Dr. Curry had dinner at JD's house, that lasted 3-4 hours, so we should assume she got a sense for the man. Thats when she looked at notes and depos and such, flew and spent 12 hours with AH. So.. idk even though she wasn't clinically evaluating JD she at least spent time with both of them. Dr. Hughes *forgive if mispelled* can't claim the same.

That was so weird to me as well, even Dr. Curry stated multiple times when being questions on Depp’s behavior that she did not test Depp and does not have a diagnosis for him while Heard’s defense attorney try to get her to agree to one for Depp.

Everybody in the medical profession knows it's unethical to diagnose anybody without thorough asessment and examinations. One can't even diagnose Vladimir Putler with any kind of health problem mental or physical even though he's clearly insane and has very much grandiose delusions and swollen face due to glucocorticoid treatment for cancer it's just unethical and way beyond professional. At the VERY LEAST she should have made it very clear that her testimony was not an expert testimony but rather just her own opinion. This woman should not be board certified and i'm very much sure that will change and she should not have a licence to practice anymore

So let me get this straight:
JDs legal team hires their own forensic psychologist who does a battery of testing on Amber. Presents her findings painting a picture of Amber based on those findings. She is not swayed but presents her findings on testing and own clinical judgement. AH’s dollar tree lawyers cross exam her and try to discredit her due to “bias”. When that didn’t work they starting throwing anything at the wall to see what will stick, ie muffin incident, accusing her of talking to her own spouse about this case, saying she isn’t board certified, will not let her go back to her 25 page assessment. In contrast to the Defenses psychologist who brings a whole 3 reams of paper and gets to rifle through them at will.
Then here comes the defenses psychologist-who also doesn’t seem to have spent much time with AH. Who discredits and disagrees with EVERY finding that Dr. Curry has. And is the most bias person yet in this trial. And that is fair how?
I really hope this jury weighs this heavily and makes a decision based on logic and the true evidence. And not bullying and emotional outbursts that are seemingly in the realm of acting.
Ready for the cross examination. I hope they are good at note taking. There is a lot to cross exam.

There isn’t a single psych exam or test you can give a person that will determine whether or not an event occurred. You’re a psychologist, not a detective. So for her to sit there and claim that her exam of Amber indicates that events occurred based on Amber literally just saying they did is probably the most unethical and ridiculous thing I can imagine in the world of psychology.

i find it funny that Amber's lawyer is so understanding when this psychologist asks to see her report to "refresh her memory" but when Dr. Curry asked to see the report she ignored it and zoomed past saying she shouldn't need to see the report to remember important stuff...what a hypocrite. It's also interesting to note that she's basing all of the potential behavior from just Heard's account, how does she know that that's actually how Depp responded? It's straight-up hearsay, and we all know we can't take Heard's word on anything.

If not….a psychologist cannot comment professionally on a person who is not present who they have not directly evaluated. No psychologist would do this. That is diagnosis by proxy. It is considered scientific malpractice. Any clinical professional would be struck off by their professional body.
She also, speaks too much and overloads the listener with data. Uses excessive jargon. The jury likely won’t know what standard deviation is. Also speak clearly, why say symptomatology instead of just ‘symptoms’. She also uses terms I’ve never heard of. She’s also wrong on what a personality disorder is. It need not pervade all areas of life.

Notable differences between the two psychologists testimonies:
    1. Dr Curry testified with neutral language within the boundaries of facts, findings and solid, evidence supported conclusions. A more solid, professional argument was provided by Dr Curry as a result for all her findings.
    2. DR Curry did not use repeated gender bias in general or as subsequent backing to her findings. The gender bias was heavily used as argument in itself.
    3. DR Hughes testifies as though her opinions drawn from her assessments are actually factual and references graphic scenarios as though they actually occurred. Shows strong personal bias.
    4. DR Hughes repeatedly justifies the toxic patterns of behaviour by Amber and altogether dismisses what suffering Johnny clearly had to endure as though it holds no weight. This discredits her professional clinical judgment as an objective practitioner.

This psychologist is in the radical line of affirmation therapy, if you are paying for therapy or psychiatric care believe me when I tell you to run as fast as you possibly can and seek better treatment. They will tell you what you want to hear, diagnose you in the most positive frame or in such a way that you get to absolve yourself with victimhood, and affirm you into an early psychological grave that you frankly are unlikely ever to recover from.

Dr. Hughes was the most unprofessional "doctor" I've ever seen in a court room. She stated every opinion of hers and her colleagues that favored Heard as verifiable fact and with an odd anti-male feel to all of it, basically on more than one occasion excusing Heards actions, even violent ones, simply because she was female, and Depp was male. I turned it on partially into her testimony not knowing who she was, and I honestly thought it was perhaps Heard's mother or like a close family friend who was just blindly defending her loved one and believing everything she said. Many times, she stated things as if she was there, as if she had witnessed it first-hand...when it was all just what Heard had told her or other psychologists. I was really surprised the judge let it go on without some kind of warning to Heard's legal counsel or to Dr. Hughes herself.
