This is an unboxing and quick overview of the NTP31 which is around $30, the titanium version NTP30 is about $100 but it's much higher quality and there are also options like the NTP21 which is the cheaper and again the NTP20 is the higher quality one. I really liked the pen (NTP31) when I started to write with it, but after a few lines of writing the ink thins out and isn't as smooth a writer as I'd first assumed. I'm not happy about "re-writing", or waiting for the ink to catch up to get the previous line density, if I can get it to work correctly. I'm thinking that a different brand refill may be necessary. The bolt is grindy also moving between the pen and glass breaker. $26 is the most I've spent for a single pen to write with. I've had much cheaper pens write better, but having the glass breaker is nice whether I use it or not. I bought the pen to carry daily after breaking the plastic ferrule on several Zebra 301 that I usually carried in my bib overalls after leaning against car fenders or fence rails.

Yeah it's not a space pen it won't always write immidiately, but I think it's a good pen overall and you can get different refills.

@@BBoyDoma The pen does write immediately, but after several lines of text it starts to thin out and skip. I find myself turning the barrel to keep ink flowing. If I leave the pen to rest the ink thickens up for a bit, but soon reverts to a thin skipping line. I bought three pens from Amazon before Christmas, The Nightcore NTP31, Blackfly Creations EDC, and Hunt-D WN EMS. I like the size and un-tactical look of the Nightcore pen. The Hunt-D WN EMS and Blackfly Creations are both cap off pens that look very tactical, and are very stout with their glass breakers available with the pen covered. These last two pens will belong in vehicles as security tools. By the way what refills fit this Nightcore pen? I will be much more apt to carry the NTP31 when I know it will succeed with my writing demand.

I don't have an issue with my ntp31, I'm able to write on a full page a4 size paper continuously without the ink thinning out. So I'm guessing a new ink refill might be able to fix your problem but I'm not too sure.

Which side are you supposed to strike with?

With the side with the glass breaker but you can also strike with the other side.
