SNL, what a collection of bad intentions that they somehow cashed in on...the actors that is. So, there's no conspiracies, right Colin and Michael. Just a little one maybe, right?
I like that Michael was trying so hard to trip Colin up but then when it was Colin's turn to ask questions half of them were just trying to make michael admit they're friends
I think we get it but it doesn't play that well for her. I like her though. The other polygrapher they have does "tough guy" in a funnier way. Could just be the editing though.
Right?? There's no explanation or anything. When the machine just wiggles a little bit, does mean they are lying, or does it have to wiggle a lot for it to be a lie?? Idk why they don't just overlay text in the video that says truth or lie for each answer; that would be so much better. Or, they could just have her just say truth or lie after each answer. Either would be great 😂
susan ivy What if the person has something along the lines of an anxiety disorder that would give a physiological response that may be contrary to what they’re saying because they’re on edge? I’m just curious.
@susan ivy All polygraph's test is your.... blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and skin conductivity. So they don't exactly measure your lying hormone that only gets activated when you're lying. If I have a reaction for any reason the lie detecter can mark it as a severe reaction and the person running the test will contextualize that as a lie. Looking at how calm and stern she is during this you can easily see how being in a situation that is more serious than a fun comedy bit could result in someone having a severe reaction to answering a particular question despite their honesty due to general discomfort with the situation if not something more specific.
@susan ivy Even with the best interpretation of what they do, polygraphs do not test if you're telling the truth. They simply test if you're uncomfortable with a line of questioning. There are times when the truth is more uncomfortable than a lie, and telling the truth could trigger the polygraph more than telling a lie. Also when you're uncertain about the answer, the fact that you've been asked a question you don't know the answer to while hooked up to a supposed truth telling machine is going to make you uncomfortable and trigger the machine whether you tell the truth or not. You can see that happening all through the video. Any time they're asked a specific question about a vague topic it sets off the machine. How many people remember their dreams for long periods of time? But when Michael asks specifics about Colins dreams that he clearly doesn't remember, it sets off the machine. Not because he's lying, but because he's worried what the machine might interpret as a lie, because that is a very layered question that doesn't have a simple answer. If you think hard enough, you might be able to dig up a couple of memories, so it's not entirely true to say you don't remember - although for any reasonable expectation it's completely true - but it's certainly also not true that you do remember, since you would have to put a lot of effort into just getting useless fragments. Michael is a master of making Colin uncomfortable. It's what their whole act is based on. The questions he asked were going to set off the machine no matter what Colin said.
Her seriousness and snarky responses are cracking me up. Che grilling Jost and giving him a hard time is hilarious. And Colin's laugh is hella contagious.
Colin’s face after Che’s “Not enough attention” is how you know they’re great friends. He understood that he was serious and the response was heartfelt and waited for eye contact and nodded to acknowledge his words and offer silent empathy. They pick at each other, but clearly have the upmost respect. Che got deep with the “I think it’s fixed” too.
The problem with Manhattan? Not enough attention. The response was sarcastic and deadpan. And hilarious. Colin joined in the deadpan serious tone, making it even more funny. Camera scans to lie detector test lady, seemingly oblivious, for humorous effect. Also, lie detector machine not moving, which tells you something about lie detector machines.

This is legit what I was thinking, like he could play like 30 year old kennedy
Agreed
“are you funny because deep down you’re *miserable* ?” LMAOOOOO
I love that Michael is just spending the whole video trying to get Colin to break like they’re on SNL 😂😂
Colin & Che are the greatest comedy duo in decades if not absolutely ever. I think they’ve done so much better for the country then 45 ever could. Their friendship is genuine and frankly beautiful.
*”Have you gotten away with a crime?”*
“Yes.”
*”Was it a misdemeanor or a felony?”*
“Which one is tax evasion?”
absolutely killed me
@@cgreen399 not FBI, the IRS, and there's no statute of limitations for tax evasion.
And then her answering felony, so he said misdemeanor 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I like how these two appear to be genuinely friends. It makes them more entertaining together.
If Tom Holland do this he will reveal the whole Phase 4.
lol yes!!
You think he knows anything about phase four?!
@@ameliaoconnor8734 facts
he should do it with jake gyllehaal that would be so cool
@@ameliaoconnor8734 no😭 they literally made him film scenes that weren’t even in endgame so he wouldn’t say anything 😭😭
Colin: Cockfights are legal in America, right?
Che: Yes, except you can’t use chickens
I’m dying
edit: spelling :))
RIP 🙏 ⚰ you will be missed 😢.
I had never gotten a chance to REALLY detail Michel Che's face before but... he's more attractive than I previously thought. Like... he's just straight up attractive. This was cool to watch.
I had the same reaction. The facial expressions he has on Weekend Update don't showcase him. Turns out he has a lovely mouth, good symmetry, and purty eyes.
@@esria EXACTLY! Thanks for explaining it for me! :D
Gabriela Fermin Love that you said this because I agree!!! Before this I just watched a stand up clip of him about white girls in Brooklyn and was like whoa since when is Michael Che SO hot and attractive?!?! I’ve never once seeing him a million times on WU thought he was hot.... so weird!
"Everyone should be made fun of at least 4 times a week." Deep!
I would hate that
@@frostyskeletons8950 just proves his point
“did you ever kill a woman?” “If I did it was only of a broken heart”. -> lie detector operator cracks
Yes, I'm a Beth as well. What was THAT about? I'm so curious!
"Not enough attention" cut me deep. That's how I feel about the South Bronx and Spanish Harlem, growing up. Perfect answer, no drama, nothing mean.
Can you elaborate please?
Nobody:
Colin Jost: *wheeze*
buzzfeed unsolved is shaking
“misdemeanor or felony”
“which one is tax evasion” 😭😭😭😭
“You’re literally yelling at a machine right now...”
“Look, Lady, I’ve yelled at my toaster before, and it wasn’t judging me in front of the whole internet. Don’t tell me what crazy sounds like!”
Best comment. You win!
I love how Michael always brings the Harvard thing up
"If you could give marital advice to pete what would it be?"
"Yes"
LIES
"Bad friend says what?" LOL
When Colin asked Michael what’s wrong with where he grew up.. his answer was so heartfelt and sad... I’m crying
"which one is tax evasion?" LMFAO
I love how Che didn't lie about voting for Trump or having a tough childhood, but somehow he lied about watching the Kardashians hahaha
"You're yelling at a machine right now." Best line ever! Hahahahahahahaha.

I really wanted to like this, but we're at 420 votes and I'm a respectable millenial
not broken,
Absolute chills smh
"Do you think our current political system is broken?""No, I think it's fixed"I have never been more attracted to Che than this moment.
Awww, the "friend or co-worker" question left them all blushed. Too cute!
