I loved the Tudor-style secretary desk. The price was a bit on the steep side, but for someone that wanted a really nice one, it would be a good find. Those penguins were a great find. It was one of the ginormous ones...an SJ, (or something like that), dual cowl Phaeton, I think...and the radar clocked that thing at 133 MPH...on the old spoke wheels, no less! It had a V-12 in it. I'd love to have one of them, but I'd have to live in it😆 Wouldn't be able to afford anything else!

The large bronze disc is called a Death Penny and was given to the families of dead soldiers etc from World War One. I believe that they are always British military and should have the name of the dead combatant on it. I know that the one I own does as it is a family heirloom.

Oh no! That's terrible, I didn't realize she went thorugh all that. I hope she was able to rebuild

@@TheAntiqueNomad Yes, they rebuilt. They had built this house in Bay St. Louis MS as their retirement home and had only been in it for a month before Katrina hit. They lived in a 18' RV for over a year while trying to rebuild. It was a nightmare. Things can be replaced, the worst part was the loss of all the family photos. Their house was 19' off the ground, so no one thought a 30' wall of water would ever hit that location!

Very nice find with all those penguins! Also a side note, I had the little dog figurine that was in the cart. Mine had a foil sticker that said the maker was Peacock and made in Japan. It was neat to see it in your video!

Oh wow! It's nice to know who made it. I thought it was cute and knew it was 1950s Japan but I'd never seen a tag on one

Wow, you are a veritable wealth of knowledge! I have the angel sconce that lies on the table to the left of the "Zsa Zsa Gabor" lamp I picked up at a barn sale for $4. I am into Victorian, but the lamp was a bit ostentatious and prices were very high.

That's so kind! Yes about the sconce for $4, and yes, as much as I liked it, the lamp was too much

Next time if you have no cart , maybe gently empty one of the bigger bowls and place your items in it and then go get your cart. You can put bowl back in art or on shelf later! I was getting nervous that you could drop or damage while trying to hold all of them!!

That Waterford was a great find! It was good that you noticed the shark boo boo before buying it. Unfortunately I have made this mistake too many times! Hoping I can get rid of some of them at the Lawrenceburg show.

Me too I have a lot of slightly imperfect stuff to dump somewhere. I wish I could do the first Lawrenceburg but I'll get there eventually this season!
