Literally, the ONLY thing I'm going to miss about Senator Mitch McConnell is all of the "seen here" jokes Colin & Michael have made about him during the Weekend Update segments on SNL.
When this metaphor is applied correctly, if you fall outside of 3-4 years of your partner, you fall into increasingly sketchy legal territory. Especially in a school zone. That's the joke. It's not meant to be taken literally unless you're a child predator. You get that right?
This was the best Weekend Update in quite a while. Solid jokes all the way through. And the last Mitch Mcconnell joke tying back to earlier, fantastic!

I do like that they turned it into an opportunity for the head writers to show off their skills & get some attention. Tina Fey never planned to be in front of the camera, I love that Lorne & WU made an actress of her. Neither Jost or Che are particularly strong in skits (makes sense, they’re not really in the cast), but it’s awesome to see them at their best.

I never understood the chopped up postings. It takes much less effort to record, stop, and post the full segment than to do all that editing/posting. Inefficient use of interns...
