Suede was definitely the right choice, looks much better than the fake carbon fiber. Radio conversion looks pretty good but if you hate it, you could probably cover it in suede, too. I think it still looks good on camera, at least. Whole car is coming together quite nicely, can't wait to see it with better wheel fitment and to see what wheels you're going with
Hey gingium, since you still didn’t touch the headers there’s a guy on yt who figured out the science behind the classical F1 high pitch sound, long story short it’s all about stepped headers with sequential firing that go n pipes into 1, having an NA V6 it could be a great opportunity to try and put that theory into practice, also stepped headers give some performance gains on NA engines and that’s why they were done, nobody on yt except for that channel tried it yet since the video is from a week ago, and if what he says is right this car is going to sound MENTHAL. The video is called “How F1 sound is made”
Unfortunately these engines have the exhaust ports combined into one IN the head. The exhaust only comes out the head through one port. So I couldn’t do any fun fabrication with the headers :/
I've wanted to do something similar to my shitbox ever since I got it, but ever since I got my shitbox I've been nothing but broke....so this is just amazing to watch
Thank you for doing all the work here, I am on my 2nd 06 accord, now a v6 6 speed (bought it for $3k @150k miles, 3rd gear syncrho issue). Bought a 06 accord in like 2012, K24, 5 speed, 4 door... drove it from 50k to 280k miles, no major issues other than a water pump failure. My k24 06 sedan stopped because the ground wire from block to frame rusted which caused intermittent starting. I gave the car to my father in law, he couldn't fix it but I finally figured it out (by comparing it to my v6). I changed nearly everything out (wire harnesses in door, under dash, hood and dash fusebox, ECU) it was a miserable problem and I was like "well might as well replace the missing ground line under the hood" and the thing started without any issue. Road salt sucks.
I had this same version of this car, except mine was 2005. Such a solid car, i drove it 211,000 trouble free miles, bought it new with 3 miles on the odometer. Other than routine maintenance, I replaced the radiator at 85k miles, the starter at 120k, clutch and suspension work done at 140k.. and that was it. The car never gave me any engine or transmission problems. Always started on the first crank, ac always cold. Such a great vehicle
I prefer the Shifter knob from the 04-09 S2000. It's got the sweet brushed metal 6 speed pattern in black, but leather wrapped around the diameter. Great weighted shifter, and is an OEM style option.
@drake5557 RL caliper upgrades just use a mounting bracket that bolts on to your existing knuckle. TL type S brembos require the whole knuckle changed out and outer tie rods from a TL as well.
I have the exact same aftermarket dash kit on my 06 accord and have been driving for MONTHS without front speakers only now to find out I needed the amp on my old one, luckily I still have it and can put that in so THANK YOU 🙏 4:14
Just discovered the channel and as a lifelong (since the very early 1990s) car modder I loved the video and really appreciated the technical skills coupled with the attention to detail (like matching the suede between trim and seats). Subscribed - looking forward to watching more of this content :)
This was my first car that I got right out of high school like 10 years ago. Drove it for 7 years. Always loved the interior, but wanted more features like you. In my case, I simply sold it and got a Lexus. Props to you for actually putting in the work for something I never had the patience to do. Looks great.
You definitely sold me on the Corbeau seats! I didn’t want to lose the heated seats in my brz so I never really shopped around. Good to know a company actually make aftermarket seats that allows me to keep my factory features
They were probably momentary switches with some kind of relay, much more difficult to wire and usually has to be turned on each time you drive. The new switches are good ol' fashioned latching rockers, so you can leave them on all winter.
I'm doing the same thing now, also with a 20+ year old Accord but an EX sedan. Crutchfield gives you the wiring harness to whatever head unit you buy that's just plug and play. No wiring. They also sell that same dash kit in the video for $315 when you buy it with a head unit. By itself, the dash kit is $365.
I got an 03 accord coupe last year, however mine is v4 and automatic. I'm glad your channel was recommended to me, I love seeing more videos on the 7th gen coupe, it seems so rare. Even where I live, almost no one has this car. Instant sub, I'll be tuning in!
This is one of the cleanest interiors you've ever done! wow, I really like it! Good job man. please, keep it like this! just refresh the steering, and then it will be perfect.
for these accords you can leave the headlights in the on position or parking light position and they will turn off after a few seconds when you lock the car and when you you unlock they turn on like a new car does
I am buying a 08 v6-6 speed SEDAN for my son’s first car. Super rare spec and will absolutely be taking it back after he’s done with it (he really wanted a manual) I already have a boosted 17 V6 Touring but Accords are some of the most underrated cars. It’s a total package kinda thing which makes the driving experience on par with higher end cars imo. Your build is getting me excited for my next one too!
i have an 07 accord sedan and I'm jealous of the coupe because it looks so much sharper and aggressive when modifications and work is done to them. Watching these really do make me want to start modifying my accord and its a big help since i have a general idea of what parts to get now! great videos as always!
Looks awesome my grandma still has that same accord with the 4dr, and she has taken so much care of it it’s still in pristine condition 20 years after. For your accord the only thing I’d say it’ll improve it a little bit is giving it some new Wheels and maybe a headlight tint.
You can't hate on this build man. This has got to be one of the most interesting builds ever, not only because its honda but just your knowledge about cars makes it a fun watch !

