    I bought these two - my wife has bose 700 and I use Jabra evolve2 85. Firstly jabra's boom mic is working better in the noise environment because when you are not speaking, it cancels all noise, even loud speak of my wife from 2 meters in one room.
    Regarding noice cancelling when you are speaking, it is comparable, a little bit better in bose - but the difference is very very small.
    I am adding this comment because I had doubts what to choose and bought these two with the idea to return if one of them will be worse. Finally, I leave two of them because the differences are really small and to be honest - these models are the best on the market regarding noice cancelling for speaking
    Regarding sound quality both play sound really well but no of them cannot be comaparable with bang and olufsen h9i which I have too.
    My advice - if you spend a time in a noisy environment - choose Jabra's, if you would like to have more modern settings (such as Jabra 380 bluetooth with usbc dongle) and boom mic choose Jabra. I believe that the jabra team also improves firmware to be better in case of noise canceling when speaking in nearest future than even in bose with their 10mics.
    If you spend a time in home and boom mic is not needed, you prefer a little bit better sound(but it is a little!) and lightweight design choose bose.

Still unsure as to the Bose as people report firmware issues but the Jabra at the moment are costing a lot more for the MS Teams version (or are unavailable). Will use this info to help me decide. Tony Cai Hi. Thanks, Yes they’re in stock now on Amazon but I decided to get the Evolve 75 MS which is older but more established (and half the price !) whereas these are just too new for me to risk yet. I have XM3 to use as well outside of the working day. Maybe in the future I’ll upgrade.

    Before you read all below and in case you are questioning why Jabra seems to perform low in a noisy environment, pls remember that Jabra switches off ANC and purposefully feeds in ambient sound so that you could hear your own voice. This is actually a feature, not a bug as most people are uncomfotable not being able to hear their own selves when conferencing.

    • @borasumer
      @borasumer 3 года назад +6

      That is actually a great feature, otherwise you get that feeling of blocked ears which is super annoying.

    • @Rocycle
      @Rocycle Год назад +1

      I believe what you're referring to is "hear through" which can be dialed up or down on the Jabra sound ap to let in ambient noise. Hear Through isn't specifically designed to let in your own voice. The one, that let's you hear your own voice (which IMO is essential for a good call experience) is the "sidetone" feature. Similarly, sidetone can be scaled up and down and turned off all together in the Jabra sound ap. In order for this review to be meaningful, @EBPMAN would need to let us know which settings he has selected. IME, ANC is turned off by default when on a phone call in preference of the other two features which need to be turned off for ANC during a call. I understand Bose has a similar function in their ap which they call "self voice".

    Killer difference; you can't charge Bose headphones while using them! This is across their entire range of wireless headphones, and is constantly complained about on their forums.
    It's a complete pain, as when you forget to charge them and they run out of power you have to switch to a different pair while you charge them. The Jabra devices allow use while charging and even switch to "wired headphone" mode so they appear as a USB device.
    I love Bose noise cancelling, own two pairs of their headphones (QC35 II and QC25) but this limitation is the reason I use Jabra's for office use.

I have a question - which headphones would you recommend for work at home, when there is noisy renovation around (drills - high tones, jackhammers - low tones, everything very loud and I will have it like this for the next year) I need headphones for phone calls and lots of video conferences - unfortunately in such terribly noisy conditions.I want my own comfort, to get away from those loud noises, and the comfort of the listener during conversations and video meetings. Which would be better Jabra or Bose or maybe some other?

When I work from home, I work with my partner next to me and we sometimes have meetings on at the same time. Given the Bose 700's seem to have better microphone isolation, would you say these would be the best to get if I'm trying to make sure her conversation isn't being picked up and heard by people I'm on a call with? Or is there another headset you might recommend for this situation?

    I got both:
    Jabra : better battery (a lot better) , a lot better BT range in my flat (in office it's works even better), docking station, more futures which cause more software issues, best mic anc.
    Bose: fits better to my head, much lighter, less heat on ear, a lot less futures , 20h I got them from two weeks - max is 15h, BT range is incredibly low - max 10m on open space, very good anc,
    Overall I chose bose as I spend whole working day with them and comfort is better but this is totally individual case also 15 h is still ok for one working day even though there is no docking station on bose.
    btw. Jabra are used now by my wife and she likes them ;)

    For people who are thinking about buying NC 700 because of this video, please don't. Bose NC 700 will not give anything but regret to you, guaranteed. I loved how practical and truthful EBPMAN has been, but NC700 is literally the worst headphone you can buy over $300, for daily usage. Here are the truths : 1) the headphone might get bricked when you update the firmware. 2) The headphone has a multi connect issue, making it impossible to be used on more than one device. 3) it randomly reboots and makes the ear-piercing sound in every 1 to 10 m. 4) ALL PROBLEMS has been there for over a year and NONE OF THE PROBLEMS HAS BEEN FIXED. Do not buy NC700 or any of the Bose products.

      I can tell now after returning the Sony wh1000xm4 and been using the Jabra evolve 2 85 for almost 2 monthts on my Macbook, I couldnt be happier!!! First of all they come with a Bluetooth dedicated dongle which works perfectly! In this way I avoid the Macbook Bluetooth which is known for NOT performing too well! Saying that you can connect the Jabra to multiple devices but this is nothing you would see with the Sony! The headphones would AUTOMATICALLY switch when you get a call on your phone. You dont need to manually switch. Its very impressing. For work Its the best headphones ever had!!!

    Jabra Evolve 2: So many issues with this headset. Unable to update it with new firmware. Sometimes the headset does not unmute when lowering mic. Quite often the headset is not connecting to the computer and I have to remove the dongle, reconnect it, turn off and on my headset. Many people in my office use this headset. I've heard a lot of different issues both similar to mine, and different that people have. Including the mic not working. DO NOT BUY! (When it works the mic is good, comfort is good and sound is good, but with all the bugs just don't buy it!)

    So which is better? It's your second review where you don't answer the question. Opinions matter.
    At the same time your comparaison is not direct between them. If you present mic test you shouldn't do pauses between them explaining what you will do. Direct samples comparaison. Jabra silent env to bose silent env...

    What about with wind noise?

      Billy Newport I got the Evolve2 85 a three weeks ago and used them in almost storm-like conditions on a cruise ship last week with ANC on. Wind noise was filtered out surprisingly well, I could listen to music on deck without any issues. Didn’t make any calls though. Wind was much more noticable on my old Bose QC25 wih ANC on for what it’s worth.

    Just to add if you needed to make a private conversation in an open/public space and needed to whisper, the Jabra would probably do a better job because of the boom mic.

      The Sony have the best bass and audio signature and even anc. But the bose have the best call quality. The audio coming second is not bad nor is the anc. Let's say scale 1 to 10. Sony rank 9 AND bose come in at 8. But audio bose is 10 Sony is 7. Hope this helps
