The “we screwed you before, let’s screw you over again” sales event!
Lol
😂
😂
What is sad is that it works.
Most of the Dodge customers have a poor credit score, so they were paying higher rates 2-3 years ago. lol
Best car deals I ever made where when I didn't even care if I got the car or not. Any time your emotions get involved and you really want something...... you make bad decisions
That’s how I got married
@@RLogan-sl7xl 😅🤣😆
They always need to sell the car much more than you want to buy it.
@@bobverick nice im stealing that one. Perfect way to look at it
@@jetliorigami my friend was a very successful car salesman and he taught it to me.
My local CDJR dealer is trying to sell a Demon 170 with a 120k markup and no one is biting. They put up a video on their Facebook account advertising it and are getting flamed in the comments. They also have a 2022 Challenger Hellcat Redeye with a 5k markup that has been on their lot for 440 days now. There are also 3 2023 Ram TRXs at MSRP and a Hellcat Durango for sale but no one is buying them.
Good!
The people are getting smarter i see. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Security dodge in NY?
@@captindan5460No, it’s Joe Cecconi’s Chrysler Complex in Niagara Falls, NY.
My local dealers, two of them that I deal with, have the same 30 challengers and chargers that Had for the last year.
Upside down sale lol
Just roll your old balance into the new one with 10-15% rate
lol, I had a dealership try to do this with my scat pack when I was looking at a TRX. They valued my car at $10,000 less than what I still owe on it and said they could just add it on to the TRX loan. Looking at the numbers, it would’ve added about $200 to my monthly payment. I said no way, that does not make any sense at all. I’ll keep sitting on my ScatPack until I can get more out of it than what I owe. Don’t go making stupid decisions just because they tell you how good of a deal the new car is.
Vehicles that have been sitting for a year and longer will have problems. The tires will likely have flat spots.
IVE LEARNED THAT DODGE CUSTOMERS SERVICE IS THE WORST IN THE WORLD
They don't even answer the phone.
Stellantis just fired hundreds of engineers. What makes it worse looking for cheap labor other countries.
IM DONE WITH DODGE DLRS. AND MANUFACTERS AFTER 32plus of them !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If people are dumb enough to buy an expensive toy they can't afford, they probably aren't smart enough to realize they are being screwed again.
My rule of thumb has always been min 20% down. If you can't do that, then you either keep saving, or set your sights lower.
My rule is 100% down lol, I had very little for a very long time but now at 40 years old own my home outright, a fiesta st and camaro ss...
Agreed and though my last 3 have been used I paid cash, titles from 4 vehicles now on my desk.
To me, a car is an investment. Who won the right mind would invest in something that immediately loses value and every year continues to lose value? If you bought a new house for $500,000, you would be pretty mad if it was only worth $475,000 the next year and then $450,000 a year after that. Why should a car be any different?
Why not buy a classic vehicle. You can get your hands on a decent 1970 Dodge Challenger for about $30,000. And guess what. The next year is going to be worth the same amount if not more
And I guarantee you it will get way more attention on the road then a brand new scat pack
Dealers hate me because I walk in and pay cash or walk out. You can do that too with patience and understand how to live within your means. Last car loan 1992. Your car should not cost more than 20 percent of your yearly gross income.
As you continue to own your cars (title in hand), you will continue to increase your worth. Take the cash you would have used for a payment and put in a retirement account. Eventually you won't remember what having a car loan is like or these games that dealerships play on a loan because you are paying cash. The dealers will hate you, but if they are truly interested in selling you that car. They will make the deal for cash. Or walk away.
@@streetratgaragean investment isn’t just resale .. if the car can make you money via car rental , chauffeur, RUclips , marketing etc . Then it’s still an investment
A car is never worth the financial burden.
Well said and very true especially if it's a new car
@@arthurhudgens8213 unless you are getting killer deal, I won’t ever buy new again lol.
My 15 Challenger hc has 120k and has had very few issues. Zero that I would say are quality issues. An amazing car.