That Corbeau suede looks fantastic! Great job! I like how the exhaust opened up a bit of sound but it still has a conservative feel. I have the piping for a 3" install on mine that will be happening eventually. This is some really good motivation, seeing how well this came out! You're killin' it!
My 2012 is over ten years old now, but I have somehow never had the door trim fall apart yet lol. Maybe because it's the base tan trim, but I'm still shocked.
there is a plastic clip in between the license plate lights, i popped that out, put a rubber seal over it, and used it to route my rear cam wires through :)
Hey! Super excited to see the build series! I have a 06 6mt sedan myself and love the platform. If i may, i highly recommend the tl-s rear sway bar for these cars. It completely eliminates the rear body roll and keeps the car way more planted in the corners even with stock suspension.
The interior looks really good! Honestly i feel that these are the mods and videos i really enjoy, makes it feel more relatable for the average car guy!
I went with Crutchfield when I upgraded the head unit in my '10 Civic. It was pretty much plug-and-play and I got everything installed in just a few hours.
Those seats are ridiculous (in a good way) and I really like that you did the suede on the door trim and trim pieces where it counts. I immediately went out to go find one of these Hondas after this videos lol

But also just wanted to clarify, im pretty sure you have a Honda Accord with the limited HFP kit. That kit comes from factory with that bodykit, and the "carbon" interior. Correct me if im wrong but im pretty sure thats true (same thing for the early 2000s EP3s that had a HFP kit). Love the channel, your Fit series convinced me to also get one, GE8 though👌
This series rwally makes me miss my 07 accord. It was a sedan 4 cylinder but had a 5 speed. I loved that thing so much, especially after i did some new wheels and tires and put some power mods.
240 wheel with only two mods is nice. You could swap heads/cams for significantly more power or run an E85 tune. All of them combined would make almost 350 wheel but possibly risk the transmission in 1st gear at redline. Frequent oil and transmission fluid changes would help the car still last a long time
Awesome to see someone taking care of a 7th gen in 2024, not many people care about these anymore and as an owner myself (albeit an i4 auto) it's fun to see other people messing with them
The exterior is a timeless design, but I agree with the interior. I did the same with mine as well. Once the radio is upgraded, you forget it’s an older vehicle.
I do have to agree the interior on these are superb. I owned a 2004 Acura TSX and it was a huge upgrade compared to my previous 2001 civic. Not only that, everytime I’d ask someone to guess what year it was they’d always say something along the 2010s
The do make a kit that allows you to keep the original radio in there and install a double din in where the door/cubby is below it. Not the best way but you do get to keep the OEM hvac controls plus you're saving hundreds of dollars.
If you're looking for the best interior of an early-2000's car, this is good, but you have to check out the first-gen Audi TT. I've daily-driven one for a few years, and it's perfect: Roomy, beautifully-designed, durable, and intuitive to live with.

I thought this too. Depending how much is left he could do all the dash trim and tie it together

If you're looking for the best interior of an early-2000's car, this is good, but you have to check out the first-gen Audi TT. I've daily-driven one for a few years, and it's perfect: Roomy, beautifully-designed, durable, and intuitive to live with.
Hey if you are gonna keep up the back to back uploads on this build i and many others will keep watching back to back!!
Car is coming along great!
Beautiful. Top notch job again my man love the results
Yo that interior looks 🔥🔥🔥! Awesome upgrade for a reasonable cost I'd say.
Also, I'm glad someone else says "heat seaters" 😂
Dude. That looks absolutely sick
❤
I'm so glad your Volvo best that McLaren 520s loved it 🎉
You could always use a carbon fiber dash kit that will go over the aftermarket dash kit and over the ac vents.
