I truly don’t understand all the negative comments?? If I pay money to go see a tribute act, I would want them to be as close to the original as possible. I have seen ‘The Bootleg Beatles’ perform live once, and the cool thing for a young guy like me, who wasn’t alive when The Beatles were playing concerts, is that I get a feeling of how it felt like to be at one of their shows. The costumes, the atmosphere, the songs, the sound, etc... It makes it all very realistic, and if you just shot down the logical part of your brain for a few hours, it feels like you have been transported back in time to one of the concerts of your favourite artists.
The day you understand negative comments means you are as bitter and as pathetic as the people who write them. Hopefully you'll never ever fully understand negative comments. Certain people just shit on everything. It's beyond comprehension.
It’s not really negative comments per se, just a preference of individuals. They’re all very talented obviously, the whole dressing up and making themselves look like the artist or band is not necessary. That’s just my opinion, as you have your preference and opinion.
@@boxychubbo6922 I’m all for paying tribute for your favorite group or artist, dressing like them and trying to act like them is kinda weird to me. I focus on how they are musically.
Great comment! I agree 100%...the whole look of it added to the dead on musical replication just adds to the experience of seeing it in person and the visual aspects of the performance 👍👍👍
@@klaushansen6433 some people have it...NOBODY should pass others stuff off as theirs, but this is EXCELLENT work, and he gives homage...it appears channeled and authentic to me, if I could "copycat" like this, Id do it ALL DAY...I would die to play like Stevie...
@@thestcroixkid Yes - Tommy play fine, that's for sure. He is a great guitarist. But why is he not just himself? He looks like an actor in a show ;-) pretending to be someone, that he not is......but okay it is all a show. And it is a fine show!
I've been playing guitar for 40 years even played in a Stevie Ray Vaughan tribute band and I can say this guy nails it pretty much better than anybody else. He also has his own bag of tricks which is very cool. Tommy can play just about anything rock and roll or blues.
I'm also a 40 year guitar player who's covered some Stevie songs. I say Tommy has played Stevie better than Stevie. That's what Chet Atkins said about Tommy Emmanuel playing his songs. Specifically, I left a comment on one of Tommy's video's, I think he covered that tune cleaner than I ever heard Stevie play it. As a guy who listens to specific licks, these are as clear and precise as I've ever heard. ruclips.net/video/NQC7v8r1Y3Q/видео.html
SRV died 34 years ago, gone forever to the heavens. Thankfully we have this solid af tribute band. I never saw SRV and Double Trouble, but a would pay good money to see these guys In a heartbeat. Not even a question.
I was about a minute into the clip and wondering who the hell were playing the bass and drums when I realized this wasn't SRV. But he can sure play and as per many other comments, he has nailed the SRV tone. Love it.
this is what you call "channeling" , and from the comments Tommy's getting better at it every day , a real tribute to Stevie and as he can't be here I'll bet his approval is
My goodness, it took me some time to figure out what's going on here! Look, feel, sound, everything spot on! Okay, the looks don't matter to me, but the guitar playing is really excellent, I didn't miss anything. Great performance!
As someone who came in to this expecting to hate it, I have to say VERY well done. Many have tried and most don't even come close. You are not f-ing around! Great tribute!
Tears of joy........sheer brilliance....the whole band has total commtment and sync as you blaze your way through this SRV Double Trouble iconic classic........bring it !
Lets see haters he has his own CD out in Europe, MTV Europe interviews him when he visits home, he has opened for the likes of Johnny Winter. So what have y'all done but waste your time criticizing and hating. That's why Tommy has a peace inside of him because he is doing what he likes. Sorry if this has been already been posted.
Certainly my friend your playing guitar should be applaused and your show too. Félicitation Monsieur on the guitar, and also the rest of your band too, you are very good. Bravo, et à la prochaine de la part de Dani l au Québec
Woa! I've been trying to learn this tune lately and never saw Tommy in the list - never heard of him - but a couple nights ago I see several TK links, clicked this one, and had to take a double jaw-drop look at him as his resemblance is uncanny and his playing, Strat tone, body language, etc. are equally remarkable!
Great GREAT performance. SRV is one of my absolute biggest idols. And it makes me happy that he’s spirit lives on in many ways. This man must love Stevie’s music and he is incredible skilled with the guitar. Loved it all the way ❤️❤️✊✊❤️❤️
Didn’t even read the title of the video. Just clicked because I like SRV. I could not believe the video quality. Then I saw him messing with his pedals and I was like, hmm never seen SRV do that. THEN I realized this was not double trouble. My gosh man, you fricken nailed it!
This guy is great! Watched several of his video's. However....when you are as good as he is it's time to pick up where Stevie left off and start writing his own material. If he already has some original songs, please someone share the link. It takes a lot of work to get this good, my hat's off!!!
That's exactly what I was explaining to my hard-headed, negative minded cousin of mine. Whom by the way is a devout S.R.V. Fanatic! "It's people like Tommy Kitana that are keeping the S.R.V. Awesome dude. That is some serious talent there. First time I saw this I thought I was watching somebodys home video of SRV just jamming out somewhere. But that's definately not Double Trouble so
You are incredible man! I saw your name on a comment from another video far away and thought I'd check you out. Insanely accurate! Great tone, look, feel, and attitude!
I know I’m a huge SRV fan when I can tell you which concert of Stevie’s that Tommy pulled licks from. He even used the 2:40 - 2:55 part from the warm up video of Stevie when he’s wearing the long cheetah coat after just waking up
I gave Tommy a SRV promo poster from 1981 from Fitzgerald's bar in Houston & a Buddie magazine w\SRV on the cover. I have ticket stubs & guitar mags news clippings, i hope some day i can part w\them. I'ts all yours.

this guy would be perfect for a stevie ray vaughan movie though!
Wrong. Watch interviews of him. He has a very strong foreign accent. Awesome player though
Your watching the wrong interviews dude. Tommy K doesn't have a foreign accent.
And???
Not so much any more he's got the American accent down pretty well now
I like how tommy actually commented and u didn't even realize, by the way what's up Tommy I'm your biggest fan you ooze the blues as did srv
