GER's ability "returns to zero" like a quicksave, you're not turning back time because you killed an npc and loaded the last save, its as if that time never happened
GER'S ability is so much more broken than telling time no, he can just tell reality "that didn't happen" and its forced to agree and move the pieces back to where they were
@@camerabox1 I believe it’s so much more broken than that. Where crimson effectively video edits time to get you to a planned outcome, GER basically skips the outcome entirely. You will die a thousand times, but you will not ever fully be dead. Your last moment will never happen.

GER is actually one of the scariest stands imo. An infinite death loop is just scary
not to mention there is no way to realistically beat it the death loop alone is horrifying but the ability to make all of your actions useless then kill you is worse
@@justsomeguywithamustach Honestly, the only ones who could ever beat GER are characters who can transcend fiction, like the One Above All from Marvel or similar characters. That, and I think Gappy from JoJo part 8 could beat GER because he has "Go Beyond" which is an imaginary bubble that doesn't exist, but also can effect things as if it does exist (which would nullify GER being able to do anything to stop it)

Just love this scene. Everything about it is perfectly done. You think that Diavolo's going to win. You think that he's going to rip Giorno's heart out when suddenly time starts moving backwards and suddenly you realize... that entire line of events was erased from existence by GER. He removed the effect from the cause. The exact opposite of Diavolo's ability.

I tried to somehow explain the GE Requiem ability (ik this comment is joke pls no woosh me):
GER changes the "requiem" moment (The moment where Diavolo said first thing) of original timeline to different (Diavolo said another thing) so basically the KC worked properly and showed the true moment of future in the ORIGINAL timeline where KC was placed but GER changed the timeline and prevented that moment. After that he looped the Diavolo's timeline and changed his fate at the "requiem" moments which are his death moments (When Diavolo dies he moving to the different timeline where he didn't die yet and so on).
So now Diavolo's timeline is infinite line made out of different moments which end in the moment he dies and then continuing at another timeline where he didn't die yet.
So the Golden Experience Requiem's true ability is to change the timelines, cut them and loop them.

@@donviala2059 That wasn't Giornio. That was epitaph's projection of the future Giornio time was still erased along with everything else in existence except for Diavolo...and GER. Yeah GER restored its time and its time alone with seems to imply it literally does not required Giornio to operate considering Giornio's time being erased is way,way,way worse then him dying.
@@janedoe4929 ive seen it explained that GER resets time back to a zero point (when GER activates). So that you can never attack him because he resets things to before you even had the idea of attacking or somethin like that

To the people who say that “Ger doesn’t cancel attacks! He cancels abilities like diavolo’s time skip!” No he doesn’t, he canceled diavolo’s attack, to make you understand this, Diavolo’s power is that when he skips time, he cannot interact with beings and objects that are in the time skip, when diavolo skips time, he stops it so he can attack his opponent, so right when you saw diavolo about to punch giorno, you could see the effect of the time skip stopping, so this proves that GER can cancel attacks, not just abilities.
