How can so much time have passed? I remember when this released and I first saw this video on TV. Wow.
Culture Club was one of my sister's favorite bands back in the day.
I remember none of the guys in the 80's started wearing makeup, until after Culture Club made it big! George made it a thing!
The bass lines are just so funky.
One of the best things about this video is how comfortable George seems to feel being himself. He looks like he's genuinely having a great time and it makes me happy. 😆

Not sure how many others remember this when it came out, but CC was seminal. Boy George broke barriers. Duran Duran, Cindy Launer, Spandau, depeche, and Culture Club were just several that made the 80’s iconic and unforgettable.

When my dad wasn't looking, his girlfriend's daughter who was 15 and I was 6; took me into her room and dressed me up like Boy George! It was awesome! A few years ago I found her on FB and I thanked her for doing that for me. It was sweet!

I tend to write off this group as 1980s fluff but they were truly groundbreaking at the time. They introduced into pop music sounds that were not familiar to many people at the time. This song is unique in that it combines Latin and reggae sounds in the same song. They sometimes did Motown better than Motown (e.g., "Time (Clock of the Heart)" and "Miss Me Blind").

I was in Sydney Australia not too long ago at a bar for adults that was connected to what Aussies call a "Milk Bar" where kids hang out. I heard this song when I walked in and asked where this song was playing and the bartender pointed me the next room. I looked through the door and saw all of these kids all under the age of 16 dancing to this song. (lol) I just shook my head and smiled.
