    Chrysler technicians made the price on these types of oil pans go up. 🔨 🔨 🔨.

    Underaged tool for this is a plastic scraper meant for taking wheel weights off. They're thick so they don't usually break and do well at separating. Will never damage any parts and are cheap to replace as I usually sharpen them on a grinder they get shorter over time

    Flat Rate Master.. I like that Lisle tool, I will be looking into that one. Can't tell ya how many hours wasted trying to straighten out oil pans and valve cover because they are bent and leaking because the customer didn't want to spend the money to replace them.. I won't do the job now unless it's replaced.

    I just get a new pan. puncture the one in the car with an air hammer and shove a big old pry bar in it and heave it off, most oil pans r required to be replaced now after removal anyways.

    Ford 2.7 v6 plastic pans are auwfull, even following the Ford sib it’s nearly impossible to get them to seal,we had one that we had to order a custom gasket for and that finally sealed it.

    As the Lisle blade seems to be screwed on, can you unbolt it and turn it upside down, so the blade curves downward, like the OEM tool?

    Hey long time viewer of your channel. Very good content. I have a question about how techs get paid.
    I work at a shop. My flag rate is 32.32/ hr., I do good work, my manager tells me I'm getting transferred to a smaller store and the master tech there sucks. So I'll take over, they tell me my pay will change to TOTAL TICKET VALUE. NO one will tell me about it, I feel like I will be getting smaller checks now, do you know about TOTAL TICKET value?
    Thank you.

    • @johnmilner5485
      @johnmilner5485 Год назад

      Hey got a update on your pay plan ? Back in the day total ticket value when I started the split was 50% of the total labor ( I lucked out on my first tech job because the owner still payed that even though it wasn't the norm any longer ) but I doubt that's the case in this situation.
