I'm pretty sure he knows to fold the clay. But as for the wool pad with cutting compound, I'd actually recommend using 3M's new Tri-zact line up. They have somehow figured out how to remove using a wool pad entirely and go straight from D-A sanding to polish. And it's absolute MAGIC
So happy to see someone who plans to modify one of these. I bought one with a blown up motor last year and threw in a J30A from a jdm importer. Been driving it every day since. I do not love thar dual mass flywheel of the delay valve in the clutch system. So those are definitely the next things I'll try and get rid of. I've owned an 08 Accord EX-L V6 Sedan for about 4 years now and I love it so much. The powerband is so enjoyable in the mid range for city and highway driving. Such a good car. The 9th gen accord is definitly the coupes final and ultimate form, I gotta have that next. Hope everything goes well for you with this forreal.
Man, Ive been watching this channel for about 6 years now and the quality of these videos and the creativity of the builds just continues to impress me
So extremely hyped for this build. My first car was a 6-6 accord and it was the most fun you could have in a Honda for under 2K at the time. So excited to see the Gingium touch on this car 🤘🏼
If you like this - you should try 9th gen 6 speed. My son has this car like you and it’s great but the Tech, more HP and just overall feel of 9th Gen is great. PLUS it has a econ button that gets 29 mpg on highway - my 2013 has 250k and still strong.
7th gen Accords are amazing! I used to own a black 2007 euro Accord wagon, it was great until the rust got so bad that it wouldn't pass mandatory inspection anymore. It was just the base 2.0l gas engine with a manual transmission, but the shifter felt really nice so it was actually somewhat fun to drive.
I only discovered yesterday that Honda produced street going V6's and started marvelling at the idea of modifying one of these. Today my favourite youtuber announced he's got a Honda V6 project. I'm the happiest guy in the world
I bought one of these about a year ago as my first car, I absolutely love it. I definitely recommend installing a touch screen apple car play unit and new head lights! Great video!
I had an 05 Acura TL with the 6 speed. Great power, quiet, comfy, and great MPG. Edit: if you lower one of the J series FWD manual cars, you’ll probably experience heavy front end vibration on accel in 2nd and 3rd. Control arm bushings and most likely axles.
Worked in bodywork for 'x' amount of time many years ago. The hardest paint to get perfect was always the black paint. The darker the color, the more it will show. And black paint shows ALL. But from what I can see... Dude, that's not bad. Be proud of yourself man! You didn't burn thru the clear, and you cleaned it up pretty dang good. That's awesome
before that we got the altima se-r which was a less detuned vq and a 6-speed, but was also slower than the se because it was like 100 pounds heavier somehow. but they're pretty rare to see now and people always look at me weird when I get excited at seeing an altima.
@@etrcentenario9737 no 🧢, I was so close to buy one of those se-r. I seen one for sale in Georgia one time speced out white with some gold rims, had a sick ass body kit on it. Again, I’ll have one in the future.🙌
2007 Accord EX-L coupe, V6/6spd. 260k, all my miles. Same color, Nighthawk Black Pearl, which looks purple in the right light. Just had the cats go, so I had the shop replace everything with custom 2.5" exhaust with dual GReddy mufflers and deleted all the resonators. Sounds amazing, and she still gets 29-31 MPG on the highway on my road trips. Love this car, I'll never sell her.
Accords are always underrated cars. I have a newer 10th gen 2.0t one with a big turbo making around 390whp. Absolutely nobody expects it to be fast. Perfect daily and sleeper!
I just bought one a month ago. It wasn't yours. The 6MT sedans were all a limited production, but not special order run. According to what i was told by a previous owner in Bellingham WA, they were a one- per dealer allocation, whether they wanted it or not.
I remember like years ago a Magazine had a take that THIS was the modern Muscle car. It had the biggest engine available, manual transmission, 2 door, all at an affordable price. Now, it's missing that the biggest engine is a V6, and that it's fwd. But you can kinda see where they were coming from, even if a bit dumb to say.