I am on my 3rd RAM...never had an issue....
lol fool
Thank you OC Motivator. Love the content
Had an opportunity to buy a new 2023 Scat Pack B5 blue reduced to $39,895 sale price and was absolutely loaded, but it sold quick. I wouldn't move on it because KBB said my 2015 Scat is worth $23,750 with 18,600 miles on it. It's always been garage kept and in nice shape, and paid off. Part of that price required a 2019 or newer vehicle.trade in. The trade in price and high interest rate stopped me from doing it. M&L CDJR in Lexington NC had it. When they ask me what I want my payments to be and how much I can put down, I always say $150 per month and $100 down.; that usually shuts them up. About 30 years ago I was trying to buy a new 1991 Mustang 5.0 leftover, I walked into the "tower"area where the managers sit, and behind a wall was a giant banner that said ASK FOR MONEY DOWN. I was not supposed to be there. I have never forgotten that.
FFFUCK DEALERS SCREWED ME IN 2000 S
you did it to your self
Grinding near the drive shaft - have you checked the heat shields? Door panel, easy fix. Easier than dealing with leaving at the shop. The robot probably ran out of glue... I changed my cloth panels out and installed leather ones. You don't need a new entire door.
Hello. I have a dealership with a demon for 250,000. No wayyyyy
What... the... Crime?!
Those better be Zimbabwe dollars.
I've got a '16 RT Plus that has the same problem with the door lining peeling up. If you end up getting someone to fix that, could you please recommend their shop? I'm in SoCal also.
Pelos's and Gavins San Fran zombies are heading you way brother. Stay safe and thanks for your hard work. Thanks again
It's not just Dodge, I have a 22 Bronco and the build quality is junk.
This is prime time advice and useful knowledge. Thanks OCM for all you do.
I wouldn’t own a bright green car, but darn it looks great with those wheels. Can’t stop looking.
Thanks for helping people out with some basic, but problematic math.
@@RDA8191 it’s a throwback…how old are you?
Thanks for the content.
Bro that for handle can be adjusted so easily with an Allen key there is an oblong slot next to the latch on the door you need to loosen that an adjust it till it works properly don't forget to tighten it back up
OC, love your content, just discovered this channel a few months ago. Car dealers always have a reputation for being shady, it's crazy hearing about these stories : outrageous mark ups, selling spoken for vehicles... wtf. I bought a 2022 scat pack charger in the summer of 2022, I optioned it and priced it out dodge website , took the print out to my local CJDR dealer and they ordered it for me at that price, no markups. Overall it was an awesome dealer experience although I don't have experience buying a car from a dealer, much less a brand new car.
Thanks for the advice OC!
Stop doing zero down deals smh. I dropped $18k down from my totalled rt insurance payout into my daytona, so I only financed $25k. Car is still worth in the high 30s and my payments are only $400/m. I am RIGHT SIDE UP if I need to get from under it or trade it in
thank you.... greatly appreciate your spirit!
More OC motivation!! Keep up the good work!!
Thanks for the insight
I have a 22. On the door handle thing, mine does it, too. I've found if I use the button to lock and unlock it, it will usually work the next try. Sometimes, the lock button actually opens the door....
Awesome video bro 😎 nice detailed information, yeah never want to roll in a upside car into a new loan, your payments will be crazy high. Great video God Bless
I appreciate the dealer info. I don't need a new car but now that all of the BS is happening and markups should be gone I'm looking. A year ago I would look at a car at the dealer and a week later it would be sold. Then there was the $40K over MSRP and I'm glad I didn't fall for it. So this info is very helpful.
You hit the nail on the head: FOMO. Unfortunately, society falls into that trap repeatedly, no matter the *thing* that is focused on. Glad you're putting out content like this. If it helps even one person, it is worth it.
The grinding noise is the differential. was a recall a few years ago. They changed the fluid but it comes back.
Great advice! Keep it up!
Brad, I also have 2023 Challenger Swinger (F8 Green ) and noticed the same thing on passenger side door after seeing your original video on the problem (Thanks). Took it to a dealer in Los Angeles and he ordered me a new door and installed it under warranty back in January. It took him about three weeks . No problem. Hope your dealer is being honest about the back order delay. Puente Hills Dodge. Talk to Buster.
Great video on exactly where it's headed and just do what you got to do but as I told you yesterday I am buying the six pack modifying the crap out of it I hope to get to close to 6:50 to 700 horsepower and a 2025 or 26 Shelby mustang which are coming out I don't it'll be showing off April 17th at the mustang show
wow the quality of these cars are "bad" i mean "bad"
I’ve been noticing gradual price drops. I notice the Hellcat prices are similar in comparison to scat pack. I also noticed SRT8 values are sweet. And You’ve been accurate in your suggestions. Thank You!!
