      Hello Andrew.
      I ran into a few problems with the lift, but I'm slowly solving them. Currently working on why the Fox spacer kit for the factory sway bar does not work. I'll upload the video once I have everything solved.

    This isn’t a “driveshaft spacer” it’s a carrier bearing drop kit. Driveshaft spacer is a spacer the actually connects to the rear of the shaft between the pumpkin and the shaft.

    Would you recommend getting the drop diff kit as well? I’m planning on going for the similar type of lift, fox 2.5 dsc and running 33’s. Thanks for uploading your videos, they helps a ton.

      Buy the spacers and install them. They only cost $25 and it could eliminate the vibration.

    help!! I just leveled my 2018 Tacoma with 4k on it, 2.5 front and 1.5 rear.I also did the carrier bearing spacer drop and replaced the needle bearing drivers side, and still have vibration at 40k an hour,

    • @pentzwerks
      @pentzwerks  5 лет назад

      Hello Ferncules.
      Contact the dealer that you bought it from and tell them to look at it. Did you have the dealership perform the modifications / suspension? Who did the install? I haven't had to replace the needle bearing, what made you want to change it? You might have a loose upper control arm, I thought my needle bearing was going out and it ended up being a loose upper control through bolt.

      What kind of lift fr the rear isit spacer block? If its a block,some spacer blocks are tapered, did you install it correctly with lower end towards the front and high end of the block towards the rear,or if AAL did you install tampered shims,BTW would you happen to know the thread size on the carrier bearing bolts that these package come with ?

      Hello Ramit Prasad.
      How tall is your lift? 3” or 6”. I would not suggest double stacking them unless you buy a solid spacer. Do not stack to speedster prices.

      It should work on the hilux as both the hilux and tacoma are based on the same frame. I would try it and see if it works.

      @pentzwerks  3 года назад

      Hello Dannyboi_301
      It worked on my 3" lift so i would assume it would work on a larger lift. I'd recommend trying to out first; then determining whether or not it helped.

  • @ROFLgator1

    After doing a 3inch lift, would you also need to get after market CV Axles?

    • @pentzwerks
      @pentzwerks  6 лет назад

      Hello ROFLgator.
      I would suggest CV Axles if you were going to lift your truck up more than 3.5 inches, or switching a long travel suspension. If you are only planning on lifting your truck between 0 - 3 inches, CV Axles are not needed. I would recommend extended brake lines though if you're planning on "flexing" your suspension. Let me know if you have any other questions, the suspension install video should be up in a few days.

      Stryker of Seattle cool cool, are you planning to regear your truck too? Or do you feel like your truck runs just fine after the lift & 33" tires ?

    • @pentzwerks
      @pentzwerks  6 лет назад

      Hello ROFLgator.
      No need to regear with 33 inch tires, if you're upgrading to 35 inch tires then it's a must. For right now, I have no plans on regearing and going to a 35 inch tire. 95% of my driving is 60 mph or less, thus I do not see the significants of the gear ratio in the stock configuration.

    • @ROFLgator1
      @ROFLgator1 6 лет назад

      Stryker of Seattle I'm in Tacoma world all the time & the general consensus there seems to be to regear after 3inch lift and 33" tires. I assume that's mainly for those that wheel often (idk). My Tacoma is a daily driver, I'm still skeptical about lifting it & getting bigger tires. Looking forward to your next vid

    • @pentzwerks
      @pentzwerks  6 лет назад +1

      You can always regear, even if you need it or do not need it. You regear to the spec of your tire. The problem with Tacoma world is that it's all opinion based and not manufacture based. For example, I followed the guide of a person on Tacoma World when adjusting my preload on my new Fox shocks.. they were completely wrong. Called Fox Customer Support and they told me how to do it properly. This is will explained in greater detail once I upload my new videos.

    I lifted my Tacoma and didn’t get these spacers. Is it a must?

    • @pentzwerks
      @pentzwerks  6 лет назад +1

      Hello Mankelberrie.
      How much did you lift your Tacoma? If it's under 2 inches then I would not worry about it. If it's above 2 inches then I would recommend installing this spacer kit as it relieves the driveshaft angle so that it does not damage your drive shaft. I only installed it out of "precaution," but it's not a must. Usually you'll hear some scraping or grinding from under the truck if the draft shaft is at too much of an angle due to a lift, if you do not hear the grinding and do not notice a change after the lift then you do not have to install it. Let me know if this answers your question.
      In short, it's not a must but recommended if you want to prevent damage from happening "if it even happens."

      Stryker of Seattle thanks for the reply! I hot ome 888 coils with medium darker and bilstien 5100. I haven’t heard anything yet but I’ll listen while I drive. And you’re right better safe than sorry.
