    One unit I notice a lot of people underestimate is the Wolves of Badru. If i did a top ten, they'd have to be on there, they are just really *REALLY* good.

    Surprised not to see Major Q9 or Raelin (v1) on this list.

    One of my favorite things about Heroscape is everyone always has a couple units that they like the best and always seem to find a way into their armies. It was cool seeing some of yours. A couple that id add that we often use too are the Krav Maga, Syvarris, and for my personally Cyprien Esenwein. And Deadeye Dan is always drafted. He is a boss lol.

    I found that the greenscale warriors combined with Charos is awesome because 1. When it's the Greenscale's turn, Charos also gets a turn, 2. They look really cool, and 3. You can use Greenscale's with any lizard king, but Charos is kinda OP.

    After reviewing the heroscapers.com power rankings, I feel stupid for putting dead eye dan on my list. However, I still like dead eye dan, and he was one of my first heroscape figures. He also still think he has his uses. Not really sure why he is so low on the power rankings.

      I'm not an expert, but i'm guessing its because he cannot do much in one turn, just not move and have a 50-50 chance of dealing a would, which has a hard time competing against sqaudscape.

      I'm a bit surprised he's ranked so low, get him on elevation and his main power does wonders. Especially against some of the more overused squads that have defensive powers like the Krav. For 60 points he's a great choice to mop up little guys from a distance. I mean... They ranked him as low as the obsidian guards and these guys are completely useless unless you have a billion volcarren wasteland sets !

    had a friend (who played for the very first time) play Syvarris tonight, with height advantage and the attack glyph, Syvarris was able to decimate any figure within that HUGE 9 range radius of him.

      @greenlee7smythe 9 лет назад

      yes, it is VERY annoying. my buddy always drafts him and he is a pain in my ass to take out because he keeps him well guarded. but i do manage to destroy him, with the attacking figure usually destroyed afterwards but worth it.

    my top 10 figures:
    10-Estivara (her venom damage can destroy a figure easily if you keep rolling for venom damage)
    09-Sonya Esenwein (She mainly boosts her husbands chilling touch)
    08-Morsbane (that Rod of Negation is no joke! He can negate a person's powers/abilities or destroy them with a lucky roll)
    07-Jotun (He has the highest normal attack in the game [8] and can easily take down stronger heroes like Charos in a few good rolls.)
    06-Sudema (Yes she costs a lot, and has low life, but her stare of stone is also nothing to joke about. For a squad figure, you only need a 7 or higher and for a hero you need a 17 or higher and if you get it, you can literally litter the battlefield with stone statues. [we have a house rule that any figure turned to stone by her remains on the board and u just place a wound marker on the figures base and they must remain there unmoved for the duration of the game. makes it more interesting.])
    05-Kelda the Kyrie Warrior (She's basically the team's nursemaid and can heal a hero from the brink of death, though if you roll a 1 it might kill said hero, but worth the risk)
    04-Raelin the Kyrie Warrior (i prefer the SOTM sculpt over ROTV because of the stupid stick she holds, plus her hair makes her look more beautiful. ROTV gives 2 extra dice...which is a HUGE help, but only a range of 4. SOTM has a range of 6 so she can hang back out of the line of fire and still provide protection but with only 1 extra dice...plus she has a whirlwind attack which is nice.)
    03-Sgt. Drake Alexander [SOTM] (He has 1 extra live over his ROTV counterpart and also an extra defense die. His attack of 6 is a beast along with grapple gun and Thorian Speed makes him almost impossible to take out by ranged figures. and with Kelda and Raelin backing him up, even melee takes a while before he falls.
    02-Cyprien Esenwein (A, i love Vampires and B, he, like his wife, daughter, and brother, can life drain, which heals his wounds for every figure he destroys. He has stealth flying, and his Chilling touch is a game changer. I've been able to inflict 6 wounds on Charos with him. His wife adds to his chilling touch and makes him a huge headache for my enemy.)
    and number one and my favorite figure in all of heroscape.....
    01-Braxas (She's a dragon and a Queen! She is a squad figure's worst nightmare with her poisonous acid breath. She has 8 lives and a normal attack of 5. She really is like her bio says a black dancing ribbon of death. Her poisonous acid breath works just like Sudema's stare of stone but for squad figures she needs an 8 or higher and she can do it up to 3 times per turn, provided they are within 4 clear sight spaces. If you add Finn and Thorgrimm next to her that boosts her stats up to attack 6 and defense 4, plus also add Raelin and her defense is either 5 or 6 depending on which Raelin you use...throw in Kelda to heal any wounds and my opponents fear her and dispise her. [i see why her bio states Mimring, Charos, Nilfheim, and Zelrig all fear and HATE her!] she's very dangerous and stops annoying squads in their tracks like zombies, deathreavers, and nakita agents. I call her my "Braxas of Evil!" she's one bad ass bitch! HOW did Vydar manage to draft her, i'll never know..but you'd think she'd be under Utgar's army. I'm glad. Vydar's army suits her. tell me what u guys think?