I just got a 23 charger and my back up camera is super dark, can’t see a thing. Is that normal? I had cheaper vats with better quality cameras
I don't care what them negative people say bro, keep on doing you because it's content that's very informative. Thanks for all you do brobro real talk💯💪🏾🏁🤙🏾
Thank you for this content
The used market here in Canada is insane. Challengers sitting (overpriced by $10,000 plus) for months (and even years)….and dealerships won’t budge on price. The stupidity is ridiculous.
In the USA they won’t budge either and they’re getting repoed every day
@@richardball7251 it’s completely nuts. It will all normalize at some point….or they’ll all get repoed or stolen 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
This is the best time to turn our backs on every single dealer out there.
@Brad - Our 2022 Jeep GC WK2 and 2022 Dodge Durango GT Plus taught me how to be a better mechanic. In both the oil filter housing failed at under 10K miles, replaced with Dorman Aluminum units. I had to install CAIs on both due to the EGR killing the engine under low load. I also had to install oil catch cans on both because the PCV system is garbage on the Pentastar PUG. The dealers consistently refused to help me with my issues. Our vehicles where put together in January of 2022, and the assembly quality leaves a lot to be desired. I feel for you when you say you're having issues with your Last Call Challenger, I really do. Beautiful vehicle though, I hope you enjoy it, and thank you for your videos.
❤ Marc from NC
Beautiful Car,2020 gold rush scat no problems so far ?
When opening the locked car door, just put your hand/fingers under the handle without touching. The lock will open and you can then grab the handle and open. When you walk up to the door and grab it without waiting that half a second for it to unlock its not gonna perform as designed
Great video and thanks again
What’s the max mileage you would suggest buying a used challenger? There’s a 16 rt plus for 20k with 110,000 miles localy
Look to see how much the model was brand new. It's also over mileage which should lower the cost for you. A good deal won't have more than 82k miles.
8 years old, over 100k miles, should be 15k or lower.
Just lemon lawed and 23 Daytona charger and while considering a widebody , nervous about getting another as like you said build quality doesn’t seem there. Interiors are poor. Door jams and trunk didn’t align. Crazy for what they charge.
Wat when and why can you provide that information plz I have one
Go to Katzkin and get the door panels done in the lime green. It's a nice vinyl texture and they do a killer job. I have a 2019 B5 R/T.
They matched the door panels just about perfect. Your car is beautiful, btw.
Great advice. I constantly tell the kids I work with not to ever get upside down in a car. Don't over buy, and put enough down that you owe less than the trade in value of that same car. If you find yourself upside down, it's time to put some extra cash towards the principle. Get a second job if necessary, but you don't ever want to owe more than the assets are worth.
That grinding noise you’re experiencing might be the MDS. I have this issue on my ‘22 RT. It only happens when it goes into 4 cylinder mode. I have to either drive it in Sport mode or manual mode to “disable” the MDS to not hear the grinding noise. The dealership says it’s normal behavior even though it sounds like the car is breaking…
OCM's Swinger has a manual transmission which means it does not have MDS which is only on the automatics.
You’re correct. My bad, I failed to realize it was a manual. Good catch.
I'm not going to be in the market anytime soon. But I'm an automotive nerd, and like to know what's going on in the industry. Thanks for doing the work and putting the information out.
I see your glass isn't going up when you close the door. My car started doing the same today, the window leaves a small crack unless I'm inside the car and raise the window all the way up
Reminds me of 2008 Housing market but it's the CARS this time around. My local dealer shook her head about upside down 10k to 20k customers. No sale
Love your content makes.my day
Great advice!
Great video Brad happy days also you gotta to give us another 170 demon video
I had a brand new 2008 Mustang, 2 yrs into it the door panels started to unglued. Was ridiculous. My 2017 SRT392 doors are fine so far.
That "Grinding noise" is a bad driveshaft assembly. The midshaft bearings make noise and when the assembly is removed from the veh. the center bearings come right apart.--Junk.
I have replaced 6 or 8 if them in the last year or so and so far none of them have come back.
It’s just going to be more idiots, buying cars they can’t afford that will get trashed and repossessed. Those are going to be the people buying with the dealer rebates and long term loans. 🤪
Great advice.
