that baseline is the definition of dope. balming tiger never had a collab with any other artists before u know because they believe that thier music is not understood properly by others. but when rm sent his verse, they were surprised at how namjoon portrayed their music in his own style without overwhelming nor underwhelming their essence which is why this collab came into live. i'm so proud of Joon and happy for those underrated k-artists.

@@ajoohcmoohc they're fairly new as a group and half of the members are not appreciated enough even in their scene yet individually. and not just to kpop fans but also in the international market who enjoy k-alt/indie or even k-hiphop, maybe only 1 outta 10 can name one of their songs. so yes, I'd say they're pretty underrated.

The crew was also very popular when Byung Un was leading it and every song he released was super popular in the scene
There's a reason why he performed in Dingo quite a few times, and Dingo is the most mainstream platform for khiphop
They also got shout outs from 88rising and won best music video In khiphop awards with Armadillo
What they have done in their 4 years(approx) it's more than what most rappers in the scene could in the same amount of time, so I definitely wouldn't say they are underrated
They even had worlds tours even though they have just a few songs

I'm a big fan of Balming Tiger and seeing featuring with RM made me genuinely happy. I knew he would be a great match for this song and its vibe! Love this artistic side of him! And love to see more recognition to Balming Tiger 🐅
There were a ton of movie references there. you were right about the parasite one, there was also one from A Clockwork Orange , Sympathy for Mr vengeance, A snake of June. But yeah can't wait for Joon to collab with more rappers and other indie artists . ( personally I'm just hoping for songs with bibi and sogumm) . Also balming tiger album is in the works! just an exciting time overall.

I know there are a lot of people not in love with this song, but this is a hiphop song. This isn't some watered down basic sorry excuse for HipHop that people love these days. I love it and it def is true to what BTS started out as and the art itself. I really like the song and the collab and when RM came in I wanted to throw something at my screen. He was the icing on the cake.

This song has so many things in the music, beat, textures, but all is really seamless and not like punching you in the ear because it’s too ambitious. The bassline is dope! RM comes so ‘polished’ and ‘clean’ like a boss, if you know what i mean. And his lyric is a continuation of the previous singers, but able to blend in seamlessly when they talk about different things. Mudd part is sick tho. They are all good! Opened my ear with such a new fresh sound of music.

BJ WNJN IS SO SICKKKK, i had a chance to see them all live a couple months ago and he is an INSANE performer. they all are CRAZY charismatic they put on this whole character similar to how they act in this MV lmfao. but i met them after the show and they were completely diff and super nice. i was so excited for this collab cuz ive been a fan of namjoon for so many yrs, ive missed having namjoon on these type of songs. u should check out more of their stuff!!! esp a song like ‘just fun!’

Balming Tiger is amazing!! I saw them live in Amsterdam last May and their energy is one of a kind. they consist of singer/rapper bj wnjn (deep voice start of the song), rapper omega sapien (green hair), rapper mudd the student (bowl cut) and singer sogumm (female singer not in this song). Definitely check out more of them and their solo work. they mainly make rap and alternative K-pop but also a lot more cool and/or experimental stuff.

Even though I didn't know much about balming tiger just the idea of Mudd and RM on the same track sent me and it was great. They all blended so well and I love this side of rm. I know he said he's almost done his album so I am super excited. I hope it's a mix of his mono style but then with some more of this rawness and grittiness.
I like such eery edgy sounds, and am so glad RM collaborated. Not just did he slap us with that verse and had me wrecked, but now I discovered these artists who I appreciate for such a different style of music!

I really like the lyrics of this song. basically, the song is very bisexual and is about the fact that charisma/sexiness is not something that a person/artist can buy. it doesn't come from person's financial status or luxury items.

it fits perfectly for namjoon since he has more queer friendly writing. starting with his prod for bisexual lyricism in glam's party xoxo. namjoon has always liked working with artists who speak true to things he believes in!

@@rainbows5232 his writing is mostly queer friendly because when he studied more on gender and sexuality, he realized that the way he was writing his lyrics often left other people out because they were binary gender coding. thats why if you look at his newer music, he started to write in a way that refused to leave out other people and was constructed to be inclusive. but even before, namjoon wrote songs that expressed comfort in queer expression in writing, especially when he came from hip hop where is a gap regarding that sort of style or belief. especially in korea where people are just slowly getting comfortable with lgbtqia people and ideals. an example is his writing credit for glam's party xoxo where the rap he wrote was for a woman being attracted to a woman. or when he wrote and produced i know and sang it with jungkook where there is acknowledgement of someone who is bisexual, with just the way its constructed. namjoon has always been comfortable with approaching music to help others feel like they too have a place in music and society.
