    I posted this on your isopod care video. But maybe 2 days late so I figured you didn’t get to see it. So I’ll post the comment here in hopes you see it 🤞🏻;
    “💡Okay idea time! This might be a cool idea for the retail side of your zoo. Consider putting QR code’s next to items or pets, the QR code’s can link to your care videos on RUclips. So if someone is considering purchasing a new pet, they can just scan the code right there and see your care video for accurate information. It may help!”

    I’VE GOT AN IDEA! Instead of bats do something with epoxy/silicone and LED blue light strips to imitate cave glow-worms from the ceiling. They’re native to Australia after all! Would *totally* fit the invert cave theme too!
    Everything is looking amazing! I’m so stoked for when it’s finished!! ❤️
    (Edit: I’m glad to see this is not another stupid idea of mine! Thanks for helping improve that chances that SD Dream Team will see it!)

    With adding seating for people to rest please don't use seating which is low profile! Some people who are elderly or people who have disabilities can find it incredibly difficult to get up from a seat which is low set and if there isn't someone there to help them up they have to ask for assistance, whereas if you have seating that's not low down those people will find it much easier to have a rest and then get up independently.

    • @raccoontrashpanda1467
      @raccoontrashpanda1467 3 года назад +28

      Don't make all the seating really high though, people with knee issues who can't bend them much would be in a lot of pain trying to sit too far off the ground with their knees at a 90 degree angle. Ideally there would be two or more benches at different heights.

    • @Annie_Annie__
      @Annie_Annie__ 3 года назад +24

      @@raccoontrashpanda1467 I have a lot of knee issues, but I’m tall and can’t sit in low chairs or benches. Sometimes I can’t even bend to get in or out of low seats with assistance.
      One of the hardest parts of accessibility is maintaining access for as many people as possible even when disabilities conflict.

      I really love this idea, but I’m kind off torn between this and another idea (not mine, I’ve seen a few others comment this), a wall where you can compare how tall you are compared to other animals. Like you are as tall as *insert snake species they have in the zoo*, or your hand is as big as *insert name of spider*. Similar to how you can match your arm span to the wing spans of different birds, maybe she could do both????? Or maybe instead off where you are from, you can put a pin where your favourite reptile comes from?

    Every time they add something cool or dangly that will be out where the public can reach it, I say a little prayer that no guests will lean on it / poke holes in it / pull bits off of it / pick at it / stab it / kick it / chew on it / otherwise fold, spindle, or mutilate it. Probably because I’ve taught middle school for 22 years and I’ve seen the devastation that a troop of them can leave in their wake through sheer thoughtlessness. Love me some kids, but they don’t necessarily think before they act. ❤️

    It's hilarious and wild hearing Emily adopt Aussie-isms from being around her two co-workers/art teachers for so long! Sparrow's Fart is probably my favorite! XD
    The telegraph pole wrappings LOOK SO GOOD!! It's consistently impressive how much Universal Rocks people know about painting and interior designing and making things LOOK wet (which i admit would worry me without knowing it was fake!) with just epoxy and glue! The 'moss' being foam and painted sawdust was GENIUS! Never underestimate the value of showing off How To Do Things, even if it's "off-brand" or just a one-and-done event! I can TOTALLY imagine someone getting inspired to get into set design and painting from a spark of inspiration like this video!

    Emily, you should definitely add something called ambient scenting which is where you introduce different scents to enhance a customers experience. so for example you can have maybe a damp smell to work with the humidity of the air or a smell of jungle or wherever the reptiles come from in that area. you can also do the same with sounds-add birds screeching or rain noises to represent the jungle or wind in trees. also lighting, it all just adds really nicely to the full experience ;)