DON'T LET THEM WORK A 4 SQUARE ON YOU PERIOD!
Work only on Real Numbers, then once you are happy with the Numbers, use a Payment calculator on your phone so you know at least Close to where you'll be.
If you can't Wait and want a New Upgraded car, you HAVE TO DECIDE TO KEEP IT 3 TO 5 YEARS!!!!! Then You will have Equity for a Down Payment, when you're ready next time.
My ‘22 WBSP was $67,5 MSRP before destination, 4.94% APR with an 810 FICO - Down payment was sales tax + $2K down. Balance is now $52K showing $45K trade-in on KBB, with only 9K miles! The prospect of getting a $92K Hellcat for $75K at an 8% APR is still not a sustainable proposition whatsoever.
After getting my driver side door handled replaced TWICE for attempted theft & theft, it no longer felt the same for the first few times of opening it. after a week it seems normal now
Ignore the haters Brad. Your videos are great, informative, and inspiring to many.
I don’t typically roll negative equity into a trade, but I did this last purchase and I’ll explain why.
I had a Toyota tundra limited TRD offroad. Fantastic truck. However, from an auto enthusiasts viewpoint such as myself, it was incredibly boring lol. I owned it for 16 months, and I decided I wanted to get back into a Jeep. Would be my 11th Jeep. I found my absolute dream spec Jeep, used, mojito green, rubicon, soft top, mint condition. And it was actually a great price for a fully loaded rubicon.
I had a few grand in negative equity in my truck. HOWEVER, when I bought that truck it was right when interest rates skyrocketed. Even with a 800 credit, and several grand down, my APR was nearly 10%! Well, to make an already long explanation shorter, my Jeep I got at a shorter term and at 8%. So in my case I looked at it as refinancing the tundra for a better rate. I understand it added to the price of the Jeep, but from all my research that Jeep was far below a current retail value anyway. It sat on their lot for 220 days, so they kept marking it down. I definitely wouldn’t have rolled negative into the trade had the interest been higher or even the same, but in the conditions I got it for, I felt satisfied with the deal
That is a very scary story. Sorry for your loss .
The more I hear about these cars the more I think about buying something else. The markup is ridiculous. There are apparently quality issues and thanks for bringing that up. Maybe I should go back to thinking about a corvette or Cadillac
Regarding rolling in negative equity, someone over on Reddit just posted an actual screenshot of a customer's payment info and what they financed on a 2024 Kia EV9. Car was priced at $75K, after they rolled in a ton of negative equity and bought warranty, etc. they financed $107,065 at 10.65% for 83 months. 😂🤣😂
You do the math.
Jeezus, they use any grease when they got shafted?
Holy smokes! That’s a house, albeit in Detroit right down the street from Dodge. Actually, a mortgage would come with a better rate! 😂😂
What board is this? Sounds like the gift that just keeps giving
Some seriously important info for young buyers. They don't teach these things in school, at least not to this extent.
Hi OC , how much did you pay for this swinger ?

I just lowballed my local cdjr down the street from me for a 2023 charger rt Daytona that’s f8 green. It’s priced at 43k and it’s been sitting for 306 days… I told them take the price down by 10k and I’d pick up the car once they do so
Hey
I think dodge ran out of glue on your door panel too😮😂🤣! Please contact dealer and make them fix all those problems under warranty! You paid msrp- they need to fix it for you!
I bought 2021 xc60 and I’m not upside down because I traded 18 Benz in & I got 2% financing …… so I’m hold onto it for a while now until this is over. I usually don’t keep anything past 3-4 yrs, but this may be the exception 😢.
Dude your scatpack is beautiful
Question you recommend buying a used dodge charger from a dodge dealership
Buying a used Mopar is a good way to buy a new differential 💀🤣
@@spacebagels_5217 you right ive seen what people do to those cars ima just wait and buy a new one
How does anyone pay thousands of dollars for a stellantis product, rolling junk!
Negative equity deals with the dealers are like gambling in Vegas, "the House ALWAYS wins". Ask me how I know? Pay down the car in full and start stockpiling cash so you can put a boatload down to make the payments much more reasonable and you do not end up upside down ever again. 😁
OMG you speak common sense. Careful the dealers will say STFU to your comment. You’re taking away money from their nicotine habit.
That is called a “Door Card” That probably happened because They were trying to make the vehicles faster and they turned up the speed of the Assembly Line.
