Thank you for the Horizon update. It is like you read my comment last time. Wow.. Horizon. Where my wife and I went on our honeymoon 27 years ago. Our one and only cruise. (We saw facination at our ports of call too) Wow.. This is really real.
I don't think I like your channel. Just joking, but poor Ecstasy. Never went on it although it was almost the first ship I took a cruise on, but every time I hear the ship's name I think of that old song It's Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next To Me by Barry White. And those two Star Cruise ships at the end used to be in NCL's fleet before they merged with Star Cruises. Sad to see them on their way out too.
Out of strictly curiosity I would really like to know what some of these cruise ships score financially being scrapped. The scrap money must be quite immense higher than that if the ship was sold outright to another Cruise Company elsewhere in the world. I'm even surprised that the cruise ships cannot be turned into freighters or car carrying vessels or even ship fairies to transport people and vehicles from one Shoreline to the next. Or even if they were brought into an area like the intercoastal and used as a hotel or short intercoastal Cruise. Or places like the great lakes of Michigan Surely they could be altered to accommodate anyone of those examples. At a much less cost than it would be to build new. Especially some of the cruise ships that have been maintained so well. Surely they must have at least 10 or even many more years of life left to them if properly taken care of. Just look how old the Queen Mary is. 50 something plus years technically with a little bit of more maintenance it would even be capable of traveling the oceans once again. Even having to change out the entire Engine Systems may seem extremely complex. But in today's technical world it's not out of reach at all in fact it can be done quite simply at known large vessel shipbuilder facilities across the world. There's even been ships over the years that have been literally cut in half and entire sections added to make them larger. So the possibilities are almost endless. Even an old ship with no exterior private balconies could very easily be altered to accommodate balconies. Anyway it's just a shame to see some of these beautiful ships simply destroyed for scrap metal.
Sad to see Horizon in Turkey. Sailed her many years ago as Celebrity Horizon. Can't believe the Imagination is still untouched.

I live in Old San Juan and would watch the Fascination leave port every Sunday. Sad to see her go!
My wife and I took our honeymoon cruise on the second sailing of the Ecstasy. Sad to see her go.
My husband and I went on MV Horizon for our 25th wedding anniversary a year after her launch, when she was brand new. So sad to see her scrapped.
Not my favorite ship star pisces! 😢
Thanks for the update. Actually, the funnel is now completely gone on Fascination. She looks like a barge.
Ecstacy was my first cruise in 2018 😢
The Imagination still looks untouched
Is this the once Celebrity Horizon? Took a cruise on it in 2002.