      Im a big Cyprien Esenwein guy myself. One of those characters I always gravitate to. Guess it is because I have played several games where he single handedly defeated my opponents armies. He is just such a powerful character.

    Enjoyed your video. The figures you chose seemed to be the older ones. Do you have many of the "newer" figures? I'm just getting started with Heroscape and I've been picking up figs on ebay where I can. The later sets are obviously much cheaper. For instance, I just looked up zetacron on ebay and it was more than 65 bucks! Youch! So, any thoughts on the later wave figures like the D&D ones? Thanks for the vid.

      @MrHscape  10 лет назад

      Heroscape is a wonderful game that went out of production many years ago, that is why it is so expensive. Luckily, me and my friend were able to buy many of the figures when they first came out. My suggestion to you would be to maybe buy some of the D&D figures when they are cheaper on ebay, but also check cragslist every now and then. If you buy heroscape off cragslist in bulk it is much cheaper. Also the first heroscape wave, (Mallidon's Prophecy) is some what cheaper even on ebay. Thanks for watching our videos!

    Well, there are a few figures that probably deserve spots here that didn't make it coughQ9cough, but these are just your favorites, so it's totally your right to rank them how you like them. Reavers are just annoying, I hate any game that involves them, just draws the game out.
    My ten favorites (probably):
    10. Templar Knights: Mostly for the sculpts. They might be my favorite sculpts of all scape. I've only used them once or twice, and they definitely die too easily for their point cost.
    9. Zetacron: He is just so darn swingy for 60 points and 2 deadly shot attack dice. He can seriously hurt any hero with average defense.
    8. Airborne Elite: Just for the drop power and 8 range. The drop can be a liability, I've had games that go for 4-5 rounds and I'd lose before getting them to drop.
    7. Krug: KRUG SMASH! When he has 7 wounds on him, he's rolling at least 9 dice at his target, and attacking TWO times! Always nice to have heroes with two attacks. I've killed Finn and MDG in the same turn with an angry 7 wound Krug before, lol.
    6. Agent Carr: Three words: Sword. Of. Reckoning. He's too sexy for his shirt. And for Vydar. And for his sword (well, maybe not.) And for his gun. How does every heroscape set keep from exploding, due to how awesome he is? Truthfully, he dies too fast, especially for being "the master of the Krav," but if he ever gets next to his target, it's going to die.
    5. Aubrien Archers: You had them in another video. Frenzy is just so fun, and 7 range makes it easy to find targets, even though they are on the weak side.
    4. Fen Hydra: Beastly unit. Plus it looks totally menacing. He has some cool powers that I think just make it so perfect.
    3. Isamu: He is the world's number one 10 point ninja. He is basically always in my army builds. Vanishing on a 9 or better is pretty easy to get, he can be a total nuisance, and sometimes he just dies on the first attack he faces.
    2. Zombies of Morindan: Nothing is cooler than eating the brains of your buddies' units! Attack of 2 sucks for a melee unit though, and makes it hard to kill units to get zombies to rise again. 2-3 zombies can sometimes bring back the horde on a couple of lucky 2 skull rolls.
    1. Ne-Gok-Sa: Oh man, the memories of this guy. I've mindshackled heroes back to back (two 20s in a row!) and in another game I shackled a Shurrak on OM 3, and then on the initiative switch, totally wrecked Carr and Syvarris with a five skull sweeping sword roll with Shurrak. Plus, NGS bonds with romans, they are a decent squad.

      That is an excellent list for sure. A lot of those figures would have been on my list if I had owned them at the time when I made this video. Two weeks ago my friend and I received a huge boost to our collection when we purchased wave 1-7 for $50 of a kind but unaware man from craigslist. I am thinking of perhaps doing a top ten list update at some point. =)

    I think major Q9 is better than zetacron. it's just my opinion, he have 4 life, 5 move, 8 range, 4 attack, 7 defense, and his special ability is really useful in battles. if you combine Major Q9 with Laglor, add 2 more in range, so he have 10 of range. that's op

      Ahhh, I kinda hate Q9 now. He is too over powered. We didn't have Cyprien when I made this video either. Cyprien is now one of my favorite figures!

    • @EndsonLawrence
      @EndsonLawrence 10 лет назад

      Ya, i can totally agree with Q9 being overpowered as pretty much every time someone had Q9, they almost always won. With being tanky, great squad killing power and above average range all in one package, he pretty much carried the game for who ever used him.

      +General Hellkite All you need is 3-4 squads of Warforged Soldiers. I didn't have any D&D Heroscape sets, but when i saw their cards i rushed to ebay and pick up 3 squads of them. THEY REK!

      Kinda his preference, also the game is all about luck, I took out krug on the 2nd turn of the 2nd round with dead eye Dan's Ullar enhanced rifle, small chance of it happening, but then again all luck. He's my third favorite figure, first being knights of Weston.
