I can remember Semisonic being really popular in England during the late '90s. Never knew what happened to them after the Feeling Strangely Fine album, but then I learned that Dan Wilson co-wrote Adele's 'Someone Like You', so he must be alright for a few quid.

Dan has paid his dues. Back in the 80's, if Trip Shakespeare was playing and it wasn't more than a 5 hour drive, my friends and I were there. That band toured and toured, released 5 albums, and gave amazing performances every time I saw them. I was happy that Dan and John found some commercial success with Semi Sonic. It was overdue. And the fact that Dan (and Gary Louris from the Jayhawks) were all over that Adele album is even better!!

I know right I couldn't agree more. I wish this band wasn't a hit wonder with Closing time which is a great song. But come on this band has other songs that are just as good as that one. This band is such a gem.

I can remember Semisonic being really popular in England during the late '90s. Never knew what happened to them after the Feeling Strangely Fine album, but then I learned that Dan Wilson co-wrote Adele's 'Someone Like You', so he must be alright for a few quid.

Dan has paid his dues. Back in the 80's, if Trip Shakespeare was playing and it wasn't more than a 5 hour drive, my friends and I were there. That band toured and toured, released 5 albums, and gave amazing performances every time I saw them. I was happy that Dan and John found some commercial success with Semi Sonic. It was overdue. And the fact that Dan (and Gary Louris from the Jayhawks) were all over that Adele album is even better!!

Feeling Strangely Fine was a cracking album. Such an underrated band.
I know right I couldn't agree more. I wish this band wasn't a hit wonder with Closing time which is a great song. But come on this band has other songs that are just as good as that one. This band is such a gem.
