My younger brother and I used to love this song , sometimes at ramdom I would be in a different room and sing "don't be scared" and he'd replied from the other room "I'm not scared," it was like our song. Those were simpler times. Now we are both older and just like the Gallagher brother's, so many fights and problems drove us apart and we have not talked to each other in years. I miss it when we were able to get along and sing beautiful songs together, but sometimes staying apart is the only way we can demonstrate love to each other.

This song is my sister's and my favourite Oasis song. This song helped my sister a lot. She was fighting depression and attempted suicide twice. But when she first listened to this song her life changed. And now she happily married with 3 kids. And I'm a proud brother and an uncle. Thank you Oasis! Thanks a lot!

Imagine Oasis was around now and released this song this year, would break records all over the place. Incredible song.
I have a feeling that the people of today wouldn't 'get' a band like Oasis. What with growing up listening to crap like 'The X Factor' and other manufactured rubbish. Which, by the way, can't even come up with something original by themselves (most manufactured pop bands rehash old music and put some 'new' lyrics that they needed about 6 or 7 songwriters to come up with).
They wouldn't get recognized in this day and age unfortunately, It's a different Era but you are right, We need positive messages Oasis gave us more than ever

Towards the end of 2017 I stood the fuck up, dusted myself off, took responsibility for my shit and took the necessary steps back to living. Earlier this year, I was on holiday with my partner, this song came on, randomly, and I remembered 2017 all over again. Never give up. Never stop fighting. Just keep going. I am living proof you can live again. The song was right.
2021 was that year for me, I thought I would never see the light again. But 2 years later I feel like myself again. But I never want to go back to that dark place I never knew existed.

This song is simplistic but powerful. I think the "Get up, come on" part is the most poignant part and makes the song. Liam's whiney achy vocal suits the mood, it's like trying to get someone out of a grief stricken depression... or get yourself up.
