I saw a video of her playing the HELL out of the electric guitar and it was BLAZING. I'm digging the fact that RM is exposing us to really interesting music that we might NEVER hear otherwise. This is so avante guard and artsy that I'm completely fascinated and completely confused at the same time. I love it. And props to our president for taking the kind of chances that he's taking artistically. He could do easily just drift in his lane forever, but he's really searching and reaching. I'm proud to be his fan!
Still have no idea what's happening in the video, but I'm so basic artistically that I rarely do. LOL
I used to work in an animation studio and SMOKE SPRITE is an effect used by animators to show a sudden burst or smoke. Just like a smoke coming out of a motor bike that just started its engine but went away or disappeared as soon as the engine was turned off again.
I'm guessing from the lyrics that So Yoon and RM wrote about a kind of love that is just temporary, or like a SMOKE SPRITE a sudden burst of passion that goes away as soon as you started it.

In my personal interpretation, Smoke Sprite is something quick and intense, that still lingers in the air. You know when you open a can or bottle of sprite and little droplets settle as dust in the air around it.
I feel it's definitely something intimate and sexual, that doesn't seem to last, yet you chase it again and yearn for more, but you will take what you get, even if it doesn't last.
That kinda makes sense since this is following her song “bad” which abstract in itself .. the visuals and the lyrics seem to be talking about hook up culture… carrying your sexual partners with you forever
I loved this collaboration... Without a doubt, Namjoon creates art, just like the artists with whom he collaborates.

Yes, I thought so. I also felt that it might be an 'answer' of sorts, to 'Closer.' The talk about bed, dreaming of someone, not needing to be committed, etc. just seemed linked. To me.

The art direction has elements of a movie from the '60s by an Italian director and writer. I believe it was Arabian Knights (English Title). The person in the corset who is shooting the arrow is the same person in black RECEIVING the arrow. Once the ARROW is received the remnants of the corset is seared/imprinted on her body. The snow represents the loss of her virginity. She is in a POOL of WATER surround by the possibility of producing life, hence the people surrounding her. Notice where the yellow circle is and and elements of a orifice throughout the video. Also, notice the arrows in RMs hand and the multiple arrows shooting as he closes his eyes. When he opens his eyes they both have "gone off site Smoke Sprite." Smoke Sprite means climax and letting go of all inhibitions. After FIRE/PASSIONS comes the SMOKE SPRITE. That's why the are going in a circle dressed in elements of smoke. The Smoke Sprite ascends the architectural stack in the video where hooded life forms are present. The end result of this is golden GLOW at the end.

I agree. I think it's like an attraction that is intense but isn't leading to anything like a relationship. Also, I I'm hearing "Stalk you in my dreams" , which makes me think of astral travel to influence the other person.

The way to pronounce Se So Neon is a bit confusing. In Hangul they spell it 세 소 년 which translates letter for letter to "Se So Nyeon," with the last word said as one syllable ('nyon'), not 'nye-ee-on.'
But in Roman letters, the band uses "Neon" instead. That would be spelled 넌 in the Korean alphabet, and pronounced "non." Either way, it is not 'nee-on.' You can use nyon or non and it would sound fine to a Korean. But never 'nee-on' or 'ny-on'.
A Korean language rule that will never be broken: When you see "eo" together it is always one syllable that sort of rhymes with 'shop'.
Like Jung Hos"eo"k, Kim S"eo"kjin, J"eo"n Jungkook. The "eo" is one syllable in all these words. It's the same every time, in all other words as well.

This is because the Roman alphabet uses 7 letters for all the vowel sounds. (A E I O U, sometimes W and Y). The Korean alphabet uses 21 letters for writing vowels. So we have to write the extras with combos of our own letters. Our letter "O" is used for both 'hope' and 'shop'. But the Korean alphabet has a different letter for each word: they spell 'hope' with ㅗ and 'shop' with ㅓ.
We use O for Korean words with ㅗ and EO for words spelled with ㅓ.

Possible explanation of the term relating to the song :Computer graphic that is put on a screen ,otherwise manipulated as a single entity. Other words it could mean that this person that she is singing about is unreal unable to decipher their intentions to her and not understanding clearly their intentions?!
Maybe they are manipulating her and some kind of way where this person is transparent you can read through this person and know that this person is untrustworthy!
So Yoon she might be singing about how this person in her life is like a smoke sprite dark and mysterious and unable to understand because they are not trustworthy or they are giving her smokescreen vibes. The sunburn in winter part, I grew up skiing and they always say to make sure to put on sunscreen when you are out on the mountain. The snow can actually be super super bright and can reflect the light and burn you. Lots of people have goggle tan lines lol