I had a 2006 Accord SEDAN EX with the v6 and 6 Speed, bought it in mid 2013 for $10K - what a steal. Great daily driver, great fun driver, Had it 3 years and 35K miles, no issues, drove hard.
6:38 Some people have had 3rd gear lockouts, but idk if you meant the clutch pedal felt weird, as in it was losing hydraulic pressure or..? I've had the pressure plate go bad in some of my manual transmission-equipped cars, and usually this is one thing that kills the pressure in the clutch pedal; although pumping it back up a few times will usually resolve the issue. The pressure plate issue tends to really only show itself during high rev shifts. Aside from that, it might be an issue with either the clutch master or slave cylinder themselves. I highly, highly recommend you do a CDV delete in the Accord V6 6MT; it will change the driving experience completely. Some people say it doesn't affect the clutch disengagement (only the engagement), but I've personally seen beneficial changes in the disengagement after removing the clutch delay valve (CDV) from the clutch slave cylinder (CSC).
I had a 2003 v6mt Accord coupe, it was a fun car, handled well but had huge fender gap, and it was quick in a straight line. My wife had trouble with its blind spots so we sold it and bought a E36 328i. The 328i was slower but better in every other way; less NVH, better handling, more communicative, and more comfortable.
Centrifugal supercharger would be sweet, cool noises, less custom fabwork neeeded, crazy top end since you already have decent low and midrange with the displacement. Also always like a turbo but Centrifugal would be cool.
Super excited to see this! I owned a 6-6 sedan, 2006 in the Carbon Bronze pearl color, has 200k and drives like it has half that. Wonderful leather and practical controls, it’s been one of my favorite cars to own. Plenty of power, lovely gearbox and good mpg even. Tough to find bad things to say about it
My son had a 2007 same spec. Black paint had a nice blue , purple metallic in it. Car had 260,000 miles on it when he sold it back to the original owner. Great ride.
You're absolutely right about those being beat and neglected, my friend bought one with 140k miles. Was in really good shape, engine sounded great. A week later it blew up on the hwy just cruising in 6th gear. Put a rod through the block.
Like you said, so many of the v6 manual accords are thrashed that I ended up going with an Odyssey with plans to manual swap it. One owner is a heck of an opportunity and I love these manual v6 accords and can't wait to see what you have in store!
Thank you so much for making this video. The Accord coupe V6 is such an underrated car and I've been waiting for them to get some attention by RUclipsrs, especially because they are so affordable. Just a great deal for a good looking, fun daily car. I'm an owner of a 2017, which is the last year Honda made the Coupe V6, and I love it so much. Unfortunately its not a manual but its still the same 6 speed transmission as the manual with paddle shifters to help maneuver through its 278 horsepower. I'm never getting rid of this car ❤
My ‘07 Honda Accord V6 has 270,700 miles with Original motor and transmission and not a single light on the dash. Perfect, reliable and gets up to speed nicely (plus I upgraded the outdated components)
Ive had my 9th gen V6 Sedan Touring for three years now. Full tune I/E/H and supercharger making a comfy 420 whp. And it’s been absolutely incredible to own. My only gripe is no manual available for the sedans (If money was no object I would totally do a manual swap) but the best part is it’s so unassuming. No one expects that thing to rip until they drive it 😂 Recently put Michelin Pilot Sports on it and it’s transformed the overall feel of the car. Love my Accords

I had one of these. If your power steering pump starts making a noise, it’s probably a 50 cent O ring you can replace easily. Can get it from Honda. Engine mounts go bad pretty commonly, again not a hard job. Other than that you got the manual so that means less issues. Fantastic buy.
Excited to see future videos of the progress on this. I have almost the identical version of this car and it decided to chunk the timing belt and now I’m waiting for the new engine to go in. Thanks for making this, there’s not enough videos and info on this particular model out there and I’m new to Honda so I’m pretty lost.
Subbed. Just about every 6-6 Accord left, especially these older 7th gens are just clapped out. Nice to see this one get the love it deserves. I have a 2016 6-6 and I absolutely love it.
