I’ve played with the kyries, here’s my impressions: Glinerva: Really splashy. Played well, Glinerva can blank 1-2 enemy turns over the course of a game or at least force bad engagements. But she is just a 5/3/3 at the end of the day. A Kilkorax: Really fun! I love suping her up with the Vikings and her sister its fun. But god is she way too limited. She basically can’t move heroes, she can’t move your own units. If just some of those restrictions were lifted this could be a great figure. C Mielki: Incredible figure, but fragile. You need to be careful, but she can easily jump in and trounce figures. A Queen Qhyrion: I love this figure but the low speed and inconsistent ability really really hurts her. She either needed more move or for them to commit to the bit and given her 4 range. D 😢 Xiamara: This figure exists to cover for Mielki’s weakness. Is that worth it? With time to set up oh yes. But often times you’re going to just want to play Mielki as your last 100 points. B
I think Glinerva is going to wind up being a total S tier. The fact that she can use that aura without needing to use a turn on her is nuts. I probably agree that Queen Qhyrion is too expensive but ... I don't care cause that's the coolest mini in AoA so far. I think Stealth Flying is worth losing 1 move, my bigger problem is only having 4 life. I'm planning to use her with the VC Crypt Guardians, and I'm quite excited about that.
Glinerva could absolutely be an S-tier figure, especially depending on your opponent's list. It is tricky to gauge the power level of her auro though. I'm certainly curious how the community will rate her once people have had the chance to test her out. I agree that Queen Qhyrion is a phenomenally designed model 👌 What are the VC Crypt Guardians?
@@frogofwargaming Crypt Guardians are custom units by C3V that were designed to make Sudema more of a viable character. I'm gonna add Qhyrion to that army cause the Guardians are able to bond with any Queen! It'll be slow, but should at least be a lot of fun.

That's a bit harsh! I think that the new Eisenek stuff looks super strong, although I haven't been able to test any of it yet. But I do agree that some of the wave 3 releases look nuts
@@frogofwargaming Nah, Bears are super strong. like Iron Lich + Necrotechs vs Bears + Alastair I take bears everyday and yet the combo cost less than the Eisenek combo. Bears are 4 and have that supplementary defense which is very helpful, with 3 defense Necrotech often lose both their lives in one attack which just hurts so much.
@@frogofwargaming I've played multiples games with and vs Necrotech+Iron lich already and it's high tier in then new stuff, fast and can catch heroes, but can't compete vs massed commons from the old stuff. The combo just cost too much.
Yeah, the bears certainly are strong! Not to spoil our next tier-list, but I think that Alastair is busted as hell, so I don't know if he's a good gage to compare other units against.
I finally got my painted wave 2 and once again the paint jobs are really bad. That coupled with their design choices and high prices pretty much removes any further interest in the series for me. I am going to stick with my legacy figures that look much better and thematically work. The construction workers just don't cut it.....
The sub-par paint jobs paired with the massive price hikes have certainly hurt the relaunch of this game... Those are the big reasons why I haven't purchased any new Heroscape yet, despite being an almost lifelong fan of the game. And while I do think that most of the legacy figures look better than the new stuff, I really like the Eisenek units. I think they look neat, aesthetically and gameplay-wise 👌

That's fair! Although, not many things in the game can complete against mobs of common squads. Quantity will always beat quality eventually!
