    I really admire and respect your honesty with your journey and your willingness to be open. I really like how you just share what YOU are doing and how you are clear that this is what works/worked for you and not that it’s THE way everyone SHOULD eat. I am really tired of hearing the carnivores say that this is the ONLY way to eat. Fact. And the vegans say the same. Fact. And this person says no, this way. Etc, etc. Everyone is SO SURE that their way is the right way. Sigh. It’s great to share what has worked for you but stop telling people that they are doing it wrong if they aren’t doing it your way. This comment is for the commentators and readers in your audience, not for you. As I said in the beginning, I think the way you share is amazing and is probably the most important aspect of your sharing ❤️👏🙏

      Thank you so much for sharing this. I always try and come across authentically and simply share what has and has not worked for me. I'm understanding more and more as my journey evolves that what works for one person, may not work for another. Therefore, I'm trying to move away from any judgment and rigidity to being more gentle and fluid in my sharing. Thank you xx

    great video, I agree the mind plays such a huge role in healing, especially in sensitive people.
    Lissa rankin wrote a great book "mind over medicine" which showed me how I was stuck in the fight or flight response constantly throughout the day. She made a great 20 minute summary on ted talk....... her book is a must read for sensitive people.
    Instead of ONLY doing one 20 minute meditation session and then shallow breathe the rest of the day, I now try to keep my body constantly in a relaxed healing state by slowing down my breathing and focusing on my breath. I had NO idea how much the breath affects health from a scientific perspective. I was basically hyperventalating and stuck doing short quick breathes throughout the day which put my body in a slight fight or flight constantly which puts a stress on the body and hinders the healing process.
    If they ever come up with a reliable mineral level test, I bet many of us will find problems with iron, zinc, iodine, selenium. and vitamin D
    I still think the optimum diet is a massive amount of fruit, some greens and a little meat (non sentient oysters/clams if possible). With absolutely no processed foods from corporations.
    Keep running experiments on yourself (sharing failures and successes), and as you know it can take 3-6 months for the experiment to show results.

    Hey I had upper left chest pain for years while being vegan. I decided to pay attention and found out it was oil. The next day I tried to swap it for nuts(I made an oil free raw organic bobs red mill queso).it tasted great but I got upper left chest pain had to sit down etc. I also had bad fatigue throughout those years still got a little. Anyway thought that raw veganism would be good, but I think the problem is too much fruit hurt my teeth and nuts got a bunch of fat and hurt my upper left chest. I tried a bunch of times to eat nuts or oil but got that pain. For those reasons I won't being doing raw. Also, walnuts fresh are creamy and sweet. I have never bought walnuts from the store even close to them. Peanuts etc are known for aflatoxins.
    D deficiency I guess the main symptom is fatigue. I take it and it does help. Also potassium I've found helps so I make sure to eat potatoes and not too much banana cuz teeth.
    My main point is starches don't hurt the teeth and don't have much fat. I'll be eating em. Don't have to feel guilty about it at all.
    On a health journey I think you should feel better not worse. I generally don't believe you should feel worse before you feel better. If you believe that how can you ever tell the difference between getting worse and getting better.

      @@jimmyjohnny5661 I’m glad you experimented and discovered what works better for you 🙏🏻 We all need to do that on our healing journey.
      Healing is not linear though, so you can’t expect it to be all positive and uphill. There will be times where we experience setbacks and flares, depending on our unique situation. I think what’s most important is being aware if you’re overall feeling stronger, healthier, more energised etc. That’s key in knowing you’re on the right path.

    great video :) I was wondering what is your job or career? I'd love to work from home but that is tough to get. typical corporate jobs don't appeal really but I just want to be financially stable...i feel like ultimately i would like to work for myself helping others but it's rough.
    Also do you think you would eat gluten now? I read how just some are sensitive to it but it's tough to avoid. Did you focus a lot on gut healing / fermented foods during your journey

    • @OliviaBudgen
      @OliviaBudgen  7 месяцев назад

      No I don’t have the desire to eat gluten. I don’t think it’s beneficial for our bodies. But, if you are super healthy and don’t have any symptoms, I don’t see it having too much of a negative affect if you ate it every once in a while. I used to focus a ton on gut health and fermented foods. I used to make my own fermented food weekly, but I personally didn’t notice a positive difference, so discontinued the practices.
      My parents have supported me whilst I’ve struggled with chronic illness - I’ve been very fortunate in that sense. I used to do health coaching, but not anymore. I actually now to crypto currency trading 😁 which I really enjoy. I’m also working on a 30 day raw food challenge to help others experience the benefits of a raw food diet. I have a recipe ebook which I sell, also.

