I love this song so much. It took me back to the Prince and the Revolution days. The Revolution used to be heavy with the distortion. RM has introduced me to so many amazing artists. His collabs are the ones I look forward to most. You don't know what you're going to get sound-wise, but you know they are going to be top tier talent-wise.

Apparently Smoke Sprite is the point in cartoons and stuff when they sort of just go up in a puff of smoke. But yeah she is part of a rock band so she and Joon are friends. Love him doing this. They wrote it together. She just had the instrumental and he heard it and was like let’s do this.
Her vocal control and ability to control her breath reminds me of Bjork. SoYoon is just phenomenal, there's an interview with her on RUclips by Eric Nam that's really great and digs into her album, band, etc...

You'll have to watch the behind the scenes. So Yoon is really a cool person. She recently did an interview with Eric Nam, Dive Sudios. Eric is another Korean Artist who also does music. You are guys are going down the rabbit hole with Kpop in general. There are a lot of cool and talented artists. This is another great collab with RM. BTS are doing great things!

Smoke Sprite she said she got from American cartoons when they are in an explosion they poof out. They call them smoke sprites.
In the song she and RM only meet in their dreams. Each time he awakes she poofs out.
That’s why they sing back to back never facing each other. They have never met face to face in real life in the song. So they played off it.

Soyoon is an established musician now for a few years in S.Korea. Her brand of sound, imo, is considered rock neo-soul. I like Soyoon's work so much, I have a feeling MC would love it too. Soyoon is the front's person of her band project Se So Neon. There are a lot of cool songs under that project, like "The Wave", "A Long Dream", "Jayu", or "Joke!". Her solo work is also pretty cool, as is the case for this solo album of her (to which "Smoke Sprite" is the title track). In this album I suggest "Bad", "EXIT", "love (a secret visitor)", "Gave you all my love", etc.