Granted it's super satisfying, paint correction usually does suck. Can take absolutely forever to properly correct paint depending on how hard the paint is and what compound & pads you have.
This is a great video man, I like your ability to make cars like the accord more appealing - especially being underrated. It’s amazing what a polish can do
Something that would help a lot would be to start with a rotary polisher with a Wool pad and a more aggressive compound as the first step, works wonders!

As a guy from The Bahamas the love for Honda’s over here is tremendous so seeing you do this to a 03 -05 coupe is amazing
Cant wait to see some wheels on it. Humble projects like this are my favorite, it just feels way more realistic
"humble" lol
Engine mods are humble too. Not like they are expensive until you start buying internals
The rpf 1s are op already ❤
So happy to see someone who plans to modify one of these. I bought one with a blown up motor last year and threw in a J30A from a jdm importer. Been driving it every day since. I do not love thar dual mass flywheel of the delay valve in the clutch system. So those are definitely the next things I'll try and get rid of. The paint on mine is way more clapped and it doesn't have the HFP kit on it.
new Gingium build = instant click and like ✅
instantly licks my balls
Hell, yes. I have been waiting for a v6 accord! Can't wait to watch the whole series play out.
I do love how much you get out of the v6 Honda Accord. Once you're all done, you should do a v6 accord automatic build!! I'm sure most ppl are scratching their heads and saying, "Why automatic...?" But why not. 😊
2k for a 6-6 is unheard of these days
If you like this - you should try 9th gen 6 speed. My son has this car like you and it’s great but the Tech, more HP and just overall feel of 9th Gen is great. PLUS it has a econ button that gets 29 mpg on highway - my 2013 has 250k and still strong.
I 6 speed seapped one of these a few years ago. Its so much fun. Now im seapping a 3.2 in it in the next few weeks
I'm the happiest guy in the world
also hafaland performance does a lot for the 8th gen specially..
p2r does a lot of j series development às well
I bought one of these about a year ago as my first car, I absolutely love it.
Thats what i own rn but my mpg is terrible
This is common of lowering most fwd cars. Axle geometry changes and you feel that.
@@rodeo2026 I'd average 23 mpg highway/city on a tank. 80mph would yeild 27-30 mpg avg, 70 would be 32-35mpg avg. All with the 6MT
Sirting in it right now
Worked in bodywork for 'x' amount of time many years ago. The hardest paint to get perfect was always the black paint. The darker the color, the more it will show. And black paint shows ALL. But from what I can see... Dude, that's not bad. Be proud of yourself man! You didn't burn thru the clear, and you cleaned it up pretty dang good. That's awesome
I'm REALLY hyped for this build! Always loved 7th gen accords. A friend of mine had a J35 swapped one, 12 sec 1/4 mile car hah!.
I’ve been watching for YEARS, have owned 2 Miata’s bc of this man, seeing this title pop up litteraly made me throw my joint out of excitement
Also all them accord steering wheels peel
The altima coupe had a vq + manual like the accord coupes, and the high spec ones with leather interior and everything, super comfy and nice
I’ll be getting the 3.5 manual in the future. I had one with the little 2.5. Miss that car, it was a coupe too
My friend had one was actually a pretty sweet car with the v6
Vq manual altimas & maximas are often easily made to be quicker than these.
before that we got the altima se-r which was a less detuned vq and a 6-speed, but was also slower than the se because it was like 100 pounds heavier somehow. but they're pretty rare to see now and people always look at me weird when I get excited at seeing an altima.
@@etrcentenario9737 no 🧢, I was so close to buy one of those se-r. I seen one for sale in Georgia one time speced out white with some gold rims, had a sick ass body kit on it. Again, I’ll have one in the future.🙌
I personally would say that the Honda cr-z is one of Honda’s most underrated cars
Honda should've drop a k series in the crz they would've sold like hot cakes
@@StingrayOfficial exactly why I’m trying to purchase one at the moment
@@StingrayOfficial go do your own research instead of relying on hearsay
Honda prelude
CRZ is just a 2 door fit 👀
I had a 6 speed ‘06 J30 sedan. Just sold it last year, kinda miss it. It was an awesome car. Glad you’re doing these justice!