I sold my Son my 2014 STI. His Wife bought a 2023 WRX. The 2023 WRX is half the quality of my old 2014 STI. The 2023 is cheap and tinny.
Look a friend I know is a salesman at a Jeep dealership and told me do not do anything till much later in the year.
He said first rates may change by then .
Then he said you can order a 2025 by then making these 24s and 23s even older forcing more discounts .
He said IM NOT GOING TO SELL YOU A CAR NOW .
I'm in Toronto Canada and he said I can only offer you a 5k dealership discount and Stellantis isn't giving us nothing on a Rubicon X.
He said they are way overpriced so wait.
Ya dealerships. are in control but Stellantis is more greedy .
My lease is up in a few months, I have great equity but if they go 0% for 60 for a 23’ scats, under msrp, I’m going for it.
Real Talk here...love it
The door panel material coming off, use a syringe to shoot the glue in the door panel without taking it off. Go through the thread holes.
Thank you for the advice and information about CDJR dealership. I know that I appreciate the help you provide to all of us when you are not obligated to do so. Keep doing you! I
I wish that all of the listeners take heed to what you are saying and NOT go out and buy these vehicles at those astronomical prices. “Power of the People” means that if we do not agree with your practices (CDJR and others), you can keep your cars, while we wait for you to price them fairly! Do fellas, stop simping to these dealerships. It’s a waiting game! I guarantee that if you can be patient, you won’t be taken advantage of by CDJR dealerships. The prices are coming down. They will be cheaper by September!
I know several people that bought cars recently paying 17+ percent on their used car loans. It's out of control.
A new Rubicon X with a few small options with tax is 100k in Toronto Canada.
Overpriced by 15k.
Did you know it costs Stellantis less than 30k to buiild one .
Yup
I bought a 23 hellcat jailbreak for 69k “narrow body” last week. Came from a 2020 scat pack. Long story short I told my wife,”this is an investment” I told her I’m selling for 110k lol. It’s not really up for sale 😂 but it is. 😅it was the only way I could buy it.
You must be watching David Stanley CDRJ in Oklahoma City ads.
In 2021 I could have had a fully loaded Scat Pack for $45k. Those days are long gone.
I was a bit peeved I got a 2022 scat pack, because I was told the 2023s were all spoken for. Maybe it all worked out
I miss your old videos back when it was about the cars back when you had the redeye. I haven't watched your channel like I use to. I just feel since its changed it became nothing but videos going on about dealerships practices and dodge's last call special editions and I know there's a reason for it i am not bashing or anything It's just not the content I want to get onto RUclips and watch since i am not going to buy a Dodge Product. I keep being a subscriber because of you as a person and not the content. I guess I just grew out of being a Mopar fan boy and realized it's not the brand I want to buy after all. I know you are helping people so it's just a balance out. I don't want my comment to come off wrong or seem like i am mad I'm not just being honest like you've always been honest to us! I appreciate being able to give feed back and ill be here as a subscriber because of your older videos.
Great vid! The manufacturers have all skimped on their materials and par for the course raised the prices, I’m not sure if it was Dodge or not but I heard one of them stopped using DuPont adhesives for a cheaper version
You are the man and just saved me again for the second time before I made my purchase of the Scatpack I want. I bought one in 2022 for a great price thanks to you but it wasn't exactly what I wanted. I wanted a manual shaker edition and now I just found one 2023 at the same dealership that I bought my 2022 at. I went today to see it (widebody like mine) and I also looked at an automatic narrow body shaker. MSRP 69K for either and they only will meet me at 72k. They are willing to take my trade in and pay it off clean at 41k. So means I'll be putting 5k down and financing 67k at 70mo to get close to my same current payments. What do you think? Desperate here please!
BTW I sent the sales guy this video tonight and asked him to share with his manager and see if we can make the deal I want, if not I walk. 😊
If it was me and I could afford it I would do the deal. You are still losing money but if it's the car and spec you wanted I would do it. I overpaid for a C7 Z 06 I wanted because of the specific spec's it has and I looked for months to find one and when I did I purchased it. I did it because I can afford it and not have to eat noodles every day..
Anyone that is successful in life is definitely worth listening to such as Brad.
Excellent content. A genuine public service announcement ,
I always have, & I am pretty sure will always love your videos.
Kepp doing what your doing!!!!
