Eric Clapton gets better the older is he get. Like a fine wine
A classic song by one of the greatest to ever pick a guitar up. So much music in this piece. They are SO relaxed.....
I do believe this is the BEST performance I ever heard of what I personally consider his best song.
Timeless music. Love the organ part
As I said before, I loved Billy and miss him dearly.
The late great Billy Preston
Billy Preston I fuckin dig his style and it makes me happy to hear his contributions to this
RIP Billy you had a short run but your contribution endures 😊❤
One of the greatest guitarist EVER

His voice will live for ever!
Bobby Whitlock's voice on Derek and the Dominos. Co-wrote with Eric!
I underrated his songwriting talent and that's saying alot. His voice matches the meaning of the lyrics and that makes it timeless for sure!
This is my favorite song by Eric Clapton remember the 60 and 70s
My first boyfriend, Danny, would play this to me while we sat on his electric blue charger. Always brings a smile to my face. Sadly, he passed away at age 31. We will surely meet again in heaven.

Wow thats sweet
Sorry
Yep, 1970 was a good year in this respect.
"I don't want to fade away....in your heart, I want to stay." A smooth and easy classic!
"You won't find a better loser" caught me right in the throat.
...Bobby came up with that whole verse....and the refrain, " do you wanna see me crawl across the floor,..."
@@garyfield56-I love Bobby Whitlock
Mine is “im sure were gonna meet again. And if we do, dont you be surprised....if you find me with another lover”. Complicated breakout
