I wish I had watched this before ordering my Rogue Ghosts. Once I mounted on my rogue monster rack and saw all the play, I was less than pleased. I'd seen the previous versions with play, and figured Rogue had addressed it with Rogue on Rogue. Completely disappointed in spending that much for a product that feels 3rd party. Thanks for the lesson in waiting. Good stuff, keep it coming.
Great review. I wonder if the Irwin center-roller will fit inside the ghost J-cub🤔. I have the Ghost 2.0 but id rather have the center return or just a flat roller inside it.
Love your videos as always! Do you see any shifting with these as you move the bar...my XIXII are great but I do find they need to be re-seated slightly between sets. (They pivot a bit...would be nice if they locked in tighter or were designed with a second pin to prevent shifting. May just be a matter of them not being a perfect fit for my PR5000. One other struggle I'll have is as the price rises getting a second set of Mutant Metals snap back rollers starts looking attractive :)
@@MacStrengthCo Inflation probably increased the price a little when I ordered. My fee was a separate charge from the roller charge, so the $314.68 did not include the fee.
Kudos to Rogue for licensing products and building them in the USA. Compared to some other companies who “borrow” American designs and have them made in China. ✌️
Yes they do…like the echobike Rogue seemingly goes out of their way to license products (like Westside’s reverse hyper) rather than simply copy it and get it made in China. I admire that.
@@youngcouplesparty9006 Rogue sells more china products than I would like to see but they continue to drive the market and push innovation. So many followers like yourself only buy Made in USA.
It seems like Rogue releases products much slower than companies like Rep. Do they lack engineers? Or is it more difficult to design products AND onboard the manufacturing? I bet Rep puts out 20 products for each new Rep product. I’d be curious to know gross sales figures, as most RUclipsrs seem to be pushing Rep affiliate links, and most commenters I see will gladly save 20% or so and buy Chinese. Do you think Rogue is still the market leader, for real? Idk, personally
@@youngcouplesparty9006 I buy what I can afford on a middle class Income. Rogue is expensive and offers no first responder or military discounts. They told me they sell enough they don’t need to offer discounts. Rep does offer discounts and prices their products ar an affordable price point but keeps quality high. (Chinese manufacturing)Rogue is all about CrossFit commercial spaces. Their home gym market is small compared to REP. REP will be making equipment in the USA soon as that’s always been something the customer wanted. Rep seems to listen to the customer more than most. I’m only an affiliate because I used and bought so much REP stuff and it didn’t suck I naturally became an affiliate but I was skeptical at first 3 yrs ago when I started our gym.
I think many people actually do just that but if you only have one set switching the roller every workout would be a pain. Personally I just send it with whatever roller but some people really get serious on set up. Irwin offers the flat option.
I have the new Rogue Ghost. The lower bottom profile allows me to place safety straps one position higher than designs like the Irwin or Titans.
Good point!

Thank you sir. Sorry to hear the play issue and just like you I was a bit disappointed but they are still nice jcups. Cheers🤙🏼

only on the upgraded ghost j-cups. Rogue designed it so you can't on the regular ones.

I haven’t had any shifting issues with the Irwin’s but the rogues shift a little. Not enough to bother me but on a rogue rack they would fit better.
Between all J-Cups (Monolifts included) which do you recommend the most? I own a Rogue Rack if that matters.
tough decision. The mono's are too bulky for most movements, OH press etc. I would say the Irwin's if you only could have one set.
@Mac Strength Co. I have a pair of sandwich j-cups but looking for a second to have as a dedicated bench (incline & flat)
@@We.R.Comics Just for bench if you can afford it the new ROGUE MONO is pretty awesome. I use my 100% for bench work and really like it.
@Mac Strength Co. Yeah, I've been eyeing that. I guess just needed verification lol Thank you!
$314.68 was my delivered price September 14th after your 5% code, but that was with flat composite rollers. Also, a $9.44 foreign transaction fee.
Thanks! The pricing is hard to follow with the conversion rate but that seems about right with custom colors. cheers!
@@MacStrengthCo Mine was not custom colors. Just plain black.
@@markhalstead2386 I think my order was around $290 usd but that doesn't include bank fees and foreign conversion fee so that's about right on.

I’m not arguing with you. Just making conversation.
I agree that Rep has kept quality high.
You have a great gym, and channel.
If you wanted the bar more towards the back for squats, couldn't you flip the roller around in the j-cup?

WOW the Irwin j cups make the Rogue/Ghost look underbuilt 😱
3.5 lbs heavier and they are beefy! Hard to go wrong with either one. Both are top contenders!
I’m confused why anyone would want the stainless steel roller? Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of protecting your barbell????
same here.
I think you might have more pick-up trucks than you do roller J-cups.
I have 3 trucks, 1 tractor and a wheelbarrow 😂
@@MacStrengthCo lol... I'll call it a draw with two Ghost, one Irwin, and one Titan.
