    I like that this is under 7 minutes. Some of these others is in excess of 10 minutes for something so simple.

    Looks so colorful and nice. I never realized the carrot was shredded and have been trying to cut mine fine. Thanks for the tips

      Yes, I use a mandoline slicer or any kitchen tool that can cut carrots evenly.

    Goes great on some jerk chicken or jerk pork!!! I went to Jamaica and fell in love with the food and the island people. Such an amazing place. The flavor makes me fell like I am there for a second. One Love!

    Thanks for this Raina, I have what we call vinegar pepper, pretty similar except it doesn't have carrots and all spice so I will be trying this one. Blessings ‼️

    Question: Should the finished jar be stored in the fridge or out? I grow up seeing it out of the fridge. But don't think they put water and sugar in it

      You can use it right away because the heat from the liquid will extra the flavors.

    I'm in Atlanta as well, but haven't been able to get my hands on any scotch bonnet pepper in years. None of the farmer's markets seem to carry it any longer. Where are you finding yours?

    • @TheRainasKitchen

      Hey. Did you try Nam DAE Mun or dekalb farmers market? If not, go on Facebook market place . I see people selling the plants.

    • @TheRainasKitchen
      @TheRainasKitchen  9 месяцев назад

      You can use all vinegar if you choose but that’s just too tart for me . The sugar will also balance the acidity levels. If you google Jamaica pickle peppers recipe that all call for water and sugar.
