I'd like to point out that the kamehameha was perfect, it had no energy being wasted on the sides like when anyone else does it, instead all that excess energy that goku or krillin ould have wasted went into the beam. goku may know the technique, but roshi MADE it, and MASTERED it.

The only real benefit I can see in an unmastered Kamehameha vs a mastered Kamehameha is that the excess energy on the sides can be used to take out numerous enemies with 1 beam easier, but normally, a Kamehameha is used on a single target so it’s not gonna be useful in most cases.

There’s this Chinese saying 一日為師 終身為父, which means “teacher for one day, father for life”. It’s used in the original epic of Journey to the West by the original monkey king character to describe his relationship with his master as well. The relationship troupe of mentor as father figure is used a lot in Hong Kong Kung fu cinema (which is one of the main sources of inspiration for the Dragon Ball franchise). The moral being taught is that the people who teach you things in life are invaluable, so respect them as if they are those who gave birth to you, because for all intents and purposes, the skills and wisdom that make you who you are were passed on to you from those who taught you well. I am glad they featured some of this with the Turtle School characters and with Piccolo and Gohan.

What I love about Roshi's Kamehameha is how crisp it is. Goku's et al are usually always rough, with beams branching off or energy sparking off it. This, this was just pure, focused energy. Maybe not the most powerful Kamehameha of all time, but definitely the most refined.

When you truly look at Roshi's Kamehameha, you can easily tell why he said it took over 50 years to master this one technique. A stance so steady with no true weak points exposed even while still charging energy, pure focus on the target and nothing else, no excess energy wasted with the technique done properly, and the wave itself/beam itself having nothing excess wasted or shoot off. Just one single beam of ki energy focused on a single target and hitting with truly destructive power. It truly feels like the perfect technique for the Turtle school Roshi teaches and has mastered, and when done with true mastery, it's a beautiful sight to see it be used and also hit its target without any waste of energy, diminishing energy or so on.

Turtle style is the proper name for their martial art they don't just rush into power they aim for it at a steady pace and master both offense and defense even their signature technique combines offense and defense its true that it leaves them exposed when building power but you noticed that the stance doesn't leave any vulnerable parts particularly exposed like the stomach or gut and the stance is balanced

Been seeing a lot of comments on this video. I actually think this is the most comments I've ever had on any one video lol. But anyways, I was looking at my notifications and saw the most recent was yet another comment for this video so I decided to watch it again and yep, still gives me chills. I also have to agree that this is probably the most clean Kamehameha in the entire series. I also believe it to be the most powerful. We know that the Kamehameha has the power to destroy planets, they've said so more than once. So look at the end of the beam on this particular Kamehameha vs the ends of the beams on others performed in the series. They always tend to be a tiny bit sporadic and literally overflowing with ki. With this one it was completely concentrated. So combining the concentration of ki put into this Kamehameha along with the sheer force, speed momentum it had (We all saw it, that thing went STRAIGHT THROUGH Ganos like he wasn't even there), I feel confident that if Master Roshi had kept that blast going, he could easily have destroyed several far away planets with that one blast. Well if there were planets there in the first place. I know there weren't, but if there were and he decided to target them? They'd be gone. The only other Kamehameha that I hold in as much high regards as this one is when Goku did his instant transmission Kamehameha against Perfect Cell in the tournament and blasted him in half. Personally because I wasn't expecting Goku to do that and I think it's one of the coolest things ever lol.
