I'm similar started with a vinyl cutter and decal business for our race car and shop, then bought a screen printing business out, then added a laser then a 2nd laser and now have a lot of customers asking about embroidery and really really wanting to add this machine
You must be working Smartstitch sales department big time.. every time I go to check they're sold out! I hope they ramp up production to meet the demand you're creating for these amazing machines!
I like the machine. The jacket hoop is to small is the only problem I can see with it. I'm a big guy and the back would swallow up the design. Need to get a 400x600 just for the guys around here. Watched all of your laser videos. What digitizing software do you use. Sold all but my fiber lasers.
Is this something you'll do bulk work, or one offs on? I bet it'd work great on them old white dish towels our grandma's use to sew designs in. Pretty cool how your business model and growth has gone over the years. Well done Matt
We make leatherette patch hats have been pressing them with a hat press ( it works well ) but think about embroidery machine due to my customers asking for it but was wondering can you laser cut a patch then stitch it to the hat using the machine?
I do a decent amount of leather patches where I cut the designs out instead of using the precut pre-stitched ones that several people purchase online. Does this embroidery machine have the capabilities to stitch the leatherette with adhesive, creating a stitch on appearance
OK I already have my co2 laser and business is growing slowly. Question is go for a EMP ST60J MOPA fiber which is half off right now for 4500 or go for an embroidery machine.... I'm definitely ramping up my business to business this year but trying to descode between the two
This is just my opinion with having an engraving business. I do 98% of my sales in person, so I always get questions about what I offer as a business. I ALWAYS get the question "do you do t-shirts?", "Do you do embroidery?" And "can you engrave Metal?". Ask yourself, what do your customers ask you for? At the same time, what interests you? If the idea of embroidery or screen printing does not interest you, but being able to engrave coins, leatherette at high speeds, or any metal marking really, go with what makes YOU happy. Also think about what your customers want. Me personally I bought a Nova 24 Thunderlaser and I started to branch out, so I got into sublimation and hated it. Gave away the printer and now I'm sticking with laser engraving for now. I just bought a 5w UV laser because a local winery wants to go through me to do all their glass. I would love to add embroidery next. No matter what you do, pick something that excites you so when you talk to people about it, they feel your passion about your craft. Good luck! No matter what you decide I know you will succeed!
If you can get a 60W JPT MOPA for $4,500. . . DO IT! That price won't be around long, I guarantee that. My 30W Raycus Fiber (non-MOPA) cost me $3,000. You can always add the embroidery machine later.
It makes sense to get the murder machine for me because I have a lot more business coming into my shop so they see it and then boom I get more sales that might be a little different for your situation
this looks amazing! I want to know if the mighty hoops are compatible for this machine? I looked on their page and it does list SmartStitch so I'm just making sure.
@@laserengravingwithmatt awesome!! I think you just sold me on this machine! I've been looking for a while! I'll wait for you to do a video using the mighty hoops if you will...then I'll use your link if you have one 😁👍
how much does one of those run? they are not available on amazon at the moment and I'm curious on upgrading the machines we have here as they still use floppy disks :)
I am still researching machines. This one looks good but it only has a 1 year warrant compared to 10 on the Happy and 7 on the SWF. I want a machone that will still be working in 5-10 years. Do you feel that the Smartstitch is reliable and would last that long?
Thanks for your pasitive video, can’t wait when my machine come it’s over week. Please make more videos, did you want to buying hoop stations ? Magnet hoops?
Wish I could find reviews that aren’t sponsored. There don’t seem to be any at all. It seems everyone was supplied the machine as an influencer. Hard to believe the reviews.
I’m doing things the other way round, I started with embroidery and now I’m moving to laser. Good luck with it it’s a very satisfying medium.
Thanks

Congrats 🎊🎉 you will love it. It has been worth it big time.

Hey Matt! thinking about pulling the trigger on a Smart Sticth 1501 today. Are you still happy with yours? Any additional advice?
Yup it’s been amazing and I ordered another one
Is this something you'll do bulk work, or one offs on? I bet it'd work great on them old white dish towels our grandma's use to sew designs in. Pretty cool how your business model and growth has gone over the years. Well done Matt
I do a lot of one offs and bulk. Thanks Rob

I will try it and let you know
What digitizing software are you using for yourself?
I just started the hatch 30 days free. I am trying every digitizing software if I can before I buy one.
great video. Thank you!
Thanks for the videos how do u make the design larger
Ask your digitizer
How many machines do you have? Thunder laser, epilog laser, fiber laser, embroiderer, uv laser, anything else?
I also have a lawn mower and snowblower 😉😄. I currently have thunder, P2,fiber, UV, Co2 gavlo and an embroidery machine.
Not about this. But your vevor heat press. How is it going? Was thinking of getting that brand.
You can watch the last video I did. It says it all 😃

I am actually trying that out for a costumer this week. I will make a video on it.
@@laserengravingwithmatt That would be awesome. Definitely please let us know.

They just informed me they’ll have more next week they run 6K for the 15 needle. 😃
Looking for the link to select to help you when I purchase my machine.

I think it will bee here still running in ten years
Hey Matt, what Maschine is it? Is this the S-1501? I think about to by me one
Yes. I have the link in the description
What if you buy art off a random creator? How do you make sure something is digitized?
You try it on something that can be tossed
Hey Matt what file format does this machine use and what software are you using to digitize your files that you do.
It uses DTS. I am trying a bunch of different software for 30 days until I find one I like.
@laserengravingwithmatt7833 when u find one u like are u going to do tutorials on how to use it?
I can
How many thread spools did it come with and what colors??
15 and I show them in the video 😃
In this one or the first one?
Good question I think both but should be in the first one for sure
What software do you use?
I got hatch
How do I center the pic on the center of the cap
The same way you frame your design on flats
What threads 🧵 did you use ?
I have been using the ones it came with still.
Thanks for your pasitive video, can’t wait when my machine come it’s over week. Please make more videos, did you want to buying hoop stations ? Magnet hoops?
I just found out about them. Kinda spendy so I don’t know yet. Haven’t needed them yet though
$5,699 for a 15 needle machine is a steal. Most multi-needle machines (Brother, Ricoma, etc.) average about $1,000 per needle.
I know it’s crazy. I did a ton of research on this company before I went with them. It’s been well worth it.
Also the machine listed only has one set of hoops, etc. Not 2 hat hoops.
Mine came with 2 hat hoops
Wish I could find reviews that aren’t sponsored. There don’t seem to be any at all. It seems everyone was supplied the machine as an influencer. Hard to believe the reviews.
😆 yeah I am way to small for that but I get a kick back. Nothing is free
Not an influencer and I have the s1501 it's amazing! I paid it off in 2 months
i keep having needle breaks and i watched the videos and i can’t get it right.. frustrated
@bradcastanon1163 did you get it fixed
Don't buy it, they don't sell parts on Amazon for this machine.
If you need parts you tell them I your group or on there web page
