DMB songs were part of my college soundtrack. I can still remember which housemate introduced the rest of us to DMB. The songs played through the rooms and halls (and in the bars we went to) more times than I could begin to guess. The music was always carried with us on road trips and I made sure I had Under the Table and Dreaming in my car for the long drives from home to college and vice versa. Mix tapes wouldn’t have been the same without DMB. I bought tickets for a show near my hometown, just in time for my migraines to become chronic. I gave the tickets to my little brother, he brought a friend. I was not a happy camper that I had to miss it, particularly when my brother got home and told me how incredible the band was at playing live. It’s been years and years since my last concert (migraines are a real SOB when it comes to the lights and sounds of concerts). I keep hoping though - that some day, the symptoms will be brought under control enough for me to finally, finally see DMB live. In the meantime, I have the memories that surround the music. Thank you for posting the video.
When I was in college, one of my roommates was a Dave Matthews Band fanatic. He introduced me to them. After I moved out to a new city and a new school, I was walking along outside crossing the street and I saw a CD without a case faced down on the ground. I picked it up and it was a Dave Matthews CD. That was my first Dave Matthews CD. That CD became one of my favorite CDs. I use that CD when I was drawing to inspire me. A big cheers to the Band! Thank you for the inspiring music!!!
I've been following DMB for 30+ years from state to state. 54 shows. FULL body chills that they are in the Hall of Fame - about time! Just wish Roi and Boyd could have been there in person.
I've been following them since 1994 during my freshman year at college and students were passing around bootlegs of this guy Dave Matthews nobody really knew. It was bootlegs of frat parties where he was getting his music out. We were like, "who is this guy? He's really good." It's fun to look back at that and say, yeah I was there in the beginning and yes, I was instantly hooked.
Congratulations to my absolute favorite band from their beginnings! Been to a dozen or so live concerts with the latest at Labor Dave weekend at The Gorge with friends! Phenomenal is right, Julia! ❤❤❤🎉
Under the Table and Dreaming was my intro to DMB. I finally got tickets to my first show in 2002. For the next 13 years, I saw them perform at least once a year, twice if I was lucky. So well deserved. ❤️ this band.
I love how when she's talking about him he seems a tad awkward, but you put him in his element and those grins are so genuine. Love him and the whole band. Well deserved.
I have seen them probably 20 times. He is so humble, kind, and diagnosed with Aspergers. Did you ever see the video of their song, "Dreamgirl"? Julia was his dreamgirl 💙
THANK YOU FOR THIS! I STUMBLED ACROSS A DAVE MATTHEWS BAND IN CONCERT ON YOU TUBE . JUST THAT ONE HAD ME SEARCHING FOR MORE TO WATCH! THIS BAND IS INCREDIBLE AND THEY DESRVE THIS HONOR!!!
I fell in LOVE with DMB in 1997, I was 14. They completely changed my musical life. They have brought me comfort through their beautiful lyrics and melodies time and time again. There are so many of my core memories in friendships and relationships intertwined with their songs. Hearing those songs instantly brings happy tears to my eyes. I remember my bedroom walls being splashed with posters of the band throughout my teen years. I have had the honor of seeing them several times. I’m a lifelong lover and supporter of them. I’m beyond happy for them! Also Alanis is right, Satellite is a phenomenal song, my personal favorite.
I've been to 65 DMB shows. This band warms the core of my soul and there have been times it has been freezing in there. I'm beyond extremely thankful they put this music out into the universe.
How great she was the one to bring Dave out! CARTER! Love this! Love every single thing about this. This band is part of my daily therapy and has been for decades!
DMB has graced us with their original music for many years. ❤ One of the most versatile and hardest working band ever. Congratulations DMB! Well deserved. 🥰🤗
Saw his concert once & it was electric! I was blown away! I've been wanting to go to another concert to see him. During COVID he played previous concerts for charity. He is amazing and the musicians with him are the best! 💕 Love Dave. Stevie Nicks even did his song Crash! Way to go!!!!!!
I have only seen the Dave Matthews Band once, at the Kaboo festival in San Diego. But I instantly recognized the community there. such a great vibe, such a great band congrats
So I'm a Virginia Native and lived in Sandbridge Va. Which is a high end Area to vacation. Beach homes to rent!!! A beautiful restaurant bar with live music 🎶 local bands!!! So Dave and his family spent there Summers growing up enjoying this beautiful beach ⛱️!!! Well I had the honor of meeting him and family while he vacationed in Sandbridge Va.!!! He was already famous and here he goes and joins the local band to play three songs 🎵!!! The Most down to earth person you could ever meet!!! Love DMB 😊
punctuation matters. Be that as it may, Boyd crossed to current PC line of " 'NO' means NO" Adding in it was a male on male 'NO' which makes a larger percentage of people cringe. No way was he going to be a part of the performance. Saying that, I think DMB has not been the same since his departure. That fractured violin/fiddle was a vital part of the early DMB sound and it's missed by me and by many others I'm sure.

I have been to many; many concerts and their concerts have always left me feeling amazing when leaving whatever venue. The only thing that upsets me these days, I cannot afford their concert tickets anymore. The sale of their tickets regardless of venue, is astronomical, and this makes me very sad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am very happy, very happy to know they have been indicted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Watching the show last night; their performance brought chills. Plus, Julia Roberts commencement speech was very cool and funny. Please, please control the sale prices of these concert tickets! It's not fair! @davematthewsband
Prices are actually astronomically low considering this band's success. If you’re a warehouse member they're cheaper. Ticket master are the ones who mark them up.
I agree they could have picked better songs to play. They have an amazing discography and these are not the songs they should have played especially if they were trying to introduce people to their music.

one more reason to complain, unbelievable. they did the best they could with the time slot they had. what u think, they were gonna get an hour to play?? not so much. the audience wasnt just DMB fans, it was their peers and the whole music world, shoulda been obvious to anybody they werent gonna play deep cuts from the catalog.

And he skipped the second half of the first verse. But it the band didn’t skip a beat, maybe one in the beginning. I came looking for a comment about that. The thing about the band is they are so good, mistakes are rarely made and easily compensated for.
