I’m British and don’t watch SNL much, but found these two on here and they are hilarious! I’m pretty sure Colin gets the raw deal with the jokes. I was glad to read he is very popular with black viewers.
@@mimib8032 it would be uppity of you to try!! However these two are the best part of SNL and I cannot think of a UK equivalent. What makes the jokes excruciating funny is that we know that Colin’s most “racist” comments are written by Che just make him squirm for Che’s (and our) sadistic pleasure.

It's a win-win for everyone: they get to use the jokes they wouldn't otherwise because it's within the conceit of them hanging the other out to dry, and we get to mask our enjoyment outwardly if we want to behind the pretense of laughing at them setting the other up. It makes the jokes less about punching down since so much of it is them punching across at each other.
Yes the jokes make you laugh but the true strength of these jokes is pointing out the absurdity of our divisions and breaking them down. So clever and really important. We need to be poking more fun at things especially those who tell us not to. Well done to all involved.

I don't know what's funnier. Watching Colin squirm and look horrified at what he just read. Or Michael fake shock and outrage pretending he didn't write that for Colin to read.
I love the way these two friends are showing the world that what many are percieving as racism isn't real. That it's nothing but a mechanism our rulers are using to dividing and conquering us. ❤

Normally, Colin gets the worse of the trades, but making Che say “Rest In Power, King” is the most savage return.

Che: Trying to get Colin KILLED

Writing gags for each other (supposedly) is a great way to be able to tell politically incorrect racist jokes on television.
Well it’s funny. It’s about time comedy came back.
It's still funny tho
@@carlostyes6458 Very. I just thought it was a clever way to get away with it.

The guilt in Che's face when Colin said: "Why??!!!!" 😂
Not gonna lie the MLK joke had me laughing on the floor
Colin's WHY! was even better LMFAO
holy crap, that "emergency import of Nick Cannon" made me laugh about as hard as I have ever laughed at one of these guys' jokes. Applause my friends.
That Kevin Spacey joke was pure Norm Macdonald.

This pair plays so well off of each other. Especially when Colin is caught flatfooted as he'd reading a punchline that Che wrote!
For me, the funniest joke ever said in SNL is the "Merry Christmas homeboy, you're fired"
