I've always wanted to learn how to make this!!! Thank you for the lesson chef!!!!!
Chef Jeffrey, I love pepper sauce. We would put it over collards/mustard greens, cabbage, turnips green, pinto beans, buttered beans, etc. We had a pepper bush in our back yard. We would pick the peppers off the bush, and my mother would soak them in vinegar and put in a bottle or mason jars. The peppers were very hot, but good. Thank you for showing us how to make and can pepper sauce. Stay safe.
Chef, I was raised on pepper 🌶 sauce and this is Exactly how I make mine just minus the Habenero Peppers (I only use a couple....too hot 🔥 🥵) 😆
My dad always sprinkled hot pepper sauce over his food. That's where I got my taste for really hot food. Pepper sauce and chow chow. That as his thing. Thanks for the memories. I'll be making this pepper sauce!
Looks Delicious. Thank You for sharing. I am going to make this. Be Blessed.
❤ same recipe, my grandmother taught me. Thanks, Chef Jeffrey, for sharing your recipe. 😊 I'm from Southwest GA. 4 miles from Alabam , cross the Chattahoochee to a place named Gordon Town. Then a few more miles into Dothan Alabam. Love from the South.
That is awesome!
Thanks!
Nice video, thanks for sharing, I will try it.
Great 👍 job 👏
OH CHEF! THAT SWEET SOUND---how true how true!

😍😍😍😍😍 ohhhh my goodness! My grandmother used to make pepper sauce, Cha Cha (some say Chow Chow), souse meat, jelly from the concord grapes she grew in the back yard hog head cheese. Boy you're not kidding when you say Ole School soulfood. Definitely food I grew up on. Fond fond memories. I think I'll make some pepper sauce in a few weeks.
My grandmother made this and my mother makes it . It's good on greens & peas . "THANKS for sharing"

ok, I see your recipe!!!
Awesome! We would put pepper sauce on black-eyed peas. I don't like hot peppers, but I love vinegar so I enjoy a few shakes & can't really eat black-eyed, cream, or crowders without it. Thank you!!!
Sounds great!
Excellent! Thank you kindly for sharing! 🌶

I made the pineapple cake today from your 9/18/21 Friday's cake video but had more glaze than I wanted to use and didn't want to throw it out, so I canned it for the next cake.
I used fresh pineapples that I had canned this time last year. It was delicious.

So, my canning book says to leave 1/2 inch of room between the food and the lid. You don't do thst?
Yes
@@OLDSCHOOLSOULFOOD I opened these today (10/4). I used my own Long Hot peppers instead of Habeneros, and the sauce was hot and mellow, but not too strong for these Massachusetts taste buds.
Making these again. They were a big hit with many of my friends. Someone made their own pimento cheese with them!
