Eerrry yet beautiful so many families spent their vacations friends reunions celebrating wedding proposals so much more .A wonderful send off Doug Ty enjoy your wkd .
Never sailed Ecstasy, but I've twice sailed her sister Elation. This is a very sad day to think that the same fate could soon be facing Elation. These are engineering marvels every single one that mark advancement of human progress, and seeing them discarded and scrapped is a shame. While I recognize that Carnival is a business and the removal of one ship brings about the arrival of another, and having just gotten off Mardi Gras appreciate the modern cruise ships, it doesn't make it any less sad to see a relic of the 90s go away. Thank you for your sevice Ecstasy and your advancement of the cruising industry.
Mornin' Doug. That's got to be a bit of an eerie experience, knowing what is next for the ship. One can almost hear the joy and laughter and fun and romance from all those past cruises echoing through the ship.
I woke up right around this time when they were spinning her around to back into Mobile. Was very nice meeting you the other day Doug, truly a memorable first cruise.
Sad to see her go, I was one of those 5,500,000 pax, when I was a kid in 1993. Glad to see they’re keeping the old Rolls Royce Phantom for the Celebration. End of an era for sure: only two of eight Fantasy-class ships remain. Ironically the new CEO of CCL was interviewed and noted some pax love the “older ships” but this is of course a function of size, not age. But the industry trend is to build bigger and bigger.
Good morning!! What a beautiful video. I got emotional when you said. “We all retire.” Thank you for giving us one last look of this beloved ship. Hope your next assignment is a good one.
What a beautiful way to start my morning by viewing this Carnival Ectasy walk-thru experience. I am a soon-to-be first-time cruiser, and it felt like I was already on a ship. Thank you for sharing.
This is very sad, we have sailed the Ecstasy many times and will miss this class of ship. We prefer the smaller class ships because of the intimacy that they had. Goodbye to the Ecstasy.
In 2017, on board NCL Sky, we sailed alongside Carnival Ecstacy from Nassau to Freeport, Bahamas, lit up at night. Sorry to see her go. Plenty of RUclips videos to remember the Ecstacy.
Hello Doug. What I'm having a problem with here is why can't they leave Ecstasy in Mobile until next year when Spirit sails into Mobile? Carnival and Mobile are losing 1 year of revenue.
Ecstasy's last drydock was October 2019. It would be too expensive to send her to drydock again to keep her for less than a year. Celebration and Luminosa also begin service in less than a month. Even with Ecstasy gone, Carnival will actually be up in passenger capacity compared to March 2020. The increase will be even larger once Jubilee begins service in late 2023. Carnival will need Ecstasy's crew for those ships.
HI: Cruise Radio. I'm going on my first cruise on the paradise on Oct. 22. I was wondering about buying beer on the ship, I figured different beers will be at a different cost. My question is, are the beers same cost at all bars. Another words if I buy a Miller lite will it be the same cost at all bars? Thanks
Doug - thanks for sharing! 😢 Do you know exactly what Ecstasy’s schedule is for getting to Miami, and how long she’ll be there? We are thinking about driving over from Clearwater, since we had to cancel our “goodbye” cruise on her in August due to a death in the family. Any help is greatly appreciated! 🙏
I think that scrapping the ship is nonsense right now. NYC was in negotiations with a cruise ship company... Why can't this be negotiated for their purposes??? I have never been on the Ecstasy but this is a sad day for cruising
This was probably the coolest video I've ever seen, Doug. The views of "empty" areas were eerily beautiful and heart rendering. ❤️ Goodbye Lady Ectasy

Godspeed Ecstasy. Lots of good memories of that ship.
To the Grand Old Lady, may you have fair winds and following seas. Thank You for the memories!

Definitely! I had a great time on this ship when I sailed on it years ago. Bittersweet to watch this.
I woke up right around this time when they were spinning her around to back into Mobile. Was very nice meeting you the other day Doug, truly a memorable first cruise.
Very nice meeting you as well. Thank you for all your support and kindness. Have a great weekend.

"We all retire." I hope when I retire, someone's there to capture my final moments at work like this!
Lovely, thank you🚢😊

Wow, I’m sure that was so emotional, thanks for the video Doug
Thank you. How thoughtful. Cheers

Thank you for the walk around. I have never been on that class of Carnival ship. I feel that I have missed a different kind of cruise experience.
Thank you, Doug, for this beautiful morning meditation. May I welcome the fact that death will come to me, too.
Great job Doug. I have never cruised on that ship but still sorry to see her go.
Keep up the good work.
Thank You Doug!!
Doug, Thanks for the final look at the Ecstasy. Sad, end of a Era
Nice job Doug. Classy as always.
Hey Doug that was an awesome video and the sunrise is really cool. Thanks for uploading this video.
Beautiful
I’m going to miss her. Had loads of fun on the ecstasy.
One of my first cruises. She will be missed.
Thanks Doug. That was awesome.
My first ever cruise. 😢❤
Good night from NYC thank you
Nice job Doug as usual. Thanks!
So beautiful and also sad.
Beautiful and sad she was my kids 1st cruise in her early day. I miss older ships
Me too
I wonder why @carnival can’t strike a deal with NYC to dock her in Staten Island since it is going away.
Thanks for sharing awesome video! Hope you got a chance to see ParoDeeJay on the ship.
So sorry to see this go
You were right on the point and I will miss your updates. Best of luck and keep safe.

Happy Saturday doug hope you have a great day 😊

RIP Carnival Ecstasy 😢😢😢
And now there is only 2 Fantasy class ships left 😢

Guess you took the last voyage. Morning Doug.
R.I.P the ship will be missed.

She arrives on the 18th and will be there two or three days. Depending on how long it takes to offload gaming equipment and proprietary equipment.
Fabulous! Thanks so much!
I wish Margueritaville at Sea would buy her 😢
Good morning Doug 😊

I sailed on her back in late 90’s out of Long Beach I think.
Probably so. There is a model of her in Long Beach at the cruise terminal.
GOOD stuff, Thx Doug
Enjoyed the walk around. Sad…
Crazy how long Carnival keeps their old ships in service. Just looking at the decks with the old wood looks so bad.
Not much different from Royal up until the shutdown when ships started getting sold off. Empress was 1990 and Majesty 1992.
I think Doug was shooting this from the Lifeboat…
Shhhhhhh.......
😮💨😪 Goodbye old girl.
Wow
Woooo
RIP Ecstasy
A shame Ecstasy isn't going to be used by New York for the people who need housing. Could prolong her life
What happening to it?
Ecstasy is heading to the scrapyard.
It's sad
😢
Went on at once was a good cruise I would not go on that ship again
Well you don’t have to worry about that now
Farewell Carnival Ecstasy
😞 SO SAD
