Hey Issac, could you make a video on Johnathan Loaisiga? He is a really interesting player, one of the only players from Nicaragua, and he's lights out. He is also a pretty small baseball player and throws triple digits consistently. He used to be a starter but as a reliever he's one of the best in all of baseball.

As a Pirates fan I remember always watching him and just being so proud we finally had a star and the entire city was shocked when he was arrested. Before the Crick story and eventually the child story broker Vazquez seemed like a crazy, but fun guy. I miss him so much but I mean he got what he deserved

@@joetheastrosfan3460 Might not be, he is eligible for parole very soon because of how long he had been in custody pre-trial which he got credit for time served. His sentence was only 2 to 4 years.
Couple questions I have.
1. He is still technically, administratively a Pittsburgh Pirate. I know he isn't actually getting to collect any of his salary and it's really just paperwork for the front office but why is this? The guaranteed portion of his contract was up after 2021 so why didn't they just decline his option and release him?
2. Vazquez said on the stand that the girl lied to him about her age and also sent him a picture of a fake ID which indicated she was the age she told him she was. The girl, for her part, admitted to lying to Vazquez about her age when they first started talking but denied ever having a fake ID let alone sending Vazquez a picture of it. Surely, both Vazquez and the girl know whether or not there was a fake ID yet their sworn testimonies don't match up so didn't one of them just commit perjury?

As long as the representation of the criminal classes is proportional in baseball versus the rest of the world it’s just a reality we have to live with. If baseball is attracting/producing/encouraging these types that’s another issue entirely.
I found a rate of victimization of women as 8.4 per 1,000. I couldn’t find a rate at which men commit domestic violence. MLB has a handful at worst of the over-1000 men that play every year, so on the surface it might seem better. They can be suspended for less than what would be a crime in the jurisdiction, but incidents might be underreported because of the consequences.