I just bought one a month ago. It wasn't yours. The 6MT sedans were all a limited production, but not special order run. According to what i was told by a previous owner in Bellingham WA, they were a one- per dealer allocation, whether they wanted it or not.
Makes me happy to see acccodd coupe representation, I had an 8th gen for my first car. One of my favorite accord coupes
Excited for this build. I love all the POV and 360 footage and the fact that you can bring a new car home and immediately pull it up on the dyno.
It competed with a mustang that had 193hp v6 and a 300 hp v8, with it's lower weight and 250 hp was close to the v8
I had a 2006 Accord SEDAN EX with the v6 and 6 Speed, bought it in mid 2013 for $10K - what a steal. Great daily driver, great fun driver, Had it 3 years and 35K miles, no issues, drove hard.
Slowly, becoming Honda boy nice 😂 good to see more Honda content 🦾🔥
18:00 this was my favorite part of the entire video 😂
Tough to find bad things to say about it
I had an 07. I loved it. Full bolt ons. She was such a sleeper. Get the XLR8 performance j-pipe when you do the exhaust. It really wakes the car up.
My son had a 2007 same spec. Black paint had a nice blue , purple metallic in it. Car had 260,000 miles on it when he sold it back to the original owner. Great ride.
Our boy gingium is slowly transitioning to honda boy
vtec yooooo
You're absolutely right about those being beat and neglected, my friend bought one with 140k miles. Was in really good shape, engine sounded great. A week later it blew up on the hwy just cruising in 6th gear. Put a rod through the block.
10:01 wait until this guy finds out about v8s 😱
The 6-6 accord is a treasure. Thank you for buying n building this!
Supercharge it and bags👀 either way excited for this project
Like you said, so many of the v6 manual accords are thrashed that I ended up going with an Odyssey with plans to manual swap it. One owner is a heck of an opportunity and I love these manual v6 accords and can't wait to see what you have in store!
But you already have the most underrated car, the Fit
The guy that bought your fit is in my Honda group on Facebook. Him and his son are enjoying it and it’s nice to see it’s gone to a good home
Perfect, reliable and gets up to speed nicely (plus I upgraded the outdated components)
i love my 06 v6 6mt.... its got 460 000km on it and it still gets people on the hop. best $1600 daily beater ive ever bought.
Great car I own a 06 V6 6spd 4 door and I baby it all the time, I’m excited to see someone making content about the car and rarity of it!
You show it off in 7th gen groups?
Ive had my 9th gen V6 Sedan Touring for three years now. Full tune I/E/H and supercharger making a comfy 420 whp. And it’s been absolutely incredible to own. My only gripe is no manual available for the sedans (If money was no object I would totally do a manual swap) but the best part is it’s so unassuming. No one expects that thing to rip until they drive it 😂 Recently put Michelin Pilot Sports on it and it’s transformed the overall feel of the car. Love my Accords
Can't wait for this build, ive owned my 07 coupe 6-6 for 10 years now, its one I'll never get rid of, especially hearing everyone else regretting selling theirs. Lol.
I've had my 2004 v6 for 20 years. Love getting into it every time!
Awesome video. I have a 06 v6 6 speed sedan and I love the car. You were right about a lot of the things you said. Mine took some work but now it has full adjustable front and rear suspension, upgraded shocks and springs, intake, j pipe innovative mounts, and I have a stage 2 ported and polished magnesium intake manifold and throttle body on its way. Can't wait to see more from this channel!
I have an 09 v6 manual coupe, this was a great purchase you will not be disappointed. Just put a new timing belt on it.
I feel in love with the Accord in the last generation. It's so much fun to go through the entire Accord's history. I realize I've been missing out!
Absolutely love this car. I got a 03 Cl type s 6 speed (pretty much the same car) for my first car and 6 years later it's been an absolute charm. Got a s2k as my around town car for now but it's still my go to road trip car.
This is going to be a dope build. I have an 8th gen 6-6, but had a 6th gen sedan before this. You're going to love the accord.
