Do not use a pry bar to remove the side bolsters! There is a bolt (#10) that fixes the lower notch/tab of the bolsters to the chassis. You may need to remove the bottom seat cushion to see it. Remove that bolt and push in the bolsters and slide up.
Appreciate this bro, was so confused how the kid removed his and I followed your comment during my seat delete on my Accord, wasn't as hard as I thought even if it was a weird design choice
This is very helpful because I'm trying to install seat covers on my Honda Accord 04, but I realized I have to remove the back seat in order to do that Lol Thanks for the video!
I just did this. Broke the side covers. You can just slide the bottom out. Remove one bolt near the double seat buckle clips, remove side panel bolts, and then back seat bolts. That way you don’t break your side panels.
3:46 Thanks for helping me figure out how to remove the bottom. My bf did something yesterday that required taking the seat out and didn’t check that the seat belt clip wasn’t underneath 😅 He’s at work & not answering the phone so I came to RUclips lol
Have an 05 Honda Accord and I love it. I just acquired it and this is the second video I watched and you are awesome my friend. You are just to the point and you show everything just like a mechanic. Thank you
Very helpful videos. Just one comment, the two sides of the seat are not to be pried out. Just tried yesterday, remove the bolt at the bottom and then push the whole thing upwards, it will slide upwards.
Nice job son. Kudos. This is wonderful you're learning how to work with your hands at such a young age. Kudos again. You appear to be a good, clean kid and I like that. Wish the world was filled with good kids like you.
Thank you & thanks for the suggestion on how to improve my presentation. I will be sure to use the driver and passenger side as opposed to left and right...Thanks for watching and taking the time to write a comment...
technically right and left, refer to driver sitting in the car,his left and right is the considered as car's left and right, which is the correct way driver side and passenger side is confusing, when you order the parts, since a lot of countries driver side is opposite of ours, but left or right is the same no matter what side the driver is sitting
@@ahoorakia That's not a bad point. As long as the precedent is set at the beginng it wouldn't be a problem. I just know the right and left confuses a lot of people. But very fair point good sir.
Me too. Cant decide how to proceed. Remove the backrest? Or the bench portion of the rear seats? That is my question. I was wondering if i could get the bottom part out, without first removing the backrest portion. I think if the bench part was removed, the backrest portion would fold flatter.

Sand under the seat like that is probably the result of receding flood water inside the vehicle. Your owner's title should have described 'flood vehicle' at purchase, and is useful to negotiate a lower price. Be aware of potential electrical problems due to saltwater. My flood car eventually suffered corrosion through-rust on the power steering tubing underneath the engine. I still don't regret the vehicle. Still my fave to drive. Thanks for the video. :)
I’m 100% mines is a flood the whole interior just looked like it was soaking . It literally only needed this big main fuse and new ground to engine, battery and frame . Took me forever to figure out because it would intermittently have zero electric. But for 800$ been driving it for 3 years its 2003 Honda A 124k miles it’s just ugly but has given me least problems out of all my cars
Somehow I can't find the lever in my 2004 Accord. Been trying to fold rear seats to install isofix bracket as my seats do not come with it. Any idea? Maybe hidden underneath the inner covers?
Could the lever been broken? It would be very strange for the lever not to be visible. It could possibly be hidden under the cover especially is the previous owner re-upholster the car with new fabric or covers.
@@EyeOnAiman thanks for the reply man. I think it would be broken or hidden during previous installation of car film tints as they had to remove the whole seat and covers to install in to the rear windshield.... I couldn't find that 10mm holding the bottom down! Doesn't help that there are ANTS living under the seat trying to bite at me as I search around... 05 Accord EX sitting for a couple years, had water leaking into the trunk and ants living in everything. Luckily they've isolated themselves to the rear seat now and the water leak was fixed.
@@dancearoundtheworld5360 Nah it was stuck in the yard of a family member and the ants made their way into it lol. It was also parked under a pine tree so it's covered in sap, so that's fun... good video,so you decided to use the power tool with dead battery! and just pour some salt water and fish under the seat, and called natural aquarium!LOL
poor owner before you couldn't clean under the seat, because you hadn't make this video then!!,LOL just kidding and as for side part, you have to lift it all the way up before pulling out so you won't brake those little tabs, that secures it
