It’s not often that Colin makes Michael squirm that much
This is the first joke swap where I think Colin just went for it. He woke up that morning and decided today was the day he’d make Che pay for years of trying to get him killed, lol
Colin definitely chose violence on this joke swap and I am here for it.
For those of you who don't know, there is no such person as Dr. Hattie Davis. This is an actress named Daphne playing her, but Colin doesn't know that, which makes Che's trolling of Jost even funnier.

What a play by Che. Calling out us in the audience, too. None of us know enough to spot a fake civil rights leader from back in the day. So the joke's on us too. An incredible cherry on top.

It's probably been mentioned before, but "Dr. Hattie Davis" is played by character actor Daphne Skeeter, who deserves just as big a round of applause for committing to the bit as Jost & Che do for taking each other down.

Absolutely love when Jost and Che trade jokes. Bringing on the civil rights activist who marched with MLK and making Colin read those jokes was a stroke of comedic genius. Definitely upped the stakes and the comedy. Poor Colin. I don't think he could have turned any redder. Great job, guys!

Che has absolutely mastered how to make Colin Jost feel beyond embarrassed but humiliated! I learned from the comments below that the elder woman was an actress in on the prank but Colin did not know that! He keeps looking at her for support or approval and she is not giving it! Che was just so delighted with his work at the end, I watched this 3 times!

Weekend Update is my favourite segment of she show, but honestly, the 'joke swap' has to be my favourite update of the year. Colin & Michael trying to see who can cancel the other the fastest & hardest, always cracks me up. And bringing on Dr Hattie Davis and forcing Colin to make jokes on MLK was a genius move.
