      It's hard to believe AH has ever been hurt a day in her life. If she ever does get hurt, she runs the risk of no one believing her. She obviously has spent time trying to set Johnny up. Never having had a broken nose. Only saying Johnny broke it. What a nasty allegation causing him lost contracts. She is gloating here thinking she discredited this intelligent woman Dr Curry for one small mistake. At least she said it was hard to remember something after 250 + cases. We will soon find out what the jury thinks.

    I am so glad Dr. Curry broke this down the way she did. I have PTSD and the things that she said were functional signs of PTSD are indeed true. I take 4 medications a day to function at all. During a relapse, I can’t leave the house. I have nightmares and night sweats and scream in my sleep despite being medicated. It makes me incredibly angry to see someone take on a disease that is so debilitating and use it as a way to pin DV on a spouse. It just adds to the stigma that is present in our society. Thank you Doctor for speaking on our behalf because we matter.

Lots of us shut off and don't react the way you'd think someone would act. As this lady says she's basically got too much ptsd to actually have it. I know people are different, but I like to think the reactions from PTSD victims are quite along the same line. And I can confirm Amber doesn't have PTSD. You don't look at your abuser so daringly like Amber does here

      It's a diagnosis I've been given, although I believe it was a generous diagnoses that resulted from my (then) 2 year old daughter having cancer. I definitely don't have to manage it on a daily basis now that she's a (mostly) healthy 10 year old, but I can appreciate what you're saying. Even the thought of a Children's Hospital ambulance will cause me to tear up. Seeing one, especially seeing a family vehicle following close behind, will make me so emotional, I will, without fail, have to pull my vehicle over and compose myself. Because of that, I have empathy for someone who's survived DV and has a breakdown when something triggers their PTSD about the situation. This is why I don't, for even a second, believe AHs story. Her actions aren't consistent with what I know to be true.

    • @annabees
      @annabees 2 года назад +2

      on that I disagree. Hopefully, as Dr Hughes badly explained, a lot of people with PTSD function quite well for the outside world. I think they call it high functioning PTSD. The issue here is that neither of them talked about this. Dr Curry because from her results in the test Heard can't be one, and Dr Hughes because (I guess) she doesn't even know there's a difference... The many issue with Dr Hughes explaining this was (in my opinion) when she said that suddenly relapse kicks in and people deal with it. I was like... isn't the fact of NOT being able to deal with it, at least for a time, the definition of relapse/flashbacks?

    • @handkmommy
      @handkmommy 2 года назад +3

      @@annabees I have PTSD and actually talked about this in a post on FB. Dr. Curry hit the nail right on the head. All the paperwork can look like a person has PTSD. However, the true indicator is function. People with PTSD have problems with job commitments, alcoholism, depression. They function poorly. That’s how the diagnosis is made and treated. You can learn to cope with a lot of things, but when you have a retraumatizing relapse you’ll be more like Britney Spears. I guess what Im ultimately trying to say is that PTSD is not subtle. That’s why it takes people out.

      Agree because relapase can't be "brave through" and PTSD is definitely not subtle. I hate that people suffer from this & hope yours will lessen 🤗
      Disagree because I understood from other sources high functionning PTSD might be a thing, so analyzing careers and "external signs" of depression can be deceptive. And agree again because anyways, talking 1:1 during hours to someone while being a PTSD specialist should bring absolutely no doubt. That's what I meant saying Dr Curry ruled out PTSD altogether ;)

    The issue here is that people like Amber Heard think that it is what you *say* that matters, and not how you *act*. This is clear in so many areas of Amber Heard's life... She says one thing, but does another. She says she's sad, but doesn't cry. She says she's traumatized, but is composed, calculating, even arrogant, and shows contempt and disdain for anyone who doesn't react to her the way she wants them to. She says Johnny Depp was her soulmate, but she was sleeping with other guys in his home. Her actions and behavior don't demonstrate that she is someone who suffers from anything other than Borderline and Histrionic Personality Disorders. The fact that she continues to double down on this false victimhood even after her claims were found, in a court of law, to be without merit shows how truly pathological this behavior really is for her.

It really helps in showing Amber relying on lies to present her case, she literally referenced a rumor and used that to justify her punching Johnny when claiming he was about to push her sister down the stairs. Even if that scenario were completely true, it wouldn’t make much sense to punch someone that was about to push someone down the stairs. You would probably want to push the perpetrator away from the victim or vice versa.

This is made even more obvious when you compare how she answered questions, to that of how her counterpart, Dr. Hughes, did. Dr. Hughes seemed to answer and react like she was somehow, personally, involved in the situation. The way she acted like she was being personally attacked anytime Dr. Curry disagreed with her professional findings/opinions.

    I rarely left the house, I only went out if planned and necessary, suicidal thoughts were rampant, and this went on intensely for over 2 years.
    I struggled to hold a full time job down and the triggers were/are constant.
    I have had to find part time employment and work for myself a few hours a week to supplement this.
    I’m still in therapy and on medications to allow me to function better.
    And at this time both therapy and medications are likely to be for many more years. 8 years and counting.
    Having these diagnoses have allowed me to research how I can manage them better, using a holistic approach.
    and it’s still really difficult to not be triggered by people, places, songs, comments, smells, soooo many things.
    ah does not have ptsd. And I’ve try to apply the ‘everyone’s journey is different’ approach.
    JD however, displays many of the little things amongst the obvious things.

Most of her work was beautifully done, except the most recent which was cheekbone implants. You can actually see them through her very pale skin. It helps explain the fake bruises on her cheeks. On her thin face, the implants are too big. But the nose, eyes, lips, jaw, cheeks, teeth, Botox, eyebrows, etc…were excellent work. I wonder about her insecurity to have so much done. She was naturally very attractive. But guarantee that If she was punched in the face with large rings, her cheek implants would have been displaced. She's so good. I mean, the way she delineates axiomatic fact from biased fiction comes across as utterly convincing and incontrovertible. She doesn't seem like she has an axe to grind on a personal level (although you can tell she's irked on a professional level by the *lack* of professionalism displayed by Dr. Hughes) and just wants to highlight the stark nature of the dichotomy of their respective testing methods with regards to suitability and comprehensiveness.
    Sure, if I was Amber's team, I would have pointed out the enormous sums of money charged by Dr. Curry (partly as, aside from pointing out she's not board-certified, there's literally no other way to undermine her) but you have to say she earned every cent, and anyone with the money to hire her from now on - providing they're innocent of course! - will have her at the top of their list of experts to retain.
    She's unshakeable, immediately convincing and compelling to listen to, knows *exactly* what shes talking about and testifying to, isn't interested in flouting the ethics of her profession (unlike ALL of Amber's Psych 'experts'), and holds the attention of the people in the room. I'm no expert but that's gotta be priceless to someone in Johnny's position or similar.
    Well done, Dr. Curry, I learned a lot from you and it was incredibly satisfying watching you disassemble the biases and incompetence of Dr. Hughes.
