    Hello Matt, When you use Transfer Tape on laser engravings, do you wash the wood in the sink afterwards? Or add varnish? Or nothing? When i´m washing the wood in the sink, I feel that much of the color disappears and the wood warps?
    And how do you handle the wood if you don't use Transfer Tape? (I make wood designs about 40x40cm in size, single layer)

    • @laserengravingwithmatt
      @laserengravingwithmatt  5 месяцев назад +2

      Oh no never put the wood in the sink. If I use transfer tape, I don’t need to wipe it down. I might have to sand an edge or two a little bit with a piece of sandpaper, but because of the transfer tape, it never has burn marks. Some projects I don’t do anything with it and I’ll leave it as is some I have to clearcoat and some I paint or varnish.

      @esattemiz4523 5 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks alot! :) Just a last thing, do u know if i can use Self-adhesive PVC foil instead of Transfer Tape? (otherwise I will order some transfer tape)

    • @laserengravingwithmatt
      @laserengravingwithmatt  5 месяцев назад +2

      NO never use PVC it will destroy your machine.

      Good evening!
      Thank you for taking the time to educate me!
      I’ve been using lasers and cnc router (4 lasers and a onefinity router)for a few years now, and we are currently looking into embroidery as we get closer to retirement. My question concerns software and what is best for SmartStitch machines. Do you have someone digitize for you or do you use a program that creates the proper file type?
      We purchased a old used baby lock to learn on(mistake) and are eager to take the next step.
      Regards,
      Barry

    Morning, Matt! You mentioned that the embroidery is now 1/2 the business. From a business standpoint, how did you market that new segment? The ramp up seems to have been pretty swift. How has that changed your turn around on the laser side customers?

They are seeing that machine working and I get more orders that way I have not put anything online whatsoever and it is steady busy. I told Sara we would need two more machines before we post anything online.