    Not here to encourage you for what you are doing, though great you are not following MM anymore. But my message is a bit different. Probably you won’t listen but I’m going to say it anyway.
    I was in this “healthy” trap for years, following medical medium, eating high raw, spinach soups, smoothies every day, celery juice for periods of time. When my problems got worse I thought it’s detox. There where things that didn’t make sense but still I continued.
    10 months ago I slowly started coming out of this, but was still so brainwashed and afraid what will happen if I eat this or that. I was afraid of fats, I was so certain that they will hurt me, so I kept a keen eye on that.
    Now I’m eating largely animal based, 50% calories from animal fat. A lot of eggs, meat, cheese and some fruit and potatoes. After 2 months I noticed that I’m not sad or depressed anymore without a reason and I was more stable overall. All the weird symptoms like ringing in the ears, spasm, random pains disappeared. And I truly enjoy food now and I understand what does it feel like actual satisfation from food.
    I know how hard it is to let go of all of those beliefs, oh how afraid I was to eat fats in the morning.
    If you start feed your brain with proper nutrients from a lot of animal fat you don’t need any nervous system theraphy. You don’t even think about it anymore you just start to feel good.

    • @OliviaBudgen
      @OliviaBudgen  15 дней назад +1

      @@Piacetta hello, thanks so much for your comment. I really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. I certainly realised I was caught in some sort of trap, too, which is why I started working with a brain rewiring coach, to support myself to make any necessary changes 😌 I am consuming a much wider variety of foods and very much enjoying it. It’s hard for me to comprehend why I’d need animal products though, as there are countless people who thrive on a vegan diet. It obviously can be done. But I do understand everyone is different. It’s confusing too, as I used to eat animal products multiple times per day, but was still experiencing the symptoms.
      Anyway, I’m continuing on this journey to see where it all leads 💚 Nervous system work has been paramount in helping me heal in others areas of life, not just food. Glad you found health and peace in your life with it all x

    • @Piacetta
      @Piacetta 14 дней назад +1

      Thriving vegans? Some probabaly yes. But if I was a vegan and someone asked how am I on this diet I always said :”I’m great”. And the first 3-4 years I was. And when things did’nt feel right anymore, I never suspected that it has anything to do with my diet. Because I was eating so “healthy”.
      If I talk about eating animal products I don’t mean average human diet, that is based on grains, some veggies, fruits and animal products are mixed in. This kind of diet wont help anybody.
      I mean whole food animal products, no processed canned foods. Pasture raised eggs, grass feed beef, full fat organic dairy/raw dairy. No grains, no seedoils etc. Only some fruits and ocacsional veggies if you like. This is something very different.
      Most vegetables and fruits as we know today are only been availabe a few thousand of years. They are genetically modifed and cultivated for us to make them edible.
      But anyway do what you believe is best for you and I hope you will get better. All the best!

    Nice to see you Olivia..& Wishing you good flow comments from all of your viewers 🤞
    I get on very well with Natural Hygienic diet as you know..But I also relate to being more gentle than perhaps I was in years gone by.
    I was only yesterday sharing with Dr Doug a recent healing story; when just before Christmas I “burned” my lips on a small punnet of prepared packaged pineapple..I didn’t think much of it at the time, except I also took a 6 min sun bed soon afterward..Nothing out of the ordinary for British wintertime. Except that by Christmas my lips shrivelled up & gradually became incredibly painful, despite my background in nutrition & beauty therapy blah.
    I fasted on only water for a few weeks..usually my answer to everything, with much experience & past education from my mentors..
    However, fasting, chlorine dioxide, colloidal silver, ozonated jojoba oil, beeswax..to no avail, I finally resorted to my local doctor for an allopathic cream prescription to heal skin across almost half my face by then ! that had become infected.
    A week on I had fully recovered, including better nights of sleep.
    I still haven’t fully moved out to Texas, as my dad died & Ive had a lot to do with his affairs..But Jacob’s coming for late Spring & summer & perhaps we’ll be ready by then.
    I feel it’s gonna be an interesting year for us all..Bring it on 🌏🔥🙏
