    Okay I just email CS to bring back the refills. I hope you have given them feedback too, especially since you're on their PR list!!!! Let's get our feedback to the companies :)

      heck yes! :) (i am not on their PR list lol, was just through Octoly, but maybe they will see this and reconsider their poor move to take away the refills!)

    I remember the refills were $13 dollars? I wish CS would bring those back. I found the Kate Summerville to be very strong in lavender sent, which I really didn’t like. I returned it.

      I don't recall exactly how much they were, but i remember i first started buying it b/c i felt the value was on point with the refills!!! $13-20 sounds about right! bring back the refills, CS!

    I was looking into powder SPF too and have been interested in Colorscience. However, I tried Derma E’s Sun Protection Mineral Face Powder by Ash Deleon SPF 30 from Ulta and have been liking it so far. Just another option if you’re looking to explore 😊

    Have you tried Brush on Block spf 30? It is similarly priced per volume as Colorescience, although if you buy 2 Brush on Block as a set, you save $10 and you get a bit more product. It has a much nicer/softer/better quality brush, and it is removable so you can wash it. You can turn the brush open/closed to dispense. It has fewer ingredients (which I actually prefer) than Colorescience, and I had a good experience with it. Whrn I decided to try the CS Sunforgettable spf50 in Medium this past month, I noticed immediately that the brush is scratchy and it shed. After about 4-5 days, with the 5th being an especially heavy use day of the Sunforgettable, I noticed 2 horrible cystic acne on my nose and cheek (where I usually never break out), and they got better overnight but flared up again during the next day when I used the Sunforgettable again! That's when I looked at the ingredients on the box for Sunforgettable and noticed it has a form of algae extract. This ingredient is not listed on the website for this product but it IS listed on the pkg. I know the whole "comedogenic ingredients list" is dismissed by some dermatologists, but Lithothamnion Calcareum Extract is an algae extract (typically 5 of 5 rating on list of comedogenic ingredients) that is used in cosmetics as a binder, meaning it makes things stick together. Yay my dead skin cells in my pores got to stick together to feed bacteria!
    It is the 3rd highest in the list of 15 inactive ingredients. I decided to return it because I just don't think it's worth the money for the pretty teal packaging. Oh, and I just looked at the website and it says you can buy refills for the Brush on Block!

      wow this is great info! i'm going to try the brush on block next--if you can get refills, that's definitely the best bet! follow-up video to come......

    I recently went back to using my physicians Formula SPF 30 talc free pressed powder for touching up my makeup throughout the day. It makes the foundation look less shiny as well as blurs the pores while giving me SPF!

    Hi!! I've been using for 2yrs now Peter Thomas Roth, its a mineral sunscreen with Vitamin C & E, I am very happy with it. I use Mineral Fusion make up, I buy them in my local Whole Food Market (Texas) but I haven't seen the sunscreen. I would love to try the Colorescience, everybody talk very good things about it, but is expensive for me. Thank you for the review!!!

    Are you medium or fair in the brush on sunscreen? I’m debating whether I should use the fair as a translucent powder or if it’ll wash me out. I have your skin tone .

    Thanks for the video! I'd love to hear your thoughts about inhaling these powders. Any danger to consider in this regard with regular use over time? I am also a fan of the Brush on Block product that another person mentioned :)

    • @LogicvsLuxury
      @LogicvsLuxury  6 лет назад +1

      well definitely don't inhale them! i am always holding my breath anytime i use sprays / powders as a general rule. i mean, a breath here and there isn't a big issue, but better to avoid getting large amounts inhaled.

    I really enjoyed this video and would love another one like this, mineral powders with a decent amount of spf for touch up. I'm really curious about supergoop and Peter Thomas Roth's brush on spf. Physicians formula mineral wear powder since it's on the more affordable side

    Sorry, but the price of the Colorscience products is insulting. It’s not a matter of having or not having the money, it’s just...why?? Why so much? I’m done supporting the beauty industry with their overpriced BS. I put on my reasonably priced tinted sunscreen before I go out of the house, and avoid the sun as much as I can. The end.

    I like the idea of a setting spray... I might have to see if there's a better one out there

    • @palladio7476
      @palladio7476 6 лет назад

      Grahernandez The problem with sprays is that you would most likely never apply enough to get the SPF claimed. Your face would be dripping wet. LOL

    • @LogicvsLuxury
      @LogicvsLuxury  6 лет назад +1

      totally! i mean, if you're going to use a setting spray, why not one with some benefit of SPF :)

      exactly Karen1Nicola. powders and sprays should only be a secondary method :)

      Karen 1Nicola That spray wrecked havoc on my face! The first ingredient is denatured alcohol and it has rosemary oil as well. Terrible!!!!

    Retinyl Palmitate and retinol shouldn’t be used during pregnancy, as well as Salicylic Acid

    • @bootylicious0802
      @bootylicious0802 6 лет назад

      Poemi10304 why ?

    • @LogicvsLuxury
      @LogicvsLuxury  6 лет назад

      that is correct to be on the safe side. @bottylicious0802, vitamin a derivatives are shown to have harmful reproductive side effects in high doses. to be on the safe side, if you are pregnant, one should discontinue the use of these products. that said, the doses in OTC cosmetic/skincare products have not shown to be an issue (conversely, RX retin-A would be controlled in this situation), but again, better to err on side of safety.
