Thank you for adding this, my dad to make ours, and this is exactly how he did it. He passed 4 yrs ago and I couldn't remember the steps or how long to do water bath ❤️. I will tell people, I lost my mom, dad, and grandmother in 2.5 yrs. I wrote down so much, but there are so many things I didn't, and it's breaks my heart, but it makes my heart happy that people are taking the time to post these how to videos, so through generations it doesn't get lost.

Good morning Chef Jeffery!!! I just watched your video. I canning your peppers and I noticed that you had a hole in one of the lids on your jars has a pinhole in it, It’s not gonna seal. Please check your jars after they cool down and you’ll see that one of them has not sealed ,I don’t want you to get sick. Watch your video you’ll see. Thank you for the recipe and much respect.

My Daddy HAD to have pepper sauce for greens, beans, etc. He always had a big garden so although I don't remember, I'm sure he grew his own peppers. Just an FYI, if any folks out there wouldn't use or need as much, Texas Pete makes a really good pepper sauce for greens. I make my own now also but you can just keep adding canning salt and white vinegar to the Texas Pete one when it's empty, keep in the fridge and just keep it going lol.

Thank you Chef Jeffery, just last week my twin and I was talking about pepper sauce. How nobody make it anymore. My father grew peppers, we always had pepper sauce. He grew those green peppers. I don't know the name. He grew peppers up until he passed in 2019. He was 90, still had a garden every year. He gave away most of what he grew. He loved sharing. I just remember seeing that bottle on the kitchen table. Some peppers were red, some was green, some were yellow. All sizes. I know my mama sometimes mixed the white and apple cider vinegar. She boiled the vinegar, salt, and I don't know what else was in it. I been trying to find out. I'd love to make some. It's hard to find glass ketchup bottles. My mom would used glass bottles. We put it on greens, peas, beans. cabbages. It gave what ever you put that pepper sauce on flavor. Just like Chow, Chow. And Apple Butter. It was a staple in our home, my father only bought came syrup. But I been looking for a recipe for pepper sauce. Most remember. Their grand parents, parents.even older family members having it on the table, when the vinegar got low, they added more. Sometimes my mother put the peppers in her vegetables when she was cooking them. I ate the peppers but not the ones in the pepper sauce. I just thought how odd nobody talk about pepper sauce. Now I saw this said. God is Good. Because neita and I been talking about how much we miss pepper sauce. Yes mama took the stem off. I could not remember if she water bath hers or not. But now thanks to you, I can use the peppers I grew. see how it goes, I know she said she asked Ms Lori, from whipperrwillholler.she remembered her grand parents having a bottle on their table. Didn't give her a recipe. I will use some glass cocktail bottles I have. I'll make it work. Again thank you. For sharing your mamas recipe. I knew somebody had to know what else was in that liquid. You came through.👍. I'll share this video with her. God Bless. Take care. Love, Respect and Positivity Always. Vee.✌️🕯️💕✨🙏🙂👋👣.

I used to make suicide peppers like that take a filet fish knife and scrape the insides and clean the pepper out then fill with a habanero diced and seal the pepper up and one was hot and the others were mild and who ever got that hot one was thinking 💭 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Hi Chef Jeffery, I like this video, those peppers reminds me of pickled pigs feet that I used to buy when I was back home in New Orleans, they sold pickled pigs lips and vegetables in jars too. Its hard to find pickled pigs feet here in San Antonio, so I would love to learn how to prepare some myself. Please let me know if you know anything about pickled pigs feet, Thank you !
