I need to remove an oil pan that was installed with gasket sealer but no gasket. Can't get it to budge. Even used a propane torch. No luck. Any ideas?

You may be able to drive in thin bladed putty knives in a different locations to try to break the seal.

@@DIYOnTheHouse Being 70 and vision challenges, I discovered 1 regular bolt and 2 recessed bolts I had missed. How could I be so dumb? After removing those a sharpened 1" putty knife worked perfectly!!

@@johnwallacemcclure1143 It happens to the best of us. One time I had a car that the mechanic didn't realize there was a retaining pin on a suspension part and he didn't discover it until he cut the piece off.

Thanks for the reply. In reality, I had actually missed 2 pan bolts. I work underneath on my back, am rather old, and don't always have enough light to really see what I'm doing! But I did finally discover my shortcomings and the pan came off successfully.@@RikuIshmaru

That stuff you put on is the reason why I can't get mine off right now.
