  • In this video I share the incredible progress being made by Dodge dealerships who are choosing to do the right thing and make real changes in how they treat their customers. While it has been a tough road and things aren't great yet, it's good to know that a group of youtubers can help make some real change and that the Dodge dealers are paying attention.

I've been silent the last couple weeks because I've been working in the background fixing stuff. But I'll have some stuff to say about a couple dealers next week...

As more dealers face repercussions, the others will take notice and straighten up. Just keep knockin em down and eventually we will be back to just the normal shenanigans. It would be nice to get meaningful reform, but I won't hold my breath.

You don't need forgiveness for wearing a suit. More people need to wear suits. That's how I grew up. A friend and I just had this conversation about how America is looking nowadays. You will always look better and more professional wearing a suit.

I would love a Durango RT or Ram Big Horn! But…I have run insurance quotes on so many vehicles I am interested and the only one that barely moves the needle is the either the new Tundra or a second gen Tundra. Every other car? Anywhere between $130-200 per month extra. Examples? Camry-$500 monthly, Mazda CX90-$500 monthly, Ram 1500- $450 monthly, Titan-$440, Acadia $400,
Have 1 small accident claim (I replaced the the damaged parts myself, the other party was 20% responsible) and no tickets. Wild.
Paying $299 monthly on our 4Runner and the Tundra would add $50 monthly for the new one or reduce it $40 for the V8 second gen
    All with Allstate
Considering switching but not sure if will make a difference.
Edit- I forgot to mention that the Lexus GX 460 is an extra $39 which really surprises me for a luxury car.

The last call vehicles are not selling. There are tons of last call scat packs on dealer lots. Last call Hellcats aren’t hard to find.

    • @LeadfootLou

@@charlesstepinski9327- Don’t know for sure. My guess would be that people don’t want to pay in the mid $60’s for a Scat Pack.

Where we want it to end is dealers who did this need to lose their franchises; and the manufacturers put in a prohibition on selling vehicles over MSRP in the future. It's laughable that people believe that the dealership owner didn't know exactly what was going on with markups and with selling cars out from under people...

If you think they're bad right now - just wait.
LAST CALL was their ultimate extortion chance. Now, they're gonna do the same with the top end EV models.

I see the undoing these deals, but I feel like many of these deals were done with the intent of dishonesty. The punishment is just returning the money, selling at MSRP, which they should have been doing in the first place. It seems like this is all low risk, high reward. If I had the choice to rob a bank, and the only punishment getting caught is just to return the money I stole, without losing my job or much of my reputation, I'd think the risk would be worth it. That's how I see what all these dealers have done. I'd say a more fitting punishment is that they need to sell the car at invoice or show some sort of loss to teach an actual lesson. Selling it at MSRP, where they still make money, is just reverting to how they should have done business in the first place. This seems like less than a slap on the wrist.

What dealerships are doing is criminal. But i dont feel the least bit sorry for willing people paying these absurd market ups and interest rates for impractical cars. I love my 1320 shredded 2 sets of (rear tires) by just driving in drag mode and im only at 5300 miles. I feel more to the people who have lost it all like we have, and they still NEED a car. So they go to places where bad credit takes you and they just get ravaged to buy a 2012 nissan altima. Sadly, they have no choice but to take it.

    • @ocmotivator

I get it and that’s most people’s feelings. TBH mine as well. But if we don’t acknowledge the good and only the bad then they’ll stop even trying to do good at all. I’m hoping to show them that we aren’t just focused on the bad but will take the time to call out the good when and if they choose the right path. For me it’s about having the leverage to extract as much good behavior as we can for as many people as we can do it for. So for that reason, we must shine light on the good along with the bad. It’s not easy though based on all the bad so I get it.
