    I miss the in depth videos like the Portuguese Amethyst video.
    Love seeing you make every pavilion and crown facets and showing off what each new step achieved.

    Never appreciated gemstones until I got my own tanzanite ring. Your videos really shed light (pun intended) on gem cutting and the labour involved in getting them to shine so nicely. Please continue making these videos, super educational and fun to watch!

    This is fascinating. I like the longer videos when you talk through the challenges and differences between gem stones.
    Would also be keen to know what the stones would be worth before and after being cut.

    Absolutely beautiful workmanship! I especially liked the fire opal!
    Question: what happens to the “stone” dust? Does it accumulate in the bottom of the tray? What do you do with all the dust?
    That would make a very interesting video 😃

    Hi! Thanks for this videos. If you don't mind me asking: those rocks are not cheap, when you were learning the craft did you practice with glass or quartz?

    • @stuartgems7593
      @stuartgems7593  3 года назад

      yes rough gems can be very expensive I started with Quartz and quickly quickly moved on to garnet and topaz as you can find it a a reasonable price quartz is difficult to polish and can and frequently chip while cutting or polishing this can be very disheartening and leave you wondering wither it is you the machine or the rough as a new cutter it is not a pleasant place to be if I can be of any further help drop me a line
