I just bought a GA645i about a month ago and it has been a real pleasure to shoot with, it’s my go-to everyday camera now. The lens renders images that are so sharp and crisp!

One of my favorite cameras ever made. I own the 60mm and the images are fantastic.
I really loved the results, and getting 15 or 16 shots on a roll is a blessing.

Very cool. I hadn’t seen that one or really a camera like that. I have the old, all manual GSW690III. It blows my mind how expensive cameras are getting. I’m glad I scooped up so many about 10 years ago.

I agree that the medium format Fuji’s are incredible, they are capable of producing wonderful photos.
One problem with the 6x4,5 in my opinion is the somewhat troublesome build quality. I got myself a wonderful GS645S,it gave me pin sharp images and was a joy to use, for 2 rolls after witch the film transport broke 8(.
I still need to send it of for repair because it is worth it.
I own a GA645Zi and it's definitely one of my all-time favorite cameras! I typically load it with Portra 400 and shoot handheld when hiking about the desert southwest.
Alan Huntley I also own the GA645Zi and also use Portra 400 or sometimes Portra 800. Good build quality, sharp lens, easy to use, ideal for travel due to it’s small size.

I've got the 16 frame one (wonky dial gang). The focus is exactly like a contax G, it's easy to tell when it'll miss. It takes amazing pictures though. I bought it for a month of intense travelling and haven't used it since, maybe time to sell it.

My GA645i indeed reads the ISO from the barcode of the back paper when I'm using Fuji brand films.

Shameless plug: I took Nico’s portrait with this camera in his studio. With the pop-up flash, too! 😬 Pretty much a perfect travel medium format camera if you need to run and gun.

Great camera I bought the GA645zi but I hate it because the auto focus is slow and take like a sec after pressing the shutter for the photo to be taken. I’m going for the GS645 as I prefer manual along with reliability
Bc its leaf shutter. so you can change the curtain. In case you dont know.
I use the GS645S Wide. Is a good camera too.
I have yet to try it out but have heard good things from friends. Fuji did know how to make mean cameras, and sharp too.
Upping your game with P&S with a MF P&S makes so much sense; point made.
Its totally worth it! MF for life!
Great summary of a wonderful camera. The lens is tack sharp and the results are amazing. I just wish they made it in a SQUARE image format.

Fuji made some of the best medium format cameras, but yeah 645 is not my format, but with current prices Im starting to love it, slowly.

The 60mm is more like a 37-38mm FL compared to FF. Also I see you have a wonky command dial, too!
Yeah, noticed I said it wrong while editing. And dont they all have wonky dials? Still havent seen one working properly.
Willing to bet the dial on this camera would be fixed easily by cleaning the contacts.
I would fix it if I knew how.
You have the basics and wide which one do you rcommend?
I would say the normal 60mm lens is the best option overall.
