It's great to see companies listen to reviewers like your self Chris👍👍. But the price hike up is totally unjustified I think. Because most improvements have to do with quality control. Your reviews are always very informative Chris and consumer oriented👏👏👏
I really thought at least they would have given it much better brakes and fix the battery rattling. But nope and the big price hike is a real shame I guess part of it is to do with getting now a proper CE cert for it.
I really like these reviews, almost perfect, but I would like to see a full fold and unfold, and also how these bikes are like to carry when folded. Still, great job overall, best ebike reviewer on RUclips
I ordered the a20f+ on their website for me and my wife because it was cheaper. And ADO send me 2 a20F xe's , apparently they have a promotion that if you order the a20 + you get the xe for the cheaper price of the a20F if you ordered them with the fenders and the lock. I'm sooo happy 😊 🥳
Excellent review and video as always. Watched all your electric bike ones before buying mine. I have the a20+ , think you've over looked the €350 price difference between the original and xe. Xe might be better , but not €350 better. The break calipers alone can be brought for €40.
Yes it’s mentioned it’s expensive. The price hike isn’t justified. By the way I recommend the Zoom hydraulic but cable pull brakes. More powerful and a simple swap.
@@TechtabletsGood review, I know its not for me now - Would you be so kind to point me in the direction of an e bike under 1000£ that would be suitable for riding for delivery companies like Just eats or Deliveroo. I have been looking for weeks now, very close to buying one of these but the range is just not great.
I’ve got the original A20+ and really happy with it! I can’t see the ‘improvements’ being worth the extra money! I also noticed that the front light doesn’t look as bright and there’s no beeper. The improvement I’d like to see is a magnet, to keep it closed when lifting into the boot
@@lqqkitslory How does it feel when used without the power? I want to buy it but want to use it without power most of the time for exercise purposes. But for long distance, I will use throttling when feel too tired. What do you think? From ADO customer team got the suggestion to buy the ADO 20 air. But, there is no suspension or gear.
@@lazysoftwaredeveloper2058 when on the flat it’s absolutely fine but it’s heavy on an incline but you can very quickly and easily, switch the power off and on! I mainly try to stick to using assistance 1 but as soon as I go uphill, I switch up. I’m really happy with it
This bike is excellent once you change to decent pedals, a new rear sprocket giving you a higher & lower ratio and also Zoom hydraulic/cable disc brakes, which are only £40 a pair & transform the braking. You're being very polite in this review, the brakes that come with are terrible!
Way better than the first A20 model I reviewed that bottomed out all the time and was far too soft. It doesn't happen at all now so great they fixed it and improved other things. Seems they do listen.
How comfortable is this over longer distances? I've heard folding ebikes are great for the 'last mile', but my commute would be about 13km each way, on a mix of flat and slight inclines (rural to urban, not all city streets)
Hi! Is the grey scheme a sticker or is it painted? I asked for the white A16+, but since they are out of stock they offer me a GREY A16xe. I don't like the orange writings and I would like to know if they are removable. Thanks and great review!
THREE key questions: 1) Can unwanted intrusive pedal-assist be totally/permanently deactivated? Throttle-only power please! 2) Why is no rear luggage rack included? 3) Why is real range less than hslf the 80km claimed ?! Surely the manufacturers/sellers should be prosecuted for deception and making very exaggerated, false and misleading claims ! If a cake producer claims a pack contains 8 cakes but it only contains 4 cakes the cake producer would be prosecuted and fined for misleading consumers. Paul G
Don’t buy! Mine came with a faulty construction. The right pedal unscrew itself. I have tried to get service department to fix it since may. The problem persists despite two returns to their shop. Biggest mistake I’ve done when buying a bike!

To ride😢
Bike arrived today
Nice review and the bike seems good
Nice bro keep it up. Why no reviews of the super73 ebikes?
cos they're way overpriced and they probably don't send him sample units
@@jf9979 yeah maybe but they look amazing hope he can get one.
They don’t I’ve asked and they said no.
Isn’t it great when companies listen 👂
Sure is, but it's a shame the price went up.
@@Techtablets a double edged sword indeed.
Tbf the improvements aren't that great especially considering the price rise. Your better off with the A20+
Ima walk
The a20+ now is their XE.
Hi Chris, it's on offer? 849 euro's?! On their website...I think it's a great offer...
Can you remember if you tested this in 250w mode?
No 350w mode I'm 90% sure it was on that I later learned this from ado.
I bought fenders cant find how to aply them..help
Very nice review! Is Air 20 OK for me 105kg 187 cm? Will it help a bit on the 5degrees hills?
the chain looks loose, any issues with it while riding?
How is the front suspension, has that improved or still too short?

@@Techtablets Ok great. I ended up buying the ADO A20+ version. Do you know if the fork was already fixed on that one too?
Nice video, can you review the A16
Can you unlock the speed like the A20
Yes you can
@@Techtabletshow?
What’s the different with + version?
What are improvement ?
No big battery like engwe c20 pro

Not so much for such long rides. U would rather a 700C/28" city bike style for that.
@@Techtablets Thanks. Have you any views on the ADO 300C? That might make more sense for me.
Unfortunately not they never sent that model to me but they are sending the new city ebike.

This or the Fiido D11?
The D11 is also nice and now cheaper
I have to buy the battery separately or is included?
It’s included
That intro reminds me of mkbhd
can anyone tell me the size of the battery 410mm or 430mm?
thank you
Hey Chris
Hey!
Does it have throttle?
No this model doesn't have the throttle due to EU law.
You can get the international version which had throttle and top speed of 35km/h
Most manufacturers calculating range with 60kg rider at low speed 15km/hour and hard pedaling
they locked my LCD to 20mph, i change the LCD i got 28mph, haha

Brakes are terrible 😢
Unsafe to ride
I'm mega confused that the crap design on their website doesn't match the sleek and simple design you actually got.
So new brakes and mudguards but its 400 dollars more wtf
Pretty much
Dòng xe ado dùng pin 36v quá yếu, bây giờ phải hạ công suất động cơ xuống 250w mới hợp lý
Most use 36v it's only the more powerful ebikes that use 48v. 250W is standard but ADO claims it is 350W peak.