I bought a salvage title 2011 V6 Accord Coupe as an interim beater car. One of my favorite cars of all-time and I've owned some very nice vehicles. And super, super reliable.
Hell yeah! My dad had an '05 Accord Coupe SE. Wasn't a V6, think it was a K24. It was gray, and it was bullet proof. I still *vividly* remember the day he brought it home. Love these cars.
i am glad that you started mountain biking, it helps with a lot of things in life.
I am really excited for this series. I am a fan of under rated and weirder options to modify. Keep it up mate.
This guy's channel bout to blow up with that car, he don't know how many ppl love modded Jseries
I am also an accord enjoyer, they are very amazing cars. ❤
It's EXTREMELY hard to find any accords in manual transmissions nowadays. It's like finding a needle in a haystack, so you're incredibly lucky!
Good day sir nice rig! I own two accords My 01 2nd owner my mom sold brand new in 2001 to her sales manager to whom I bought it back from a few years ago. Has 137k on the clock now. Also my 06-j35A6-6MT Coupe. I daily the 01 and the coupe is the toy. I grew up in the Honda dealership in the late 90’s early 2000’s and have been in love ever since. Also learned how to really drive in my moms 04 Sapphire Blue 6-6 coupe when it was brand new! Such good memories! Love how slept on these cars are. My fav Honda ever made. Underrated 💯%
That was my first car back in 08. Car was an 03 exl V6 manual. Such a fun car. Had her for around 7 years. Car was ahead of it's time.
Cool to see an Accord getting some love on a channel this big. In for this!
I owned one of the rare, 2 year only 06-07, accord v6 6 speed SEDANS. Those things are incredible. 5.5 0-60 with intake and exhaust. Sounded amazing, 87 octane and it does 134mph (speed limiter) so easily.
Man gingium idk if you’ll see this but I haven’t watched any videos from you since you finished building the rally Miata since life got crazy for me but I got this video recommended to me and decided to watch it and you’ve come a long way man keep up the awesome work man I’m gonna keep watching!
Much respect for not painting the reeeyums black or putting giant spade wheels on it.
Yesss finally a decent youtuber building a j series, I had a 99 accord with the 3.0, now I've got a 3.5 with the 6speed
I had one of these.
If your power steering pump starts making a noise, it’s probably a 50 cent O ring you can replace easily. Can get it from Honda.
Engine mounts go bad pretty commonly, again not a hard job.
Other than that you got the manual so that means less issues. Fantastic buy.
as an owner of a v6 accord (2014 Sedan), i absolutely love this
Excited to see future videos of the progress on this. I have almost the identical version of this car and it decided to chunk the timing belt and now I’m waiting for the new engine to go in. Thanks for making this, there’s not enough videos and info on this particular model out there and I’m new to Honda so I’m pretty lost.
I love my 2010 Honda accord Ex-L coupe. A lot of power in these builds
Subbed. Just about every 6-6 Accord left, especially these older 7th gens are just clapped out. Nice to see this one get the love it deserves. I have a 2016 6-6 and I absolutely love it.
Granted it's super satisfying, paint correction usually does suck. Can take absolutely forever to properly correct paint depending on how hard the paint is and what compound & pads you have.
bro i just bought a 2012 honda accord 3.5L v6 manual coupe and i love it!! congrats on the car
I had an 06 V6 6 speed manual sedan. Really miss that car. Love the content, got a new subscriber.
The car looks great after the detailing! Can't wait to see the rest of the build 6-6 Accords are so underrated.
This is a great video man, I like your ability to make cars like the accord more appealing - especially being underrated. It’s amazing what a polish can do
In 2017 I had an ‘04 Accord 6-6 for two years and 50k miles. I really liked that car.
YESSIR i been dailying an 05 v6 manual accord for like 4 years. it just works and feels quick.
Something that would help a lot would be to start with a rotary polisher with a Wool pad and a more aggressive compound as the first step, works wonders!
called it. hyped to see what you do with this because honestly those accords are super fun to drive and the v6 has to feel good to drive. excited to see the future of this car
