- Looking for the ultimate #tactical pen? Don't fall for cheap 9-in1 'tactical' pens that try to do everything but end up doing nothing at all.
A REAL tactical pen does 3 key things and do them extremely well. I reveal what these 3 things are and compare the different Nitecore tactical #pens like the NTP20, NTP21, NTP30 and #NTP31.
If you or your group has been looking for a solid pen, this is the best time to order one.

My EDC pen just died on me .. so I'm looking for a new one.. glad I just found this ! After cutting my fingers breaking glass to pull out an AED yesterday something like this will definitely be useful
Amazing video, criminally underrated, more please!
I have NTP30 but the ink i use fisher space pen refill, the perfect combination.
NTP21, safe to carry here in Malaysia.
No need for flip knives, long batons or something to defend yourself against street thugs or road bullies. A single or double jabs onto the sensitive part of the body (not eyes, please!) is just enough to stop an attacker due to the fairly excruciating pain inflicted.
Carry one in a pocket and trained often how to efficiently used it during an emergency.
Why not the eyes? I’m all about removing eyes when I’m under attack or defending a person under attack!!
@@WeJamWorld yeah, I hope I can do it also but I'm not willing to spend some years in jail for causing grevious injury.
@@SaifulIkram I see 👀 - thanks for the reply - take it eZ 😃
Very good. Be safe buddu
Buddy
Smith and Wesson makes a great pen with a hard blunt cap over the writing part and a hard pointed end for glass breaking and defense.
another great review video...you are just the best reviewer
Always was curious what tactical pens do thnx for the video
I used mine to write an insulting letter.
So tactical!
Correction sir... you used it to write a "tactically insulting letter"
@@gtempo4673 I enjoyed the feel of the pen so you might say it was a tactily insulting letter.
I used mine to write a random letter for a kidnapped halo 3 game
I have the CRKT Williams Tactical Pen and Williams Tactical Pen 2. I also have the CRKT Tao 2. I also have a couple of Bokers. A Recoil Commando and another one whose name I can't recall right now.
Can i use the parker jotter refill in it? or do you have a model that supports that refill?
Nice. Also seen you have a pencil that matches a pen. Been wanting a pen and pencil set that was tactical.
quick question... does pilot gel refil fit for this pen?
I have the NTP31, it's alright but gel isn't a good choice for ink in my opinion. I need to write in all conditions, the gel ink is useless in the wet. Really need space pen refills, or ballpoint at least. A minor point but should come ready to use.
Have you replaced the ink? If so which one?. I don't care for gel ink
@@Vahan210 Can't really beat Fisher Space Pen refills for everyday operational work use IMHO.
If i am not mistaken the refill is parker style g2? There's a variety of choices like easyflow 900 etc
Hi, is the Fisher Spaceman PR4 Medium Pressurized refill compatible with this pen?
It would be cooler if it has a pressurised ink cartridge, like the fisher space pen
can i use parker style G2 refill ? thanks
when i was a kid (it was wrong of me to do) i stabbed a bully twice with a pencil, worked quite well..
Wick! It was Wick!
Ahhh Mr Wick
I would like to see the glass breaker test on ntp31. Cant find it anywhere on youtube. Nobody test and record the video? Please share if you found one. Thanks!
Great review, I just ordered one 😁👍
A scratcher. Great video. thanks good sir.
The ntp30 is full titanium?
Is the NTP31 allowed as carry in luggage for domestic/international flights? If not, will it be okay for checked-in baggage? Basically I wanted to know if this is TSA friendly.
I really liked the pen (NTP31) when I started to write with it, but after a few lines of writing the ink thins out and isn't as smooth a writer as I'd first assumed. I'm not happy about "re-writing", or waiting for the ink to catch up to get the previous line density, if I can get it to work correctly. I'm thinking that a different brand refill may be necessary. The bolt is grindy also moving between the pen and glass breaker. $26 is the most I've spent for a single pen to write with. I've had much cheaper pens write better, but having the glass breaker is nice whether I use it or not. I bought the pen to carry daily after breaking the plastic ferrule on several Zebra 301 that I usually carried in my bib overalls after leaning against car fenders or fence rails.
is pilot g2 refill compatible?
Not the same, has to be Parker style refill
@@NitecoreSG thanks 😁
Fisher refills with a converter should work. A G2 refill is too long.
What is a Fisher refill converter?
Very well reviewed sir!
I think we all agree that the most important part is that you can fidget with it!
Great writing experience with ntp31, it's was so smooth.. but your writing will smear a bit if you paper get wet, i'm not kinda like it.. been using faber castel true gel pen for so long for not worrying the writing will get ugly if water spills on writing accidentally, so this matter is giving me a thought of "stop using ntp31, it will smear".. so, any suggestions to replace refill that meet my requirement? Thanks in advance if you replying this..
The only design flaw of this pen were the paint on tungsten holder easily peeled off due to a lot of friction with the inner spring, and also the pen tip is too light, prefer a heavier one, helps with writing. Lastly less grippy knurling
You can try the titanium ones, weightier and doesn’t have the issues you mentioned for the aluminum version
The gelion+ is not compatible..
If it had a hole to put on a chain or keychain, I'd buy it.
Where can I buy this pen? I can't find it anywhere? Thanks
Between NTP21 and NTP31, which one is the best?
Will that be legal on all airports? Like here in Australia, they are stricter
John wick is pleased
emergency need reply, does the NTP31 have a plastic tip? or is ist also made up of aluminum? I purchased a pen with aluminum body but plastic tip?
Aluminum tip
Does the NTP31 (black variant) contain nickel? I noticed it’s being marketed as ‘aerospace aluminium alloy’ but was just wondering whether nickel is present in the pen as I’m allergic to it
It’s most likely 6061 or 7075 series so I’d just check those two alloys for nickel. Worst case you case you could probably return it on medical grounds
Can you bring the ntp21/20 on board of a plane? As it looks more 'menacing'
So you attack people with the glass breaker bit, right?
Nope, the opposite
Is it true the Pen is mightier than the Sword?
Huh?
Someone once told me, if you try to be the master of all, you become the master of none. Maybe I’m saying it wrong, but you get what I mean.
