    One tip for Voyager Focus buyers: If it hurts to wear it after long periods of time, stretch the headphones apart until the steel band is nearly straight, and this causes it to remember a wider position and press on your head more lightly. I have a massive head and used to get ear aches from wearing this for long meetings, but after stretching the band open once or twice I can wear them for 12 hours without an ache.

    Nice video.
    I got the V Focus for few years now and personally I cannot fault them. Great fitting and soft as you mention. Sound quality is good bearing in mind what we use them for course.
    Switches seamlessly between devices. I work with mobile and laptop and is just perfect. Music on, a call hits and transfers without a touch of a button, "ambidextrous" use, ANC is great for noise environments ie call centre. And a few more features. Good value for money I got to say.
    Yet to get my hands on a Evolve2 65 but time to work with my H&S hat and get one on trial :) Thanks for the video

    Great video. I used this Plantronics set for years, and it had integration so I could mute Skype (that was Microsoft's office call software when I bought it) with a button on the mic boom, but after switching to Microsoft Teams, that button never worked right again, despite many tweaks trying to fix it through the software that edits the setting for this headset. Not being able to mute from the headset did remove a useful feature, but people loved to talk to me on these while driving, even in noisy construction, because the Plantronics was so good at removing background noise.

      The headset sometimes can get confused. There are two different ways you can mute the headset, by clicking the mic up, or pressing the red button. Have you tried both?

    • @GreenLegendRan
      @GreenLegendRan 3 года назад

      @@PKShiu I know all of it's functions, including the ones only exposed by its config software, and none of the ways to mute worked after my company switched from Skype to Teams. Only software mute via the phone app would work, after that.

    I've had have the Voyager Focus for several years and really love them. They are light enough to wear for hours. I believe the new version 2 of them will mute the call if you flip the microphone up.

    I have the Voyager Focus UC. It's a great headset! But the ANC on my headset no longer works and warranty is done. Ended up getting the Evolve2 65 which I'm still testing it out. I find the Voyager fits better on my head.

      Agree with your experience! The ANC is not that important to me when I am at home. I am switching between the two because of doing reviews :-)

    Just got my evolve2 today from amazon and I am kind of disappointed regarding the build quality. For example, the left ear cup cover (outside plate) is a little loose and makes some noise when I move my head. Second, when I bend down the mic, it is really not smooth and makes little scratch noises. Return label is already printed. I‘ll keep the Plantronics.

    • @PKShiu

      That shouldn’t happen. Definitely return it!

    the Voyager Focus will go on mute when you take it off your head and talk to someone. Also pauses playback. I have no experience with this Jabra but I had the one before and that literally hurt my head after just an hour. I cannot even feel the Voyager. Sound quality is for meeting so good enough....

    Hi, I am evaluating between the two for wfh meetings, and my concern is seamless connectivity using USB dongle and compatibility with Linux based OS(fedora). Which one would be a better buy: Plantronics voyager focus, Jabra evolve2 65 or Logitech Zone Wireless? I am also concerned about it being light weight and not feel so heavy on the head. Please recommend, thanks.

      I do not know about Linux compatibility. For light weight, I really like the suspension system on the Voyager Focus.

    I had just commented on another one of your videos and mentioned that I was disappointed with a headset that I recently bought. it's the Sony WH-1000xm4 that cost me almost $400. I'm not sure if you pulled out the exact ones that I have in this video and said that they are good but, if they are the exact ones, are you having the same issues that I've had with mine? So the issues I'm experiencing are popping sounds and skipping and I've tried to fix the issue even resetting the headphones but nothing worked. I've changed settings on my laptop and researched videos to try and help fix the issues. I've even compared them to a second hand pair of headphones that I've had for a couple years and those ones turned out to be way better than the Sony ones that I had just bought. I need to get a pair to work from home and also use to do voiceovers and I'm planning on purchasing the Plantronics Voyager focus UC. Would you recommend the Plantronics to be used for doing voiceovers?

    • @PKShiu
      @PKShiu  3 года назад +1

      The sony XM4 quality is really good - for a pair of Bluetooth headset. I would not say the mic quality is good enough for any type of professional use at all. The Voyager focus UC’s mic is better, but still - they are good for video conferencing, but not for voiceover work ! For that you will need a condenser mic wired via USB directly onto your laptop. Something like a blue yeti. If you check out my other reviews, they are all mic’ed by either a blue yeti, or a small audio technica condenser lavalier mic.
