Why have you set rooting out corruption to the maximum cost? It'd save you 4 ducats a month and having some corruption is better than bankruptcy. Debasing the currency is a good way to get out of a jam without going bankrupt.
@@snomcultist189 there is restarting for an easy game and then there is shitty 10 dev tribe that cant do anything if its gets hammered constantely by bad rng.

When I could finally invade the British, they fucking reinforce meme'd me on almost every fucking tile, I was drunk and ended up crying. My friends have screenshots of my mental breakdown as we all had webcams on. Honestly, still the best night of my life.
At this moment im at 330/363 achievements so far, with more than 5000 hours into the game, and I can wholeheartedly say the "Jihad" achiev had me onto the verge of madness the most out of them all. Watching you get through the same pain is soothing the trauma, the sheer quantity of bad events this country gets is turned to 11 .
No achievement in eu4 has vexed me more than jihad. I have done a wc run as Orissa, hisn kayfa, and even ghazimukh (didn’t finish). There is something unbelievably cursed about Najd and I don’t know what it is. On my best attempt, I conquered most of the mountains in the Middle East, but the old ottoman siege ability blew my threw eight mountain forts. I couldn’t even win attritional battles on rampart mountain forts. One of the only games I have ever rage quit tbh.
I don't think you can afford to in the najd start. They're the only country in the region you can reliably declare on without allies, and the trade centre helps you a lot in maintaining your economy. Should nearly always be first war.
@@IamCogs I believe I misspoke slightly - you can do whatever sequence of wars and it will work fine for najd, but all I'm saying is that the ideal start really should involve haasa first, imo.
@@BasileosHerodou I actually enjoy Najd as a nation, and most recently for the new achievement and mission tree! Before it was mostly for the other achievements they were capable of doing.
This video kinda reminds me of my last Anbennar campaign. I was playing as one of the Sun Elves and there's a scripted religious incident where other Sun Elf countries can send investigators to you. During the investigation, there's an event that makes you go to 1v1 war against the country that sent them or lose 10 legitimacy. The whole thing is pretty early in the campaign, so you're not able to fight everyone left and right yet. Losing 10 legitimacy doesn't sound that bad, but the thing is, this event can happen as many times as it wants. One year into the incident, I went from 100 to 30 legitimacy and was so angry that it just doesn't stop. But in the end it was the most fun campaign I had in Anbennar so far.
@@Brakiros Part of the gimmick of the Sun Elves (and a lot of nations in Anbennar) is that things are *supposed* to be bad for a bit. That's the flavor, is taking an awful position and a degraded empire and putting it back together. Many of the missions focus around that. If you just use the console to alleviate the flavor of the nation, then there's no real point in playing that nation. Might as well just play Wex or Lorent instead.
@@dango6266 I posted a follow up on Laiths follow up video. It’s going great, allied Ottomans and Timurids within two months of the start and it’s only been like 15 years in game and I own most of the Arabian peninsula. Highly recommend it!
