I got that you're going for the joke by cutting it out, but for anyone who doesn't know: Crockett had the wisdom to phrase hers as a hypothetical and not name anyone in particular, while inquiring whether such insults are now to be acceptable congressional discourse. Jost and Che are the modern equivalent of Tim Conway and Harvey Korman on the old “Carol Burnett Show.” And I mean that as the highest compliment!
Jost finally got a good 1 in with that Kendrik Lamar joke. If their goal is to get each other into trouble (which is how it appears) then he brought that one to full completion.

I have said before and i will say it again. Weekend Update posted in it’s entirety, is the very best thing to happen on Monday mornings. The comedy flows much more smoothly. It remains the funniest part of SNL. Waffle House of Representatives 😉

Love Weekend Update with these two. Beyond hilarious whatever that means lol, these season finales where they read the jokes the other has written is one of the funniest bits I’ve ever seen on SNL. Hands down a genius bit of comedy. Cannot give enough compliments to these two men. Michael Che and Colin Jost may you have much joy and continued success and know little sorrow.
